Only 10 minutes walking distance to the lake. Parking good four 4 cars. If more than 4 cars are coming, you still can find spaces for the 5th and the 6th car at the farther curve space, but please never obstruct a neighbor's right of way.
Other things to note
For dining, besides other restaurants, Hortencia (before Cliff Hanger) is a famous, great-view Mexican restaurant, which was in the movie "The Next", 15 minutes away, Tudor house food with a fantastic show. "Sky Park" is a recently opened adventure park. Kids will love this place, Snow Valley is the closest ski area. Don't forget to enjoy the beach of Lake Gregory, where you can swim in Lake Gregory in summer. Shopping at Crestline Village (Lake Dr.), many times you can find an antique of great value! Staying one night is not enough.

Snow Bunny Cottage is your mountain basecamp for crisp air, forest trails, and lake days — without giving up the comforts of home. Perched at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and framed by tall pines, this cozy, fully furnished hideaway offers peace, privacy, and plenty of charm.
Just a short stroll brings you to the private shores of Green Valley Lake and the San Bernardino National Forest. In warmer months, cast a fishing line or hit nearby hiking and biking trails. Come winter, the area transforms into a snow-dusted wonderland, with Snow Valley Ski Resort only minutes away. Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead are also close for even more adventure.
After a day outdoors, unwind on the spacious deck under twinkling string lights. Grill up dinner (BBQ provided) and watch the moon rise through the trees. Please note: campfires are not allowed at the property for safety, but you’ll still find plenty of ways to enjoy the evenings.
Inside, you’ll find high-speed internet for remote work or trip planning, a 55" TV with cable for cozy movie nights, and a welcoming fireplace for chilly evenings (bring your own firewood).
We love pets and happily welcome approved four-legged guests — because adventures are better with your trail buddy by your side.
This cabin is also our personal seasonal home, so it’s cared for with love and attention. We ask that you treat it — and our friendly neighbors — with the same respect. Please review and agree to our house rules before booking so everyone enjoys their time here.

This cabin was one of the coziest experiences I’ve ever had. It felt kind like a constructed warm hug. I slept so well and wish I could have woken up to see the sunrise from the inside of the cabin, but I had to leave very early. I will definitely be back to have that experience!

Weekend Trip to A Unique Mountain Retreat
Amazing stay, very quiet and peaceful. Far enough away from central Tehachapi that the train horns are a nice feature of the landscape and not too jarring. The walking trails are perfect for a little hike -- takes a full 30 minutes at a moderate pace to do a loop!
John is an excellent host as well, and gave me a thorough walkthrough when I arrived. Absolutely recommend.
Do note that a lot of the roads are unpaved tho. There are parts that will require a more robust vehicle

6 nights at The Nook
The Nook was the perfect place to honeymoon for two people who wanted to have peace, nature, and privacy. We arrived during a storm and would not have made it to the property if we hadn’t had four wheel drive, no doubt. It’s just remote enough - we could still drive into town easily but were surrounded by woods and wildlife. It had everything we needed and more, and our stay was perfect.

This cabin really is straight out of a fairy tale! So many thoughtful touches made this cozy little cabin the perfect spot to bring my 9 year old on a short adventure to the mountains. The holiday decor added just the right whimsical touches to keep the magic of the season going while away from home. We will be back!

3 nights at The White Lodge
Such a cute, private spot near the city. The canned ham may be small but it is so cozy and full of character. The bed was very comfy, and we appreciated a kettle being provided. We did need to pick up our own mugs, so keep that in mind if you like a warm beverage in the morning. The cooler is convenient, but we wouldn’t advise expecting it to function as a fridge. The space around the camper is very private feeling with trees around it. The hot tub is such a lovely addition and was fun to use.
The whole property is very dreamy. There was plenty of space for eating outdoors. Although the weather for us didn’t permit using the pool, it was so beautiful to look at. The bathroom is just a short walk away, and has awesome decor. We would advise bringing sandals or slides for walking to and from the bathroom and shower. The shower is a fun experience, although it’s important to note it’s quite small (width wise) to enter into the cave area. It’s not feasible for dressing in there, so you will also need to be comfortable walking back in your towel or a robe.
The road to the home is very steep and narrow. Street parking is limited but we didn’t have an issue finding parking every night, even when we came back later.
There are a couple of cats on the property that visited us and were so cute and friendly. We also got to meet Morgan who was very helpful and kind! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

My two boys and I stayed in the studio cabin. We had to rearrange our travel dates due to the weather. John couldn’t have been more flexible and accommodating in making sure our trip could still happen a few days later.
The site had a beautiful view, a little kitchenette, shower and wood stove that kept us warm. We had great stargazing and the gas burning stove was perfect for chilly nights.
John was the most welcoming host and made us feel very comfortable. We also enjoyed the nature trail on the site! Overall, a lovely place I would recommend if you want to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet.
