We are between Sequoia National Park (about an hour) and the Giant Sequoia National Monument (16 miles to groves up Hwy 190 and no entrance fee). Choose from individual tent sites, group tent sites, tiny cabins. the 5-acre Compound or the Entire Ranch. We occasionally host small, thoughtful, low impact weddings. Please inquire. There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Great place to stay along the Kern River. Clean bathrooms and very comfortable beds. I especially appreciated the heavy duty wagons to cart gear to the tent from the parking area. Loved not having cars in the campsites since we were camping with our kids. There is also a well maintained path to access the river side.

Cool spot and would come again. I've visited at end of the season and found it to be peaceful. It's across the street from the Corral Creek Resort and best to use for your GPS directions.

Mark was a very responsive and kind host and also has a very beautiful property. My bestie and I booked a glamping experience and we both had a great time. Neighboring guests who were in tents were also respectful during the quiet hours. So we both were very well rested coming from our trip in Sequioa National Park. Animals on the property were kind too and didn’t bother us. The glamping site was also very clean and cozy. I’d definitely do it again. Sad to have only done it overnight. Still a very affordable option and a convenience if traveling to and from both Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks.

We loved the glamping tent. Even though it was very hot, we were happily surprised to have a cooling fan in the tent. We also really appreciated the access to power to charge our phones. Mark was very helpful throughout our stay and we loved seeing all the animals.

We had such a delightful stay at Marks place! The amenities and farm were beautiful and our daughter had a great time saying good morning to the sheep, getting to know the cats, and even picking a few oranges! The tent was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a power cube to charge our phones. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful - it was magical staying under the olive trees!

A great little cabin experience. Everything was well organized and clean. Gary was super helpful. I loved that there were camp chairs down at the creek! I was glamping so I brought my own comforter and table cloth to cozy things up. A delightful stay! (Would be a great place for groups with campsites and cabins plus a large fire ring with seating and kitchen prep area with large refrigerator to store food.)

We love the communal vibe with our two other tents and because we were there on a light weekend we had the five tent section all to ourselves! The host were great and easy to talk to and allow us our privacy! We are right above the stairs down to the river, which made it really nice for everyone in the group. Bathrooms are very clean and spacious and the showers were always hot! All of my guests couldn’t stop raving about how nice they were! Everything was stocked with quality supplies and there was easy access to water and dish, sinks and hot coffee and tea all day long! It’s nice to be right outside the city and perfect for stargazing! We can’t wait to go back!
