The area features a plethora of nearby hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, and swimming. Or enjoy the simplicity of reading a book, sitting by the fire, and letting the forest share its splendor with you. This house is also only about an hour drive to beautiful Lake Almanor and the amazing gem of Lassen National Park. It is very easy to go up for a day to go boating, fishing, a hike to the hot springs and hydrothermal areas, or have a picnic. The drive between here and there is on well maintained roads and the scenery is absolutely stunning.
While Chico may look a bit far away on the map, the highway gets you there in 20 short minutes. This university town is well known for its mixture of vibrance, the arts, and small town rural living. We were in the rv first time we stayed and the cottage the second time. Loved them both. Clean, comfy, ac worked amazing! Off the beaten path, which we really liked! Both had everything you might need for a great stay. Will stay again when passing through!
Rv was a bit too short for my husband (he’s 6’6”).

4 nights at Little House in the Big Woods
This place was easy to find and SO CUTE! I wanted a little getaway to just chill by sun trees, and this was a great spot for that. I really enjoyed working on a puzzle with a hot tea, and cozied up by the space heater. The only thing is I think you have to request that the fridge gets turned on before you stay, and I didn't think to. It was cool, though, because I already planned to eat out and I just kept my water in there. Lol! The shower also works great, and I really enjoyed the little salt lamp.

Great stay! Easy access into the home, perfect communication from the owners, and the house had everything we needed plus more. Absolutely would stay again and highly recommend it
