Perched at the top of a gravel driveway, the Kern River Nest has close proximity by car to downtown Kernville and the river; is walking distance to hiking trails; and boasts beautiful mountain views from the property. The property has 3 units that can be rented separately or all together for one large group. Unit 1: The "Mountain Perch" includes 3 bedrooms on 2 stories with 4 total Queen sized beds, 2 bathrooms, front and back decks, and open kitchan/living room. Unit 2: The "Chateau" is a studio unit with 2 Queen sized beds and small kitchen set up. Unit 3: The "Casita" is a studio unit with 1 Queen sized bed and a kitchenette. All units come with access to a serene garden with a hot tub, clawfoot bathtub and outdoor shower.

Come enjoy mountain views and nature at this cozy Kern River Casita, nestled on a hill, at the base of the Sequoia National Forest, & a short drive to the town & the river. The property has 2 units available. The "Casita" is a separate studio. Enjoy a cup of coffee on your patio lounge chairs, a glass of wine overlooking the sunset at the end of a day at the river, or soak in our outdoor hot tub and bath garden! Host or other guests may be staying in other units during your stay. The space The property has 2 units available. This Casita unit is detached from the main property with a private entrance, with a queen-sized bed + full-size futon. It's a spacious studio with a kitchenette, bathroom, and outside patio. The outdoor shared space has a hot tub, patio table, hammocks, and a BBQ for grilling. You may be sharing this area with other guests renting the second unit of the property or the owners upstairs. Or rent both units (separate listings) and enjoy time with family and friends. The units sit on 1.7 acres of private land, with amazing views, privacy, and an opportunity for comfort while still having access to the outdoors. And if you're lucky, you'll even see deer and other wildlife at your window. Guest access Guests can go around with a car or bike. Other things to note Our property sits at the top of a steep gravel driveway. Please be aware when you first arrive and every time you come and go. The ride up and down is bumpy but safe. We recommend that you drive at about 5mph and no faster than 10 mph. Do not stop mid-way. If you stop you will likely get stuck in loose gravel. If stuck, you'll need to back up and try again. Once up the driveway, there are designated parking spaces to your right.

This downstairs unit is attached to the main property with a private entrance, with 2 queen size beds + couch that turns into full size futon. It's a spacious studio with a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, and patio area. The outdoor shared space has a hot tub, patio table, hammocks and a BBQ for grilling. You may be sharing this area with other guests renting the second unit of the property and the owners upstairs. Or rent both units (separate listings) and enjoy time with family and friends. Guest access The house is located at the top of a steep gravel driveway. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but regular vehicles will be fine, as long as you follow the directions for access. You can park in one of the designated spaces once up the driveway. You'll be able to enter the unit with a code we provide you for the lock box. You can get around the neighborhood with your car, Uber + Lyft is limited. There is a Kernville town shuttle.
