Cold Creek is a unique 112-acre property in the San Bernardino National Forest. Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. Our temperatures rarely exceed 90F and rarely drop below 40F. We have plenty sun and about two to three days of snow every winter. A year-around creek keeps everything green and fresh around the year. We are the second owners since 1913, and operate a small organic orchard on the property. It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Our farm story began in 2018, when on a whim and a prayer we purchased a rundown home and land. After years of acquiring many blisters, animals, plants and weird suntans, we eventually created the home and farm of our dreams. Our emphasis in the beginning of this journey was to create a space in which our children (along with ourselves) learned the value of producing our own food, fiber, meat and eggs. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children.
So…..here we are, sharing our hard work and ambition with you. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher.
One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home.

This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.
DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

OUR STORY
Our farm story began in 2018, when on a whim and a prayer we purchased a rundown home and land. After years of acquiring many blisters, animals, plants and weird suntans, we eventually created the home and farm of our dreams. Our emphasis in the beginning of this journey was to create a space in which our children (along with ourselves) learned the value of producing our own food, fiber, meat and eggs. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children.
So…..here we are, sharing our hard work and ambition with you. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher.
One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home.

This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.
DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

This campsite was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind. The site felt very private, which made the whole experience even more relaxing and special.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights for our family was the animals—such a fun and unique touch! The kids absolutely loved interacting with them and didn’t want to leave.
Overall, it was a perfect getaway for both adults and kids. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our stay at this cabin in Green Valley Lake was everything we needed and more. It was the perfect escape from the city.
The cabin itself was incredibly spacious and well maintained. With three floors and four outdoor decks, there was no shortage of places to unwind and take in the peaceful forest views.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Canned Ham! The property is beautifully decorated giving a whimsical Yosemite feel. The camper is small but extremely cozy and intimate. The jacuzzi is awesome and the sauna is a must! Will definitely come back!

We loved tent camping in Ed’s land! It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the lake, have a cook out, and relax. Especially good for beginner campers who are still figuring out what they need since it’s so conveniently located by a nearby shopping center.

Weekend Trip to The White Lodge
Walking through the gate of this staycation destination is like walking through a hidden portal to another time and place! Traveling from a city street into a national park in a matter of steps. Every bit of this property and abode was truly captivating, with a cohesive theme and lots of fun details. The hot tub had a fantastic view of stars and civilization with, at the right time, sunset splendor. Morgan was friendly and thoroughly helpful, even introducing us to the cat who hung out with us throughout the evening and into the morning. Can’t wait to come back during the summer!

1 night at The White Lodge
I booked the canned ham for a surprise vacation for me and my partner!! I couldn’t have been happier! The cozy retro vibes of the canned ham were absolutely perfect and everything was extremely clean and well maintained in the trailer and on the property.
The hot tub was literally right outside the front door, with a with a great view and it seemed like it was practically new!! It was already heated by the time I arrived and was super clean. I know it’s funny to say, but the water/chemical balance was incredible. I can tell that it was treated, but it did not have an overly chlorinated or chemical smell.
Morgan was incredibly nice and accommodating. Even prior to booking, we communicated a few times and he answered quite quickly.
The rest of the property was also incredibly cozy and the biggest perk was the adorable on site kitties roaming around!
Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Great Lakeside camping spot! Was very private during the off season and the daily bird, duck and swan action on the lake made the trip feel anchored in nature. Easy and communicative host. Level lot and add ons like fire pit picnic tables solar lights and dock made it a great place to hang!

My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

Awesome location and setting. Sitting at 3000 ft, you can enjoy the cool breeze without dealing with altitude issues, occasional snow. I would have love to stop by when fresh apples and figs were being sold. Close enough to civilization not needing high clearance vehicle but nestled in such a way that you feel you are far away from the rat race. Ill be back!

This is such a beautiful spot. For my boyfriend and I's first camping trip with our dog this was absolutely perfect! The views were incredible, and we were so close to so many possible activities in the area. We came to hike and were delighted to know you could start a hike directly from your campsite! We also got to see the farm animals which was such a treat. Shane is the most accommodating, he made sure to explain everything we needed, was always one message away, and hand delivered our eggs/fruit that we purchased off the farm right when we bought them! I definitely hope we can make it back to the farm one day, and we recommend anyone who has this spot as an option to make the booking!
