This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 20 years. The neighbor camp bought the lease but haven’t had the funds to revive it yet. DIRECTIONS: Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210 Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right sided. There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it. Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork. Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left. Learn more about this land: The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can take out the provided sit on top kayak or bring your fishing gear. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood included) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else. No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

Learn more about this site: This campsite is extremely private and serene with beautiful epic views and a wide open feel. The site is located most of the way up a small mountain but at the base of a larger one if you want to hike up to the top for even better views. You can also hike down and around to explore more of the surrounding nature preserve (over 3,000 acres completely engulfing our 20 acre property), which includes a seasonal creek, granite boulders, and miles of hiking trails. You will find wild sage and buckwheat shrubs growing all over the property, as well as vibrant seasonal wildflowers. The campsite is set far back from roads so it is very peaceful and quiet and allows you to feel free to enjoy yourselves without worrying much about noise. The large flat pad is spacious and should be able to accommodate any sized camper/trailer/RV. There is fresh potable mountain spring water and a septic hookup available at the site. There is currently no water hookup for RV’s and there is no restroom facility (we are planning to install a composting or pit toilet soon). Please come fully equipped with a Luggable Loo or something similar. Access to the site is on a maintained dirt road with cutouts for water run off. 4WD is not necessary. Please be prepared though, the road in has some narrow, hilly, curvy stretches. It could appear challenging or intimidating to people with larger rigs. If you have a class A motorhome and are hoping to visit, please message me first and let me know and we can discuss whether the road in will work for you. We are currently in the process of beautifying the area and will post more updated photos soon of the actual site. *Note: Our solar pump went out so the outdoor shower is not currently functional. You can explore nature at its best with our natural habitat full of quails, white tail rabbits, and natural vegetation. We love animals as well and have horses, ducks, and chickens roaming onsite. We have many nearby points of interest including the Palomar Mountains where you can get outside to take a hike or explore. We are driving distance from Julian, CA where you can check out their famous pies! We are also close to Borrego Trails where you can run and recreate and we’re only 2 miles from Emerald Creek Winery where you can kick back afterwards. Lastly, we are only 18 miles from downtown Temecula and all food and activities they have to offer. Even though we are near to activities you can find great things to do on our property as well. You can explore our 20 acres and hike through the olive groves all afternoon. You can also feed the chickens, ducks, and horses or head out the gate where you can find miles of dirt roads to roam. You can expect some natural noises during your stay. At a distance sometimes you’ll hear coyotes, owls, and the wake-up call from the rooster. Occasionally you will hear a donkey call in the distance. Your hosts live on site and usually plan to meet and greet as needed. Once you are settled you will have plenty of privacy, but we are on-site in our private home and could be reached if needed! This listing is for our spectacular yurt tent set and an RV site called the stables up on 20 acres in a secure and safe olive grove with plenty of privacy. You can expect spectacular views of the valley below, the Palomar mountains and relaxing sunsets under a beautiful blanket of stars. Our main house is about 600 feet from the site, but you will enjoy your own outside shower, compost restroom, picnic table, propane BBQ, large cooler, and fire pit! The tent accommodates up to 4 people and an additional person could bring their tent and set up on the site as well. The Gold Line Metro is also located at the bottom of the hill and offers an easy and convenient way to get across town and avoid those congested LA freeways!

You can hike and have a picnic anywhere on our 41 acres of rock gardens and oaks in the hills of Fallbrook. Our resident pack goats Segovia and Lassen will bring your gear!!! There are caves in the rocks and when the spring is flowing there is an underground waterfall! In the evenings you'll be transported to what sounds like a rainforest as the peacocks and toucans of our neighbor Emerald Forest Bird Gardens start singing.Santa Margarita Preserve is just a few miles away. You can go for a hike and dip your feet in the water.Bring your bikes-Road or Gravel. There are greats roads in the area and miles of easements for gravel bikes. Desert Dreamland

Our family has owned this property for nearly fifty years. We currently have one site available - “Desert Mountain Scenic Overlook” - at this time. More sites coming soon! Learn more about this site: This campsite is extremely private and serene with beautiful epic views and a wide open feel. The site is located most of the way up a small mountain but at the base of a larger one if you want to hike up to the top for even better views. You can also hike down and around to explore more of the surrounding nature preserve (over 3,000 acres completely engulfing our 20 acre property), which includes a seasonal creek, granite boulders, and miles of hiking trails. You will find wild sage and buckwheat shrubs growing all over the property, as well as vibrant seasonal wildflowers. The campsite is set far back from roads so it is very peaceful and quiet and allows you to feel free to enjoy yourselves without worrying much about noise. The large flat pad is spacious and should be able to accommodate any sized camper/trailer/RV. There is fresh potable mountain spring water and a septic hookup available at the site. There is currently no water hookup for RV’s and there is no restroom facility (we are planning to install a composting or pit toilet soon). Please come fully equipped with a Luggable Loo or something similar. Access to the site is on a maintained dirt road with cutouts for water run off. 4WD is not necessary. Please be prepared though, the road in has some narrow, hilly, curvy stretches. It could appear challenging or intimidating to people with larger rigs. If you have a class A motorhome and are hoping to visit, please message me first and let me know and we can discuss whether the road in will work for you. We are currently in the process of beautifying the area and will post more updated photos soon of the actual site. *Note: Our solar pump went out so the outdoor shower is not currently functional. Also, the site is still a work in progress so there may be some lumber and areas of the site still in the process of being completed.
