Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Ken’s Eagles Nest was the perfect retreat for our babymoon. The cabin was exceptionally cozy and stocked with thoughtful amenities that truly exceeded our expectations — a clean composting toilet, a warm outdoor shower, an easy-to-use outdoor stove, and a great campfire pit for relaxing evenings. The huge windows offered stunning views that made the whole place feel peaceful and connected to nature. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely recharged. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, serene getaway!

Gemini Moon Ranch is a wonderfully unique and charming place. We stayed in the Artist Gallery and it was so cute and comfortable. We also did a stained glass class with Tracy which was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back for Soulful Sundays, one of their events and a girls weekend.

We loved our time at eagles nest! Ken our host was great! He gave us great instructions on how to get to the site and also gave us many recommendations on places to visit around the area. I stayed at this glamping site for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The property itself is gorgeous—quiet, well maintained, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for something that blends outdoor adventure with hotel-like comfort, this place nails it. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit.

Weekend Trip to Magical Harrison Serenity Ranch

We had an amazing time glamping at Vicki’s. The stars were amazing, the forest calming, and we loved the yoga deck. Vicki was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The land is magical! The beds were super comfy and my young children and older dog really enjoyed themselves. Amazing adventure just over an hour away from home. Warning- we did use our 4 wheel drive to get around certain areas (and we loved it). Not the place to drive a lowriding car. We will most definitely be back!

Tucked away on a dirt hill, the bright orange VW bus sits shaded against a huge boulder. It opens completely in the back for a cool breeze and paints a retro picture. There are two metal chairs besides it. I was expecting a picnic table, but that was absent. Luckily, I brought a table. The wooden platform below the bus was a really nice touch. I would have loved an outdoor rug to complete the look. I would recommend bringing your own lighting (lanterns, headlamps, lights). Overall, it's a unique, van life camping spot.

We had such a great time here! The place is super peaceful and relaxing, and Vicki was really helpful in finding us a spot that worked best with our child. Our kid loved meeting the pigs and chickens — it made the stay extra fun. The tents are nicely spread out, so you don’t feel crowded or disturbed by others. We especially enjoyed the foggy mornings with the fresh forest smell — such a perfect little getaway!

This cabin was so beautiful and delightful. I solo stayed with my dog as a woman and it was completely safe! The host was kind and communicated the whole way through. This is a great place to camp, and so close to home! Beautiful land. Petting the free-range goats was a plus. We stayed in the VW bus, which was really comfortable with the full-size mattress. Though I imaging tent camping would be great too.

This was an amazing stay, one of the best I’ve found on Hipcamp. There’s really no need to bring anything other than a change of clothes and whatever you feel like cooking in the outdoor cooking area. The view from the deck was incredible and the nighttime view serene. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this stay for the outdoor enthusiast or for anyone needing to unplug for a bit.
