My family and I went tent camping on Shane’s land and it was great. The camp sites were far apart enough that it felt secluded, which we loved especially because we didn’t have to share a portal toilet. My daughter enjoyed seeing the animals in their animal sanctuary. Would recommend for small families.

Weekend Trip to Thundering Hawk Retreat

We booked this trip on a last minute whim and the host was very responsive through text. Upon arrival Daniel greeted us and showed us to our campsite. He made sure we had everything we needed and the site was to our liking. He even came back once night fell and made sure we were set. He made sure to tell us about all of the other amenities they have available if needed. (Lamps, propane tanks, fresh sheets, etc.) 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to camp. We can’t wait to come back! (Give Daniel a raise he’s the best 😂)

If you're looking for the perfect escape from the city, I can't recommend Gemini Moon Ranch enough. This place is an absolute hidden gem! Originally built by the architect behind Old Town Temecula, it now thrives under the care of Tracy and Peter, the kindest, most welcoming hosts you’ll ever meet. You can bring your own tent or stay in one of their two incredibly unique, cozy rooms (each full of charm and character). From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping onto the set of an old western movie, complete with starry skies, peaceful mornings, and the sweetest animal crew (2 friendly dogs and 5 cats who might gently demand snacks 🐾). Whether you're into yoga, meditation, or just sitting still with a coffee in nature, this place delivers. It’s ideal for solo getaways, couple retreats, birthdays, or even a small wedding. Honestly, it’s a magical spot that leaves you feeling recharged and totally at peace."

We loved all of the interactions with the animals! My girls (ages 7 and 9) had a great time with the goats, alpaca, dogs, pigs! We added in the animal encounter experience because we weren't sure we were going to see any animal otherwise and it was a great upgrade because we also were able to visit and learn about the chickens!

We had a great night camping at Saddle Up! We were on Site 12 which was well described and perfectly located for a great sunset view. The directions to the site were on point and our family enjoyed meeting the horses and goats! Perfect for an overnight stay. 2 nights at Campo Nopalito

My first time using Hipcamp and a little apprehensive. Could not have chosen a more wonderful location. Starters, Jacob has one heck of a concept. The location is set on an organic farm between the trees and natural flora. The A-frame that I stayed in was simple yet exquisite. The whole one side opens up, so that it creates an awning over the small deck attached to that side. So peaceful and quiet. The A-frame I stayed in had no electricity which added to the experience. privacy YES. The kitchen is a professional stocked kitchen placed outside covered by corrugated galvanized steel. with a sitting area. All you have to bring is the groceries. Also has a wood fired open. Beautifully set up. Bathrooms are designed for an out door experience. A vanity between the porcelain commodes. Vanity is nice Fully stocked. Each commode is private. And behind this is an outdoor shower. Now that's an intoxicating experience. you want to stay showering for hours. Met Jacob and Gertie. Jacob is just a down to earth guy enjoying life with his companion. Gertie is a sweetheart!!! ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE EXPERIENCE !! Will be returning.

Such a beautiful place. I’ve only been gone a couple days and I already miss it. If you’re into camping for the connection with nature, it can’t be beat. Miles of places to hike, my daughters and I walked for an hour and a half with 30 goats and an alpaca who were following us around. It is a bit rustic. You might have to walk 10 minutes or jump in your car for a flush toilet, and our site didn’t have any electricity, but it depends what you value in a camping experience. And for me the beautiful views, huge boulders, random pig walking through my campsite in the morning while I was making my coffee, just simply can’t be beat by any other place I’ve seen. I really love it and will be back as often as possible. Also, the staff are amazing and welcoming.

2 nights at Rustic Wooded Ranch -Creekside Stay

Tent camping at Gemeni Moon Ranch was such a cool and unique experience. The 5 acre grounds is surrounded by beautiful trees and rustic architecture. Once you get to the grounds, It feels like you've been transported back in time to an old western movie. Tracy and her partner were amazing hosts and greeted us upon arrival with a tour of the entire property. Pets are welcome which was great because we got to bring our dog along for the adventure. There is an outdoor kitchen and bathrooms on site, as well as tables for eating and a cozy bonfire area. There is also a creek that runs through their property and you can hear the frogs singing at night which was awesome! I would highly recommend camping on their property. It was such a great way to spend a few days out of the city.

Benjamin's property is a gem. I could have started for several days and not tired of the views. I arrived in the area close to o check in time, so I drove straight to the farm. I'd planned to head back out to explore and maybe eat dinner in town. I was glad that I had plenty of food and water with me, because I was happy to stay put once I picked out my camp spot. The road to the retreat is not at all difficult, even in my mid roof van. Still, I was happy to stay put for the afternoon and drive down the mountain in the morning.

The road leading up to this campground was absolutely stunning and beautiful. When we arrived, we were greeted by several goats and alpacas, which made us feel like we had stepped into a whole new world. We also got to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind. We bought some firewood from them and had a lovely chat, which made our stay even more comfortable. The showers had nice hot water, which was perfect for bathing our baby. And the gorgeous oak tree, along with the beautiful sunlight and scenery, created such a meaningful memory for us. I’m a bit worried that once more people find out about this place, it might become harder to book in the future, but I still want to leave a great review out of gratitude. This was my very first Hipcamp review, so thank you!

My family and I really enjoyed this location. To be honest, this was our first time camping and feel this was a beginner friendly location. We needed to go to the shop to purchase a few items. The staff was great. We appreciate that there was firewood and small propane tanks for our Coleman kitchen. We enjoyed the views and the goats we would definitely come again.

Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events.
