Located in the Capay Valley near Cache Creek Casino, Full Belly Farm, Taber Ranch and other event venues, we offer a quiet getaway full of stars, wild life and farm animals. Our 55 acre ranch features cattle, sheep, ducks and chickens, as well as 2 small fruit orchards. Several popular access sites for Cache Creek recreation (rafting, floating) are within a 5 minute drive. We also are very close to popular off road recreation access via the Ridge Trail (County Rd 41) as well as horseback trails such as Cowboy Camp. However, we can only accommodate one or two UTV/Horse trailers at a time, as our parking is limited. We offer several accommodation options that can be combined to fit larger groups. We welcome wedding guests! Nopal Artist Studio An open concept light filled artist and musician studio featuring a pullout sofa, a large sofa in a nook, and floor space for additional camping mats. Has a full kitchen, refrigerator, stove and access to washer and dryer. En suite bathroom features a clawfoot tub. TV and DVD player, internet access. Cabin 1 Features a full size bed and a twin size bed. Perfect for parents with one or two children. Cabin 2 Features a queen size bed and small loft. (Very small, but we have had teens sleep up there because it was fun!) Both cabins have a small plug in heater, and a window AC for the hot hours. Wifi reception is limited. The cabins have a indoor/outdoor bathroom with a sink and toilet and a small kitchenette featuring coffee and tea setup, hotplate and mini fridge. You also have access to the outdoor picnic area under the fig tree which has a BBQ, picnic table and sink for rinsing dishes. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! Please be aware, this is snake country!

Located about 100 feet from the Nopal Studio we have a small fruit orchard where we have room for two tent camping sites. You will be able to have your vehicle within 150 feet, but not right at your tent. All vehicles must stay on gravel roads to prevent sparks and also getting stuck in the mud if it is spring. You will have access to the picnic area which features a sink for washing dishes, a table and a gas BBQ. There is also an indoor outdoor bathroom, and an outdoor shower. This is shared with the cabins, so please be respectful and cleanup after yourselves.

The bathroom is about 70 feet away, and there is a small kitchenette with mini fridge, pots and pans, condiments, coffee maker and coffee supplies and hot plate. There are dishes and an outdoor sink for dishwashing. Filtered water is provided for drinking and cooking. There is no freezer, sorry. A bbq and picnic area are located in a shady area under a fig tree. Chairs for viewing the sunrise and garden beds you are welcome to pick from.

The Nopal Art Studio is located in a converted barn and features a pullout queen size bed and a sofa, with plenty of floor space for additional camping mats or air mattresses. There is a dumb TV with DVD player, an assortment of DVDs, and WiFi access. We ask that you refrain from high streaming activities and video calls during your stay, especially if there are other guests, as all the cabins, camping sites and the Studio share one Wifi access point. The kitchen features a full size electric stove, plenty of dishes, refrigerator and a small selection of spices and staple foods, plus coffee and tea. Bathroom has a clawfoot tub and hand held shower. No standup showering please, it is hard on the walls and floor. You will find many of our art projects as well as musical instruments accenting the space. The lizard mosaic and cactus mural as well as our quilt sound baffles will inspire you to create during your stay. Art supplies and musical instruments available, just ask! There is also a picnic area under a large fig tree, with a gas bbq available next to the studio. We ask that guests do not enter the pastures with the sheep, cows or chickens, no matter how fun it looks to chase the sheep, trust me, they do not enjoy it. If you wish to take a walk in the olive orchard, please take a look at the map first (included in your welcome packet) and stay on the marked road, as we have rattlesnakes.

Rachel's place was just right. The property is gorgeous and there is a good balance of privacy and also feeling you are part of the farm. She also did a great job of including little touches that make a guest feel well taken care of. I would gladly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway tucked into a working farm where you can see and hear cows, ducks, chickens and more!

Tent Camping

This is a beautiful spot for camping. There is one tent site near the 2 cabins but with plenty of privacy and with nice views of the valley. The amenities are superb with access to a shared kitchen, flush toilet and shower, it makes camping easy. It's also fun to visit the farm animals and have some fruit if it's in season!

Just Like Heaven

I had a fantastic and comfy time at Rachels land. You are on a working farm down a quiet, pastoral road. The farm is hugged by old oaks and grazing fields with colorful singing birds. Their land is dotted with a bounty of fruit trees and sheep, chickens, cows and ducks. It's really like heaven! The accommodations themselves are clean and cozy and very cute. The cabin itself fits a queen and twin bed, and the room has AC and homey, sweet details and art. Immediately outside the cabin are a few seating areas for eating or conversation/ contemplation, as well as cute ornamental garden beds. A few steps away, the kitchen was well stocked, including fresh eggs! and kind of rustic chic vibe with reclaimed farmhouse details. Care and artistry definitely went into designing the bathroom too, and it really felt like home. The space was comfy, easy to access ( not many steps between all the spots I'm talking about and from the parking itself) and it was so memorable. It's just down the road from full belly farm and about 45 minutes from wilbur hot springs. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the night, and wake up to the birdsong!
