Still Moon Farm is a boutique mountain farm growing East Asian medicinal herbs. We sell mainly to tea purveyors, clinical herbalists and national herb distributors. Located around 2,800 feet in the Siskiyou mountain range. The region was initially inhabited by the Dakubetede Native American tribe. Post colonization … some parts of the land were logged and grazed by cattle. The last decade we have cut and thinned the forest in attempts to revitalize the forest and reduce potential fuel from fires. This bioregion has an extreme amount of flora and fauna diversity. This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. Oh, and if the natural beauty doesn’t get you: this was the place where they first spotted Bigfoot. Yeah, the original footage that basically made everyone believe in the hairy bi-ped. Trillium is a wilderness community and retreat center tucked into a vast valley of the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. From ridge-top to riverside, guest are immersed in pristine nature, breathtakingly fertile and rugged landscape. The land is teeming with plant and animal life. The nights are very dark so stargazing is a treat! The property includes 1/4 mi of river, numerous ponds, big open meadows and close to a mile of property road, plus a forest trail. With 1/2 mi on the main road are a number of trailheads which access a large trail system. In the larger area, there are numerous lakes and trails.
Each cabin has easy access to a composting toilet and bath or shower. Firewood is included at each cabin for the wood stove. The tap water is drinkable, otherwise there will be bottled water for you.
We cannot have open fires and don't allow smoking on the property. We prefer not to have dogs.
There is no cell service at Trillium. Internet is available on the south end of the property.
This is an active retreat property, so there may be groups or other individuals there as well. If you are interested in hosting an event at Trillium, let us know!
Ruch is our closest town. It has a bar, hardware store, grocery and other basic necessities. Jacksonville is a cute rustic town with a number of eating and shopping possibilities. Medford, about 10 minutes further has the big box stores and more diverse food options. Ashland is an artistic and creative town worth visiting. There are always lots of events.

The Redwoods Bend Retreat is a place to get away from it all. Located on the Yurok reservation right on the Klamath River just outside Orick, CA, we are "off the grid", through a Redwood forest and over a mountain down into the Klamath River valley. We have a 5 acre meadow, and orchard with 50 trees, peaches pears, apples, cherries, plums, pluots, apricots and grapes. We are right on the Klamath river. It's a great place to come and recharge your internal batteries. There is no cellphone service and none of our sites have internet service.
Our Main House was built in 1952 and retains the flavor of the 50’s. It houses a kitchen, dining hall, a living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower.
Our log-built Lodge overlooks the Klamath River with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom and wrap-around covered porch.
Our Pumpkin and Blue Cottages. They are close to the double Yellow Shower house and toilets, and they have hot and cold running water, a propane cooktop, and a wood stove for heat. We do NOT have refrigeration, and our solar batteries or generator provides us lights at night. Campers who use our Cottages may use their own sleeping bags, but we have beds with mattresses and pillows and clean bedding. We also have an Upper Barn bedroom and half-bath rental.
Our two-story Riverview Yurt appeals to folks who want a full kitchen, a private shower and flush toilet overlooking the Klamath river from our 50 x 50 foot upper deck. Luscious to sit outside and watch the river flow by during the day, and to let the water lull you to sleep at night. For families (up to 8), folks who like to fish, or old friends who just want a very special get-away.
Each of our six campsites have a picnic table and a fire pit. Our Maple River, Grotto River and Pepperwood River sites overlook the gorgeous Klamath River. Our Morning Meadow, Orchard Meadow, and Deer Meadow sites are close to our 5 acre meadow where blacktail deer graze in the evenings.
We have a Yellow double Shower House with two separate sides, each with a toilet, sink and shower and on demand hot water, so folks don't have to wait. There's also a new Camp Shower at the corner of the orchard for our campers, along with two outhouses for camper use, one at the bottom of the road down to the meadow, and another in the woods just past Deer Meadow Camp.
We see lots of wildlife; silver foxes, a bald eagle and a family of river otters downstream, vultures, blue heron, occasionally an osprey will fly overhead clutching a freshly caught salmon and call to each other to brag about it! There are rare sightings of timid black bears who run from humans, but sometimes can be seen grazing in the meadow with the black-tail deer.
We're surrounded by old logging trails made by the lumber companies 80 years ago when they clear cut the old growth redwood on our side of the mountain, and now it's completely reforested with 200 ft tall Doug Fir, Madrone, Cedar, Oak, other pine species and Pepper wood trees, and we have written permission from the Green Diamond company to allow guest to hike on their adjacent properties.

