Beautiful spot located at my property on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation. See a legal cannabis farm in action at all times of the seasons while sleeping in a fully functioning 2023 Jayco farmhouse edition camper. The camper has a new Queen bed, electricity, refrigerator, running water, wi-fi, heater and air conditioning. For cooking there are options such as the kitchenette in the camper, outdoor grill and camp stove with a flat grill. There is a fire pit stocked with wood . I also provide camping chairs, utensils and much more. The star viewing is amazing. There is a private hiking trail and a shaded dog area for your pet to enjoy. Local activities such as hiking and visiting historic Julian, a short drive to Anza Borrego are all in the area. We are located on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, make either a left or right from Hwy 79 onto Camino San Ignacio in Warner Springs, CA, keep to the left at the loop and drive out about 5 miles . When you reach the Ranger Station at the stop sign, make the first left at the sign located at 1600 Camino San Ignacio and drive all the way out to the back. The Happy Camper is located on the left.

THE AREA: Tucked away under a grove of oak trees, and circled by manzanita trees, sits "Manzanita Cove". A secluded glamping site that contains everything you need, including a private (seasonal pond). This private site is provided with about 1/2 acre of seclusion and equipped with everything needed for an amazing outdoor experience. The total property is about 5 acres, but is shared with our AirBnB: "Julians Red Fox Retreat", which can be booked separately or together with our "Manzanita Cove" glamping site. There are several hammocks around the grounds to relax as well as a few short trails to walk. The property is about a 7 minute drive from downtown Julian and Wynola. WINTER/ SPRING GUESTS: Access to the site is down a bit of a steep dirt road, so we suggest that winter and Spring campers (wet weather) have AWD/4WD or park at the top and walk down. Otherwise is it accessible by most vehicles other parts of the year. Please do not stop on the hill when leaving. You will spin your tires and damage the road.

I have 10 chickens, 2 cats and my dog Bosco.

Weekend Trip to Hideout Mountain Lodge

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at Cabin #1 — The Bluebird's Nest — and it was an absolute gem of an experience from start to finish. Hideout Mountain Lodge is the kind of place that immediately feels like a home away from home. Hosts Janice and Mike set the tone right from the start. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive — exactly the kind of hosts that make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another booking. It's clear they take real pride in what they've created here. The cabin itself was wonderful, but what truly elevated our stay was the unexpected bonus of live music at Josie's Hideout Saloon. The band Gallivant was playing throughout our visit and they were fantastic — the perfect soundtrack to mountain life. It added such a fun, lively energy to the whole experience and was a delightful surprise we didn't see coming. This place is a keeper. The setting, the hospitality, the atmosphere — it all comes together in a way that's hard to find. We will absolutely be coming back and can't recommend Hideout Mountain Lodge highly enough. Do yourself a favor and book a stay — you won't regret it! 🏕️

This was a super cool cabin. Lots of attention to detail with the motif for sure. Beautiful area as well. Would stay there again. Had some difficulty with the wifi. I wasn't concerned as much, but the friend i was with figured out how to get it going. Someone not as tech-oriented might have had to call about that. One thing to note about the setup also, is that the area with the main bed is pretty tight. This didn't bother me, but I could picture someone not as flexible taking issue with this.

There were no other guests on the property so I was able to explore around (maybe for future trips?). Its a beautiful place and the view of Lake Henshaw was breathtaking. Beautiful get-away! This is certainly a wonderful break from the city at a mountainous location, close to San Diego. You don't need a 4x4 to get up the dirt/gravel road. Tom and Stacy were very hospitable. They left plenty of firewood for the fire pit, snacks and water, towels/washclothes, paper towels and toilet paper, board games, wifi, tv, soap, dishes, plus plenty of extra bedding and sleeping bags, trash bags. The area is fenced in but we warned of poison oak/ivy if we ventured far from the paths and mowed areas. There really aren't hiking trails leading directly from the glamping area, except there a wonderful steep dirt road we walked up many times which rewards an amazing view. Make sure to test the hot water heater beforehand. Also, the water is supplied from an on-site spring well so it's wonderful and plentiful. The only things we would bring to stay again would be binoculars (many birds to see), aluminum foil plus cooking oil to make cooking/warming food on the fire pit easier (there is also a propane grill outside. We did forget our dog's throwing stick but found the area small enough to just throw the ball and let is roll down the steep hill (our labrador absolutely loved staying here and Tom and Stacy were very friendly to her staying as well).

simply amazing, the whole experience was just amazing...star gazing by the pond with nature providing the soundtrack, the bats flying around us (not a sacary thing at all hahaha) ,the view...wow ..

1 night at Hideout Mountain Lodge

We had everything we needed in this cozy little space! Firepit, extra wood, heater for a really chilly night, utensils were provided that we didn't even need. Close by and easy to access shower + bathroom options! The sites and views were BEAUTIFUL and me and my little family had such a lovely, peaceful time. Plenty of wildlife to scope out and you're only a twenty minute drive away from Pie. Absolutely woulds stay here again! If you're looking for a cozy get away, look no further. So happy we chose this spot!

We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and setup nicely. The place was so quiet in the evening that it allowed us to stargaze with such peace and tranquility. Communication with the host was seamless as well as the check in process. My favorite part of the cabin was the fireplace. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again in the near future!
