Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on).

Play with baby goats, chickens and rabbits. Explore the property and star gaze at night without light pollution from the city!This was an empty lot that was first purchased in 2014. We are the second owners of the property and want to be as self sustaining as possible. We are on a well and have converted to solar power. We will be building up the camp sites as well, gradually adding more amenities as we go to create a unique experience for our guests.More about me:I had a great and successful career at a very large CPA firm in San Diego but with city living comes pressure and stress. Due to deadlines and even more stress created by the partners of the firm, I ignored what my body was telling me. There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up!
Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on).
**WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. Please ask if you have questions?!

There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

This is a beautiful property with very nice hosts. The grass is lush and green with trees draping over the landscape like a glorious frame. Truly a peaceful and breathtaking property. Cows and chickens and lots of bunnies hopping through.
The hookup spaces are perfect and large. They each have their own picnic table and are separated by more beautiful trees for some privacy between camp sites. A very thoughtfully designed camp area with very welcoming hosts. I actually extended my stay by a few additional nights because I got lucky with availability and didn’t want to leave that beautiful property. Even the drive to the property is serene and amazing. Thank you for allowing me and my fur baby clan to rest on your land. 🙏🏻

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
Jacob is super accommodating and just nice all-around! He responded right away whenever I messaged him. When we got there, the Eureka cabin was so cute, and the sun on the porch felt very nice. While it was cold at night during this time, Jacob provided extra blankets for us. We also bought firewood for the firepit in front of the cabin, and pizza oven wood to make pizzas! The outdoor kitchen is STOCKED with more than just basic seasonings and kitchenware. The outdoor shower runs hot water easily and is decently covered. Walking around the land feels very much like a camping outdoor experience. Gertie (their dog) was also very friendly and loved being around us

I decided on a last minute spur of the moment camping trip with my pup and we loved Campo Nopalito so much! The cute and cozy A shaped cabin, fully stocked kitchen with pizza oven, eating and rest areas, bathroom, and beautiful grassy areas was convenient and perfect for a low effort camping experience. Jacob was very kind and helpful and we’ll definitely be back with pizza ingredients to try out the pizza oven next time.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and all of the animals were clearly very well cared for. The RV was comfortable and cozy.
Our kids especially loved one of the hens named Happy Feet. They spent time petting her and digging in the dirt to find worms for her to eat. We also loved meeting the turkey who purrs when you pet it!
Thor, the big fluffy love bug of a dog, completely stole the show. He even “knocked” on our RV door and let himself in when we opened it, then happily plopped onto the couch. Our girls spent hours petting him, and he gently pawed at them whenever they stopped. We looked forward to his visits every morning and evening.
It was such a special place to slow down, disconnect, and relax. Our youngest was emotional when we left because she had bonded so deeply with Thor. Spending time with him meant more to us than we expected. We lost our beloved dog of 13 years last year, and Thor reminded us of the joy a dog can bring to a family.
This place is truly special, and we’re so grateful for the experience.

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
The A frame was a nice cozy experience and the land around was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The fire pit near by gave a really nice ambiance and Jacob was super nice and accommodating.
The shared kitchen, eating area, and common place was clean and a really nice homey touch.
I can’t wait for the weather to warm up and I will absolutely be back!

2 nights at Robin's Nest
The airstream was awesome! Very updated and the decor was lovely! The bed was sooo comfy! The best part was being able to wake up and right outside of the window see the cutest Alpacas! All the animals there were so cute, and they even had a cool little jacuzzi! Would def plan another return trip!

30 ft travel trailer
A relaxed farm setting with steers lowing, chickens cackling, roosters crowing, and Hosts Bernie and Hoa cultivating gardens, moving soil with a tractor, sharing eggs and homemade beef jerky, also inviting us to sit by their fire.
Wonderful hosts and a great place to stay. The sites are level, private and offer hook ups. Return visitors!

Weekend Trip to Thundering Hawk Retreat
Visiting was such a beautiful experience for my girlfriend and I. We went for Valentine’s Day and were greeted by the welcoming committee, the farm dogs on the property. Daniel was extremely helpful. The bell tent included two framed beds and a heater buddy. They picked wildflowers from the property for us. We had a lovely time being around nature.

Weekend Trip to Wine Country Olive & Vine Acres
The family had a wonderful experience glamping in The wine country of Temecula. The host kind, accommodating, and attentive. We were really planning on just having a little home base at the site, but just hanging out in the little farm atmosphere was the highlight of our trip.

This is the perfect place for a San Diego getaway! It’s such a gorgeous property and A Frame to stay in. We had an awesome weekend hanging out and reading with the side open and making pizzas in the wood fired oven in the evening. Jacob and his girlfriend were super friendly and helpful, and the fruit we bought with passion fruits and kumquats is the best we’ve had anywhere. Camp dog Gertie is also sweet as can be and followed us around as we walked through the flowers. Would reccomend 11/10 and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
Our time at Nopalito Farm was seriously awesome - Jacob & his partner were incredibly hospitable, the farm was beautiful, and our A-frame was super cute and clean. We got to cook in the wood fire pizza oven which was a blast. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. We’ll definitely be coming back!