Our 160-acre property is surrounded by about a million acres of National Forest. Our neighborhood is all made of trees, huckleberry bushes and animals. We love it here. It is very remote, peaceful, and functionally sustainable in its focus. The closest neighbor is a Buddhist Hermitage about a mile up the forestry road. Also, supposedly, Sasquatch live here! (it is the epicenter for documented sightings).
Most visitors to the area are interested in spending time in the redwoods – we are about 30-45 minutes from the nearest entrance to Jedediah Smith Park, home of Stout Grove and other beautiful redwood hikes. Driving into Crescent City, about 45-60 minutes, winds you right through the "gentle giants" on your way to or from Redwood National Park.
We are self-sufficient, and sustainable in a relatively primitive set-up, especially after the fire this year. It's mountainous and remote, and we have a community agreement about no smoking (of any kind) on our land.

We loved glamping at the steehhead cabin for 3 nights. It was super cozy surrounded by old bay forest. We heard barred owls hooting at night and saw elk and turkey.
A great hub for our salmon estuary fishing.
Toilet worked as described. We brought three sets of rechargeable string lights, it would have been pretty dark without. We loved the cozy fire place.
The kids loved the loft and catching frogs and crawdads in the river. The river is a short ~0.25 mile hike away, but you can hear it at night.
Lovely deck to eat outside and stargaze. Loved the oil lamps- it gives a romantic and cozy feel.
Glampers and campers will love this.

We really enjoyed our stay, being so close to the Chetco was definitely the highlight. The walk down to the river is a relatively short trek, it only took a couple minutes to get there.
The A frame itself was bigger than I expected from the photos. The deck provided a really lovely view of the stars at night as there was little light pollution.
4x4 or AWD recommend is a must in my opinion. While I think you could make it out in a 2WD, I think it would destroy the road.
All in all, very grateful for the stay.

Cabin was great rustic and romantic, oil lanterns. Beds aren't great but hey it's camping! You don't cover for the beds. Next time I'm bringing a mattress topper and it will be fine because I am definitely coming back! Don't miss out on the hammock in the utility closet. All in all this place is a gem!

Weekend Trip to Ramblin' Redwoods Cabins
We absolutely loved our stay at Rambling Redwoods! The campground itself is clean & well maintained. It does seem to be geared more toward RVs than tent camping, and since it’s right off the road, tent campers may hear some road noise.
That said, I can’t recommend the cabins enough! Ours was incredibly clean, cozy, and comfortable, with both heat and A/C. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed, and the view from the cabin was so peaceful.
The campground also has some great amenities, including a dog wash station, playground, washers and dryers, and a nice communal yard area with a firepit. There’s also a small store at the office with a surprisingly good variety of food items, cooking essentials, and other supplies you might need during your stay.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We genuinely loved staying here and would absolutely come back!

What a cute cabin! We especially loved making farm fresh eggs with produce grown in the garden that was left for us in the kitchen cabin. The outdoor shower in the woods was wonderful, as well as the host.

Weekend Trip to Cedar Bloom
I would arrive in daylight, otherwise it is hard to find the a frames (very small sign) and the electric outlet for charging my car (next to the kitchen but no sign) Wonderful outdoor shower and sauna. Loved the tea house. Lots of deer and wild turkey. Stars were beautiful at night. I’d probably camp instead of stay in the A frame again because there was mouse poop on the bed

2 nights at Howling Acres Ranch
We had a lovely time at the cabin. We told Cara we’d need to arrive late, and she left the front door light on for us. When we arrived the cute little electric fireplace was warming things and the cabin had that beautiful nostalgic wood scent. There was an easy morning coffee station and a big jug of well water. The bath house was clean and fresh and when I used the shower, it had warm water and good water pressure. The composting toilet was easy to use with clear directions. Plenty of bedding and two sleeping options. We ended up using the fouton on the main level just because it was easier when we had to get up at night. The land was gorgeous and we saw so many birds. It was a perfect home base for our Shakespearean getaway! The dogs barked sometimes at night, but we didn’t hear them when we were indoors.

2 nights at Cedar Bloom
Our stay at Cedar Bloom was just what we needed. We unfortunately picked our two day stay during bad weather but it actually worked out perfectly for us. On the first day, the weather was decent enough to be able to enjoy their beautiful swimming area. On the second day, it was pouring down rain but made the best of it and checked out the Oregon Caves, got cozy in our A frame and warmed up in the sauna. You could tell they put alot of thought into making an enjoyable and relaxing space for visitors. There's a full kitchen, tea house, sauna and outdoor showers along with two adorable campground cats, we couldn't ask for more. We will definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Cedar Bloom
Our little A-frame cabin was perfect and the scenery very beautiful, zen, and tranquil. We loved the swimming area! We would probably use a cook stove next time and bring our own utensils, but it was great to have the option of cooking things in a communal kitchen and having refrigerator space. Only downside was that bathrooms were far away. Not the best situation for older people who might need to use it more frequently. We loved the proximity to Ashland! We caught a play before our camping experience.

Weekend Trip to Trillium Wilderness Retreat
Loved how secluded this area was and in the hills, the night time view as well as the sunrise were amazing on top of the hill. Great location.
