Weekend Trip to Hidden Lake

We camped here as a group of 5 and 2 dogs. The weather didn't turn out in our favor so unfortunately we didn't get to swim in the lake like we had hoped. It was one of the first questions I asked and Dante said his kids swim in there all the time so if that's what you're looking for this would be the perfect place! You are right on the waters edge and even have kayaks and canoes and a rope swing to enjoy. Plenty of fish. My husband didn't have the right type of bait unfortunately but still caught a couple! My dog had a great swim that morning. The sound of the frogs in the evening was so relaxing, although we didn't have a lot of sun the whole area you are camping has plenty of trees overhead for shade! Dante had excellent communication and met us at the top. Those of us with AT&T had perfect reception! I want to make another trip out here when it warms up and take advantage of the lake. Couldn't ask for a better time and the drive out there is beautiful!

10/10 !!! Affordable, convenient location, dog friendly and you do not need to bring a lot from home. Kitchen essentials onsite. The temperature gets cold at night we suggest thermals and for the daytime sunscreen. We brought our binoculars and telescope for stargazing. You will hear coyotes, donkeys and a rooster in the distance. Next we will explore the trails nearby. The dogs loved it. The biggest highlight for us was how well kept the RV is and the comfortable murphy bed/couch. So nice we immediately booked again and with more days!

We had a fantastic time this weekend at JoLynn's place. It's a beautiful piece of land with great views and plenty of space to explore in the chaparral. The cabin was great and the heater was enough to keep it comfortable at night. I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful stay in the mountains.

Very nice accommodation. Great space for bedding in the trailer, and the mattress was very comfy! The area is a beautiful town, very peaceful. There is Wi-Fi and a tv inside with plenty of entertainment. Well stocked kitchen. I would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Lake

Where to begin!!! What an incredible time and stay at Hidden Lake. The 6 of us, three adults three kiddos and a big dog spent two lovely nights here and never wanted to leave! We caught (and released back) about 25 fish over the three days, and had many hours spent on the kayak and having a campfire.

This place is truly a fisherman’s dream come true! Imagine having your very own private spot on a serene, secluded lake – it doesn’t get much better than that! The tree-lined campsite offers just the right amount of shade, so you can relax in comfort without feeling overheated. Our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. He greeted us upon arrival, personally showed us to our campsite, and made sure we were settled in comfortably. For those looking to get a little more adventurous, kayaks are available for exploring the peaceful waters or simply soaking up the sun. Finding the campsite was a breeze, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to escape into nature and enjoy some peace and quiet.

2 nights at Manzanita Ridge

John is great. Extremely prompt with communication and very flexible host. The views off the property are spectacular. Take caution: GPS won't take you to the correct place, and it was lucky I had 4-wheel drive because right past the property is an extremely steep and long descent and the roads are dirt (slick mud in our case, because it was pouring rain). We made it back up but others might not. The RV itself is much more spacious than I expected, with good facilities and fixtures. Lots of clean and comfy bedding and pillows. The freezer and refrigerator were cold and spacious, but had not been cleaned in quite a while. Drawer interiors were also pretty dirty; kitchen utensils like measuring cups and such needed to be cleaned before use. Shower was surprisingly good, but I'm 6'4" so I had to crouch. Bed was very comfortable. Internet was solid. Heater wasn't working but John had a space heater inside for us to use and it did the job just fine. Ultimately, I'd definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

My bf and I had a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back. They had everything you need; a well stocked kitchen, plenty of blankets, working AC, a space heater for when the night got chilly. The camper heats and cools quick! The bed was comfortable, if you like more firm pillows or are specific about your pillows maybe bring your own. My bf is picky about his pillows but I was fine! It felt very secluded and was quiet and peaceful, we loved sitting on the deck and drinking our coffee in the morning!

This was a great find, good location with a nice view. We really enjoyed the RV which was nice and clean and had everything provided. It was great to have a campfire and enjoy looking at the stars. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

Both me and friend really enjoy our stay at Manzanita Ridge. John provide us with all the basic needs and help us as soon as we asked for help. Everything went well. I really enjoy such tiny but cozy spaces. And the bed was way more comfortable than I expected. They also have running water. And outdoor environment is just perfect for a little get away. Even it was weekend and surround by other houses, but it was so quiet, i get to enjoy the birds and animals around there. It was such great experience, i will definitely book again.

My family and I had such a great time! we went for 1 night but wished we stayed longer. We 100% will be coming back! Even though we saw other houses in the area we truly felt like we are by ourselves and didn’t hear a single voice. Looking forward to next time !

Located in the high desert of San Diego county, between 3500 feet and 3800 ft. this beautiful 40 acres features caves, massive boulders to climb, views, flat land and privacy. At night the stars are magnificent and the milky way is visible...there are meteor showers several times a year. Permanent residents in the barn are the 2 mini horses to visit and four wonderful dogs. The nights are always cool and usually below 60% so be prepared to sleep well . There are visiting animals that past thru and could include, coyotes, bobcats, Coatis, foxes, rabbits, quail, hawks and mountain lions. There are also some snake and lizards. We do have rattlesnakes. To make up for the rattlers we offer two flush toilets! Camp on the healthy, beautiful and first Certified Organic White Sage Farm in the World. The place to heal from pandemics. Beautiful high desert,(3500') with boulders, boulder mountains, caves and views. Rolling southern California terrain, home to all kinds of birds and wild life. Camp on top of the mountain, or camp in a cave or anywhere in between. See the Milky way on most nights, all have incredible stars. 40 acres. Visit our the little town of Jacumba Hot springs down the road. Exciting things are happening there. The Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel, really good food, organic produce, and of course the Water! Weekend music events at the Hotel or the The Old Bathhouse where you listen under the most incredible stars. Bazaar at the Bathouse the first Saturday of the month. This is the prettiest property in east county! And the healthiest! It is a White Sage farm. This is the old west! Come in the spring for the wild flowers on the land. Come for the dark skies. Come for the very occasional snow. Most definitely come for all the Meteor showers.. You can see the Milky way on most nights
