The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. Nestled in the foothills of the Tahoe National Forest, our Retreat Center offers a variety of accommodations to suit your needs, from 10 to 60. (SEE BELOW.) We are six minutes to several locations on the Yuba River and twenty minutes to Bullard’s Bar. Located just 15 short miles from the historic communities of Nevada City and Grass Valley, Willow Springs is a place to escape and re-connect with what is important, creating memories. We also incorporate principles of sustainability at Willow Springs, with an on-site educational herb and permaculture garden for which a self-tour is available (free) and a guided tour upon request. Fresh produce possible depending upon season and availability. We operate ala carte with our accommodations so we can customize your experience to meet your needs. You can choose one or more of the following: GROUP CAMPGROUND: This one-acre fenced in area allows for guests (Max 30) to bring their dogs and pitch tents in a protected area with an expansive view. Camp cooking has never been easier, as the community kitchen is well equipped with 2 full-sized refrigerators, gas stove/oven, pots and pans, dishware, silverware, triple sink, and two outdoor barbeques. The cooks will especially appreciate our unique outdoor “dishwashing station” for each individual (even kids!) to efficiently wash their own dishes instead of using throw-away plastic for each meal. Our bathhouse has two private toilets, two private showers with hot water and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries. ADDITIONAL LODGING & AMENTITIES: YURT: A 20’ yurt (sleeps 4) is equipped with a full bed and queen sofa for members of your camping group that would like greater comfort. Limited electricity is available. BUNK HOUSE: This bunk house has 3 twin bunkbeds (sleeps 6) with a 12x14 covered deck. Limited electricity is available. In recent history, a multi-cultural group of community members formed the Konkow Partnership to attempt to hold, steward, and preserve the wilderness that survives here. Visit, fish, or camp in a rare jewel forest, hidden in the Sierra/Cascade foothills, less than an hour's drive to Chico, Oroville, or Paradise. Surviving forests of mature cedars, pines, oaks, and madrones provide shady camping, fishing along the lake shore, or picnicing along the banks of the creek that runs through a recovering creekside area. Stargaze or fly kites in our Great Meadow or admire copious wildflowers and other native plants on over 80 acres of wilderness. We provide a variety of recovering wilderness areas near water faucets, pit toilets and an RV dump station. Our site features mature forests, grassy meadows, a year-round creek in a fire recovery zone. The site also features lakefront shoreline access for bank fishing, a central fire pit and lots of space for group camping. Fires are permitted in the central pit when weather allows. The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. The most unique hipcamp I've ever been! So much to do and so much to see, we had tons of fun! Main cabin is extremely comfty, equipped with everything you need. Deja is super friendly and flexible to our last min change, truly appreciate the flexibility. Oh, did I mention Deja's hipcamp is only 10 mins away from Oregon Creek? We spent whole day there it's so beautiful. It's perfect in every way, we will definitely come back.

I recommend! We enjoyed our 3-night stay on Samantha's land. We spent most of our day visiting the South Yuba River and returned to the land before dark. Quick and simple ~20-minute drive to spots on 'Uba Seo. The picnic bench and chairs were nice for lounging, journaling, reading, and eating meals. The site was easy to locate after the gravelly 3-mile road. You'll be surrounded by tree relatives and other animal kin. Note, there is not much service in most areas. The eggs (add-on) were a great plus. The bathroom/shower worked fine, and offered hot water, which was what we mainly wanted out of this facility offering. Her pups were very sweet and playful. Samantha was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable about the history of the land. Thank you for making our adventure meaningful, safe, and comfortable!
