We have two young children and two Lab mix dogs. You may see us walking along the driveway. Please drive slowly. We share this space with our neighbors, children, and pets. We also ask that campers be mindful of noise in the evenings and respect our rule of all amplified music being off between the hours of 10pm-8am. The water on our property comes from our well. Please be respectful of the drought conditions in our area and conserve water in any way possible. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. 2 nights at Meadow Farm & Forest

The Cozy Cabin is tiny and adorable - one of those rare properties that is actually exactly as described in its listing. We brought our dog and had a lovely stay. The bed is very comfortable, the cabin is well insulated, well spaced from other dwellings and campsites, the land around it is beautiful, and there are lots of stars to see on a clear night. Only noteworthy flaw was upon arrival: it was pretty tough to find our way in the dark. Arrive in the daylight if possible until they add clearer night-reflective signage and/or a detailed campsite map!

Weekend Trip to Comptche Matrix @ Sunny-land

I just got back from a lovely weekend at Sunny’s cabin with my two kids, and it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is tucked into the redwoods, quiet and peaceful, and it really felt like a little forest adventure for the kids. Our favorite part was sitting by the fire at night, talking and relaxing together. Sunny was a wonderful host. She was warm, responsive, and helpful whenever I had a question, but also gave us plenty of privacy. Her two friendly dogs were a huge hit with the kids and made the place feel even more welcoming. I left feeling rested, my kids had a great time, and I would happily come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, nature-filled getaway.

Beautiful place. The room was nice. The bed was comfy. The bathrooms were well maintained. The place had an awesome view of the night sky. Defiantly will be planning a future stay there. Mendocino is like 10 minutes away and fort brag is about 20. There’s not even a real need to bring food so long as u wanna go buy food everyday.

Weekend Trip to Baby Banana Slug Farm

This was my second visit, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. My friends and I stayed in the Sunshine and Mushroom cabins and loved how comfortable and well-set-up everything was. Nathan’s daughter helped us get the wood stove going, which made breakfast in the kitchen extra cozy. We’re already talking about coming back next year. Thank you to Nathan and his family for another great stay.

Weekend Trip to Baby Banana Slug Farm

This was my second stay at Baby Banana Slug Farm, and it was just as great as the first. My friends and I stayed in the Sunshine and Mushroom cabins and appreciated how cozy and convenient everything was. Nathan’s daughter kindly helped us get the wood stove going, and we used it to warm the kitchen and make a great breakfast. Next time, we’ll definitely check out his shop. Weekend Trip to Root's End

Great little spot to stay and a really communicative and helpful host! Other reviews have mentioned that the house felt damp - hate to break it to you but thats just kinda what its like in that part of CA in late fall and over the winter. I thought it was really well looked after and nicely equipped, and comfy enough for 3 to sleep in.

Sunny is so sweet and this place is so charming! I had a lovely time staying here while visiting Mendocino, which is about 40 mins away. There were a couple things I was anxious about - windey roads and the steep driveway to get down to Sunny’s land - but all turned out fine and she put me right at ease. The cabin itself is very cute, outdoor kitchen and shower well functioning, and the dogs kept me company when I was by myself at night!

Gorgeous location!! The cabin was perfect, cute, clean, and comfortable. It was a little stormy out but heated blankets on the bed made it a great place to stay cozy while listening to the rain patter onto the roof. Don't miss the outdoor redwood shower!

we had a beautiful evening and great sleep at Sunny’s place! sunset and stars from the deck were stunning, bed was super comfy, and it was such a treat to make breakfast with eggs from the chickens :) the tiny cabin is near to the main house on the property but plenty of visual privacy and super quiet at night and into the morning. Sunny was super kind and helpful!

Such a great place! It's a forest bath! It's peaceful, relaxing, calming, centering...a wonderful experience! Near to so many great beaches coastal walks/ hikes. Would definitely book again!!

I loved camping in Sunny's spot! If you're looking for a secluded spot near the coast, you can admire the stars and hang out with dogs here - they are very polite - equipped with a full kitchen, shower and other amenities, would certainly be back for another great time.

This spot was incredible! Such a cozy and private area on the site with all the amenities needed for a great stay. The communal area was really nice too. Shay and Liz were super communicative and helped with any and all questions that we had. The whole thing is just as great as it looks!

We loved Sunnyland! The directions were clear and driving in was beautiful. We did have some trouble driving up (2wd) to leave but Sunny was super helpful and we made it out! We had a great time hanging out with the boys but still got our privacy. The land is breathtaking and the vibes are WONDERFUL. I can’t say enough great things!

Weekend Trip to Heartwood Mendocino

The owners of Heartwood have created an amazingly beautiful, comfortable and accessible campground. Their love of the land, care, artistry and craftsmanship are evident in every detail. The tent cabins are cozy and a wonderful way to enjoy a camping experience with greater ease and comfort. The surrounding forest is enchanting. Taking an outdoor showers inside of an old redwood trunk was the highlight of our stay… a sublime experience! We plan to return, and are so glad we discovered Heartwood.

My significant other and I truly enjoyed our time at Sunny’s land, Sunny was so sweet and helpful and very responsive to all of my needs. The tiny cabin was so cozy and cute! The bed was very comfy, the views were breathtaking, and our favorite part was our camp fire with the view of the stars.
