Our cabin 'number 63' was built in 1928 and all the cabins here in the cabin were sold as hunting cabins or used for vacationing. Live Oak Canyon Road, and Silverado Canyon Road are some of the nicest driving areas in Southern California. This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.

Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your group will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.
Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

This 1968 Shasta Camper, located in a small garden within an urban neighborhood, sleeps up to four people, with additional space to set up tents if desired. It has a few amenities—some more rustic than others—including AC, refrigerator and freezer, stovetop (oven does not work), sinks, shower, internet, and coffee maker.
Located just ten minutes from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Pedro, it’s a great launch point for cruise-goers. With swimming beaches only twenty minutes away, it’s an ideal option for a low-cost vacation.
Help yourself to the freshest fruits, vegetables, and legumes from the garden, and watch the bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers happily pollinate, creating opportunities for new growth.
The property is securely locked, and the entrance is video-monitored for your safety (and ours).
It’s important to note that the camper (not a glamper) is vintage, and the convenience of the urban neighborhood can sometimes come with a variety of neighborhood sounds—though it can also be extremely quiet at times.
Due to the desert climate, ants may accompany the pollinators and enter the camper if food or beverages are left out. The garden is shared with our home, so some privacy may be compromised when we tend to it.
Street parking only. Pay attention to posted restriction signs and do not park in business or residential lots. The driveway can be made available at a cost of $10 per night (keep in mind the driveway is located at the front of the property and is a short walk away from the entrance to the camper).
Yard is fenced-in completely but if your pet is an escape artist there are some very small openings to be aware of when letting them off-leash.

The White Lodge is a private home owned by the creator of Hicksville Trailer Palace and Hicksville Pines Bud and Breakfast. Although Morgan(the owner) has retired, he's made his property to feel as if you're in the middle of the woods complete with swimming hole, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, sauna and more!
Our trailer and cave shower entrance are on the smaller size and may not be comfortable for larger bodied individuals.
We are closed May-August because the trailer has no A/C and we're too busy with our Swimply pool business. You can book it only as an add-on for pool guests during that time. More pool info on our website whitelodgepool.com

This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.

Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your group will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.
Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

This 1968 Shasta Camper, located in a small garden within an urban neighborhood, sleeps up to four people, with additional space to set up tents if desired. It has a few amenities—some more rustic than others—including AC, refrigerator and freezer, stovetop (oven does not work), sinks, shower, internet, and coffee maker.
Located just ten minutes from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Pedro, it’s a great launch point for cruise-goers. With swimming beaches only twenty minutes away, it’s an ideal option for a low-cost vacation.
Help yourself to the freshest fruits, vegetables, and legumes from the garden, and watch the bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers happily pollinate, creating opportunities for new growth.
The property is securely locked, and the entrance is video-monitored for your safety (and ours).
It’s important to note that the camper (not a glamper) is vintage, and the convenience of the urban neighborhood can sometimes come with a variety of neighborhood sounds—though it can also be extremely quiet at times.
Due to the desert climate, ants may accompany the pollinators and enter the camper if food or beverages are left out. The garden is shared with our home, so some privacy may be compromised when we tend to it.
Street parking only. Pay attention to posted restriction signs and do not park in business or residential lots. The driveway can be made available at a cost of $10 per night (keep in mind the driveway is located at the front of the property and is a short walk away from the entrance to the camper).

This is seriously such an incredible place and experience! Joshua’s land is beautiful, well maintained and the tent itself so comfortable. The view is UNBEATABLE, with amazing dark sky visibility as well. it was easy to find and get to, but still felt super private. It also had everything we needed to prepare and eat a couple meals comfortably. The property is shared with Joshua’s father Ghost who is so nice and who graciously showed us around before leaving us to our privacy. The clean private toilet was also a huge plus. we seriously cannot wait to come back—the perfect getaway from SD or anyone looking for a unique and comfortable camping experience!

Walking through the gate of this staycation destination is like walking through a hidden portal to another time and place! Traveling from a city street into a national park in a matter of steps. Every bit of this property and abode was truly captivating, with a cohesive theme and lots of fun details. The hot tub had a fantastic view of stars and civilization with, at the right time, sunset splendor. Morgan was friendly and thoroughly helpful, even introducing us to the cat who hung out with us throughout the evening and into the morning. Can’t wait to come back during the summer!

I booked the canned ham for a surprise vacation for me and my partner!! I couldn’t have been happier! The cozy retro vibes of the canned ham were absolutely perfect and everything was extremely clean and well maintained in the trailer and on the property.
The hot tub was literally right outside the front door, with a with a great view and it seemed like it was practically new!! It was already heated by the time I arrived and was super clean. I know it’s funny to say, but the water/chemical balance was incredible. I can tell that it was treated, but it did not have an overly chlorinated or chemical smell.
Morgan was incredibly nice and accommodating. Even prior to booking, we communicated a few times and he answered quite quickly.
The rest of the property was also incredibly cozy and the biggest perk was the adorable on site kitties roaming around!
Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Absolutely! Easy camp set up with actual toilets and shower onsite. Definitely will be back for a quick escape from the city. Only thing to be concerned with is that those roosters be rooster-ing through out the night.

The space was cute, warm, welcoming, and incredibly cozy — the perfect little Valentine’s Day getaway. It felt peaceful and intimate, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and spend quality time together.

What a beautiful place! Felt like I was in the middle of nowhere all by myself ❤️ this was a solo trip, just myself and my dogs. I felt safe yet felt like the world was all mine! The property is gigantic and you’re able to hike from almost any point. Lots and lots of trails and lots and lots to explore! Grateful for the bathroom. The is no running water, except in the van sink. It was nice having a little kitchen! It was nice, not having to lug all my cooking supplies up! there was a hammock, fire pit, freshwater, and a cooler full of ice, waiting for me when I arrived. The bed in the van is comfortable. I am 5’6 and I barely fit laying flat. If you’re taller than me, expect to sleep diagonally or curled up. It gets really cold up there! And the van gets really cold! Make sure you bring lots of warm covers and pajamas! And even a little heater if you have one. A safe propane one because there’s no power for you to plug-in to. Also, there’s no signal out there. Yet you can catch a satellite signal with proper equipment.
Bring all your supplies up with you! There’s no stores around! Space is clean! Beautiful wild yet managed with lots of dilapidated buildings to check out. And so many beautiful views! There’s also a lake! Kayaks, you can take onto the lake as well. I was too cold to attempt getting in the water, but I bet it would be a good time!
The host was great! The drive was so beautiful and easy! I will definitely definitely definitely definitely come here again.

Loved our weekend staycation here! Abby was so communicative and helpful leading up to the trip and get around the area (due to dirt roads, etc). The home was the perfect size for us (two humans and a pup) and was so cozy.

This place is such a gem! It's so peaceful and welcoming. The place is so cute, and has everything you need to glamp. The bed is so comfy and the heater had me cozy, and bathtub is stellar! Also the rains had the creek running, and the grass was so green on the hillsides along the trails. A little slice of heaven. Thank you!

I loved it here! Morgan was so accommodating. The cabin had everything needed (and more). I decided to stay another night while I was there because of how great the area is. I was able to go to Big Bear to hike and eat for an afternoon, and Lake Arrowhead the next day had I chosen to.
Working a stressful job in LA and having this big cabin that has a great fireplace, wood, heaters (and AC) and the bed and comforter were a dream (I even have a sleepnumber at home and I was not dying to get back to it).
This was the best solo trip with my furry creature and so needed!
Will be back!
