We loved the Stargazer Cabin. And the fenced back yard had a super fire pit area. With bean bag chairs and a nice grill, too. Also, we drove out there in our Class C RV and they even had a 30-amp hook-up and water. Very nice surprise. We would definitely go back. We’re thinking of bringing our grandson because the property is very close to an OHV area that would be fun. All in all, it was pretty much perfect.

Weekend Trip to Stargazer Cabin
We loved our stay here. The spot feels incredibly private and peaceful, with wide-open desert views in every direction. The hot tub under the stars was a highlight, and the fire pit made our nights feel cozy and memorable. Everything was easy to access, clearly marked, and exactly as described. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet Joshua Tree escape.

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm
My girlfriend and I love this place, this was our second stay with Ron. We stayed at site Date Haven and it might be our FAVE site yet! Super private and it was just PERFECT. Ron was amazing at responding to our every need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place, we will be back AGAIN!

I loved being nestled in the palm fronds with my pup! The tent w/bed+electricity, tub w/hot springs water, and location are fantastic. It felt surprisingly private because the managers take care in placing folks. They responded quickly to my questions and everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. Grateful for the kitchen w/ potable water and there's rustic shower+toilet building. Highly recommend!

The hot mineral water is incredible! We go to a lot of mineral Springs and they all have different minerals and benefits, but we found that Ron’s Hot Springs gave us the most relief out of any hot spring. My husband and I are nearly 70 with lots and lots of aches and pains, and it was amazing how it Soothe them all away. Ron is a very gracious host, very prompt and accommodating if you contact him for anything. Since you’re away from the road, it was very, very quiet and peaceful. We’re already planning our next day there.

The Seemore 1964 Dexter was the perfect hideaway for a solo mission to the high desert, far enough off the beaten path to avoid the T-Day JT crowds. Tristyn and family were INCREDIBLY friendly and warm, and the property couldn't be easier to get to. All the amenities you really want, without the ones you really don't need, and with just the right amount of quirky charm and personal touch.

We really loved staying at Desert Protocol. It was super peaceful and full of great views, a wonderful hot tub and nice people. We didn’t use the outdoor kitchen, but it was amazing. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm
We stayed two nights. Some highlights include the comfortable bell tent, date trees, ramen, date shake and mineral spring tub. All of this plus more made for a comfortable, relaxing, and unique glamping experience. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. We went to Palm Springs for a few hours as well- it's a short drive away. We'll definitely be back.

Ronald was a wonderful, friendly and accomodating host.
The campsites are lovely and the hot tubs are delicious.

I would absolutely recommend this peaceful retreat in the desert! Super beautiful and quiet location just 30 minutes from Joshua Tree. Loved the outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Cozy indoor space had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.

What an amazing site! I almost want to keep it to myself but I also want everyone to know what a great site it is. It should be the ideal for others making campsites. You can't beat the price for what you get. I'm grateful that the owners share this part of their home.
The property is very well maintained, they even raked the ground and put lighting to the bathroom where a step into a tree could be stumbled upon. But definitely bring lights. We drove up to the site at night and noticed the markers easily. We didn't realize until morning that their are several RV hook ups and gardens to enjoy. Even a labyrinth! I'm very impressed and I'm looking forward to staying again. The site was very private, but at the time we were alone and did car camping. We used one of the two tables provided. The sink was locked but we made use of the toilet and shower. I also used the small spray of water that was shooting out from the hose spigot next to the restroom. Big mirror in the restroom and it had electricity. I shut off the water at night, which I hope that was okay, but I saw no need for it to spray water the whole time.
Fire wood and electricity was provided for free! Cell service also was present. Markets, restaurants, road side businesses are a short drive away. So was the RV park we went to visit.
The pictures to this place did not do it justice. The landscaping was very entertaining and fun.
I'm hoping to make this campsite a mainstay and would go out of my way to camp here again.

The eight of us had a fun time at the campsite and it was a great place to explore. Not only a spacious campsite, the bathroom and the shower is also a huge plus. 150 yards of offroad climbing to get to the campsite required some commitment for an 8 person van but it was an added fun.

3 nights at Three Pines Cabin | Boulder Bay
We loved our stay at Three Pines, Very convenient, inexpensive cabins right in the heart of Boulder Bay, just down the street from Boulder Bay Park and the lake. Just a 15 or 20 minute walk to Big Bear central district, restaurants and activities. Our cabin had a very comfortable bed, cute accommodating kitchen, and a modernized bathroom with excellent hot water and rainfall shower head. The owners were very kind to us on booking, as they were new to the online system, and Hipcamp accidentally double booked, but the owners made room for us on an upgraded cabin at no cost. This made our 3 nights in Big Bear special for me and my daughter. Thank you Three Pines Cabins!

We reserved an RV/Tent site at the Date Farm and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to the Dome campsite upon arrival. It's a new site on the Date Farm-- what a treat! :)
Ron let us check in early and met us at the gate to guide us in with clear instructions. The dome itself was comfortable and well-equipped, with a large bed, seating area, and a private flushing toilet. The mineral pool was a real highlight — the instant hot water heater lets you adjust the temperature as it fills, which is fantastic.
Our heater was a bit temperamental and needed attention a few times, but Ron responded quickly and was friendly and helpful each time.
One area of concern was the presence of some litter and broken glass around the campsite. This may simply be due to it being a newly opened area, but finding glass shards, litter and loose metal wiring was a bit worrying. Other campsites on the property looked more tidy, so we’re confident this will be addressed as the site continues to develop. Firewood (with lighter fluid) and fresh dates are also available for purchase on-site, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, this campground is great! It’s evident that Ron has put a lot of time and care into creating a unique experience. With a little additional cleanup and finishing touches, the Dome campsite will be truly special. We appreciate the upgrade and the hospitality, Ron!

I really enjoyed Ron's Farm, every camping space has a private Hot spring.
You can bring your own camping tent, RV or you can rent the Tents there.
The property has bath rooms and shower.
Great relaxing experience in the dessert.

This campsite is truly incredible. It has a level place to set up, a beautiful landscape, clean water, warm showers. The hosts are wonderful. We will come back many times. The olive oil from the farm is also spectacular.
If you have a sprinter van like we do, be careful with the edelberry spot. It's a very narrow road road surrounded by boulders.

My husband and I had a great night tent camping here. The host has been really thoughtful with the amenities and set up and it was just a 10-15 minute drive to the Joshua tree park entrance. We plan to come back and bring friends we liked it so much. Thank you!!!
