Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax. We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences. The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. We have 3 accommodations on the property -A GUEST SUITE (lakeside), up to 5 people. -A CABIN (15 min walk or 3 min drive/5 min walk, up to 4 people. -A GLAMPING DOME with an additional teepee tent site (lakeside)! Up to 6 people. We have fishing boat, kayaks, and paddle boards for rent. If you want an epic stay in the forest, private and away from others, this is your place. Also close to Grass Valley (15min), Nevada City (20 min), Colfax (less than 10).

The perfect solo escape! Treat yourself to a quiet getaway for one at this cozy, clean and comfortable cabin on our rural farm, between two rivers, on Sherman Island. Located in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area at the confluence of the San Joaquin River, Sacramento River, and the eastern terminus of San Francisco Bay, Sherman Island is known for its wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets, and its dark sky for stargazing opportunities. The property is surrounded by alfalfa fields, grazing cattle, sheep, and a wildland habitat populated with migratory and native birds, animals, and plants. The one-room cabin has a bed and clawfoot bathtub with hot water offering a peaceful escape on our 5-acre tree-lined farm. Here you can listen to birdsong instead of the sounds of the city. This is an ideal cabin for birdwatchers, writers, plein air painters, nature photographers, stargazing, windsurfers/kiteboarders, meditation, or some stress-free, peaceful reset time. The private cottage has a refrigerator, microwave, compostable dinnerware, drinking water, and a coffeemaker with coffee. It is air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. Pets are welcome and free to enjoy being off-leash in the cabin's fenced yard. The hosts raise free-range chickens and bees on their farm and also conduct a nonprofit rescue and hospice for senior pets. The property is in the Pacific Migratory Flyway, surrounded by a 1000-acre State habitat/preserve populated by wildlife and seasonal birds. Downtown San Francisco and Sacramento are each about 50 miles away in opposite directions. Mount Diablo, viewed from the property, is about 15 miles south and offers hiking trails with stunning views and abundant wildlife. Friday bookings are for a minimum of 2 nights.

The space Your private section of the cabin has beautiful rustic living room and dining area with knotty pine paneling, beamed ceilings, large fireplace made of petrified wood and stone. There is no kitchen but there is a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. BBQ and 2 burner stove outside for your use. Two bedrooms. Master suite has queen bed, bathroom with shower, 2 sinks and separate toilet stall with locking door. 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds. Living room has queen sofa bed. Hot tub located within 15 feet of your master bedroom. You have full use of the property. Many quests take advantage of the firepit/outdoor seating area for stargazing or marshmallows roasting. There is a wonderful swing in the back yard as well as a large deck with comfortable seating accessed by the French doors off the master suite. Rollins Lake is one mile away. Very quiet neighborhood. 5 miles from Colfax and Hwy 80. 10 miles from Grass Valley and Hwy 49. I am right next door should you need anything. Very large parking area. Guest access Your private entrance front door opens out onto a covered porch. Stone steps lead to front yard and fire pit. Entire 2 acres is fully fenced. View of pond. French doors open off master bedroom and lead to large deck, hot tub and additional seating. View of vintage workshop and stone steps invite you to try the rope swing hanging from 200' oak tree. Other things to note 1.) I appreciate guests whose dogs are well behaved and well groomed. 2 .) I ask that guests shower prior to using the hot tub. Our skin oils, lotions, sunscreen, insect repellent and hair products get can wreak havok with the filters and cleanliness of the water which I work hard to maintain as pristine. 3.) I have everything needed, I'm right next door. From bandaids to bowls, just ask!
