For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. Today, Namaste Farms is recognized around the globe for raising high quality wool producing sheep. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

We tent camped at the T-Rex creek site in Split Rock and loved it! Such a cool place, I’m super grateful they are willing to share their land this way. Loved hearing/seeing the goats all over the place as well as the many other animals. The views are incredible all over the property. Favorite place to camp in SoCal yet!
It was nice that there were showers and toilets on the property. Also got fire wood from the camp store each day. No fault of the owners but campers just prepare for the nature as we had lots of ants at our site.

We camped a couple days with our trailer at the Redtail Rock site and it was great! Lots of room
to pull in, site was really clean with water/firepit/table. We loved walking the property and meeting up with the goats, alpaca, and dogs. We didn’t interact with anyone from the property but didn’t really need anything, it’s all pretty easy to figure out. Walk up to the observation deck at sunset for a spectacular view! We will be back!

Fantastic property that they turned into a few campsites. Comfortable seating, beautiful sprawling Mountain View’s, amazing hosts. Would definitely recommend. They are living the dream out here in wine country. It was so nice to sit under the stars and feel at peace with the mountains at night and not scared of being in the middle of nowhere lol. The host was so nice and personable, working on their land all morning to just make it’s even more beautiful. Can’t wait to come back. Absolutely loved our time here.

This is a great spot tucked away up in the hills. There is a lot of room to spread out the camp sites and set up different activities. It had everything we needed for a group camping trip. You can’t beat the views from the deck overlooking the lake/city. Caleb is an awesome and friendly host, very accommodating for our trip. Make sure to maintain a little speed going up the dirt hill.

This is a cute, private camping spot in front of a persons house. There is a barn area with a bathroom, including running water, sink, and toilet. Clean spot to pitch a tent under a tree. Not within walking distance of many vineyards, but cheap Uber rides. Lots of animals can be heard…crops, roosters, dogs. The hosts were super nice upon arrival and left us to be. Very cute set up.

We car camped at site 3 of Oak Grove. The parking space was secluded by bushes, and we didnt need to use the rest of the site, so it was really nice. We could see the city lights from the site, which were very beautiful at night 😁. The bathrooms were clean and private. The roads were windy coming up to the property, but manageable with care. It was fun seeing the friendly and pettable goat herd roam the place and hearing them talk to each other. They visited our site one morning too 🐐! The view from the observation deck on the property was beautiful, and we could see the ocean from there! We explored the property, popped in the river at the nearby nature preserve, and toured the town (with froyo🍨) as fun activies. It can also be a totally no-contact stay as there are signs for guidance. Great stay, and we plan to come again!

The tabernacle was really nice and secluded like mentioned in the description but for my wife, toddler and I, it was a little too secluded for us. Great for a group or a couple that are looking for a really quiet camp site. We got a lay of the land and already booked another trip in the community campgrounds.

Great farm stay with an excellent host! We loved the tour of the farm animals and spent most of our time on the cabana patio, which provided excellent shelter from the wind. The bathroom plumbing was a little finicky but worked fine for us. Tip: Bring some extra lighting for the patio area just in case. We had a great time!

Out of all the spots this one has thr best view for sure. It was a little hard to see the road to turn to but we figured out. The play area was cute my daughter is a bit too tall for a lot of it but she still had fun. Definitely recommended bring a potty as it is a bit of a walk from the site to the port a potties. It was nice to get away from the loud city noise and be under the stars

The land was super cool; it was not what you would expect from a traditional campground, but the area was beautiful. There are goats everywhere, and the drive was very scenic. It took a bit to find our spot, just make sure you use Google Maps over the screenshot of the map. I didn't realize they did activities, or I wouldn't have left so soon.

We just returned from a fantastic stay at Hilltop Hideout within Splitrock Farm and Retreat, and it was exactly the escape our group needed. We had a crew of 8 adults and 3 kids, and the layout worked perfectly for us.
The Highlights:
The Glamping Experience: We opted for the pre-arranged tent and bedding setup. It was worth every penny! Everything was clean, cozy, and ready for us the moment we arrived—it really took the stress out of "roughing it" with a large group.
Privacy & Space: The Hilltop Hideout is ideal for larger groups (it could easily fit up to 14). It’s wonderfully secluded, meaning we didn't have to worry about foot traffic or neighbors. Having the entire area to ourselves made for a very relaxing, intimate atmosphere.
Farm Friends: The roaming goats were a massive hit. The kids love petting them; it’s a great touch that makes this spot feel like a true farm retreat.
The Amenities: Overall, the bathroom facilities are great and well-maintained.
One quick tip: While the bathrooms are nice, we couldn't get the hot water in the shower to work during our stay. If you’re visiting in cooler weather, you might want to double-check the heater settings with the host!
Despite the cold shower, we had an incredible time. The views, the peace, and the goats made it a trip to remember. We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable - like camping off grid without the worry of anything happening - only heard a couple coyotes in the distance !
Bring water, Food, and cooking essentials- there is 1 bathroom 1/4 mile from rock bottom
I’m self contained so no worries !

We had an amazing time tent camping at the Horizons site. The views were amazing, beautiful sunrise and star gazing at night . We were traveling with teens (16 and 14 yr old) thankfully we had spotty cell service which gave them time to explore the trails and climb the big rocks. The directions to our site were clear . The bathrooms were clean and it was only a short 5min walk from our site. We will definitely be back .

Pretty straightforward. Instructions on how to get there in campsite. Rules were easy to access and follow. Upon arrival, we appreciated how organize split rock was, making the navigation to the campsite easy. These were beautiful, and our campsite gave us a lot of privacy would go again!
