Each Boarding Corral has walking space, shaded corners, automated water feeders, soft dirt, partially sheltered sides and is in close proximity to a round pen, a small arena (turnout) and is encompassed by a small walking track. No two corrals are close enough to each other for the horses to interact, reducing the likelyhood of mishap from a neighbor. Each Weekender Corral comes equipped with the same as the above, excepting only the partially sheltered side panels, and are right next to where you will be parking your trailer or camper. Address is posted at the entrance. *Smoke detector - I will be notified if there is smoking inside the townhome ($200 fine) *Minut – sound detection at high decibels – I will be notified at 85 decibels during regular hours and over 70 decibels during quiet hours. If it gets very loud you will be notified too. We cannot hear what is being said, just measured sound decibels. *Exterior Cameras- Security gate, driveway and front door- audio & visual recordings activated by motion sensor and in place for safety measures. *Special note after the COVID-19 Crisis: Protecting each other’s health and safety is very important to us. We are doing our part in keeping our vacation rental as safe as possible to prevent any spread of any disease/illness. THE AREA: Tucked away under a grove of oak trees, and circled by manzanita trees, sits "Manzanita Cove". A secluded glamping site that contains everything you need, including a private (seasonal pond). This private site is provided with about 1/2 acre of seclusion and equipped with everything needed for an amazing outdoor experience. The total property is about 5 acres, but is shared with our AirBnB: "Julians Red Fox Retreat", which can be booked separately or together with our "Manzanita Cove" glamping site. Because of the shared space, we do limit the number of guests to two, and ask that you be respectful of the space and noise level when booking independently. There are several hammocks around the grounds to relax as well as a few short trails to walk. The property is about a 7 minute drive from downtown Julian. WINTER/ SPRING GUESTS: Access to the site is down a bit of a steep dirt road, so we suggest that winter and Spring campers (wet weather) have AWD/4WD or park at the top and walk down. Otherwise is it accessible by most vehicles other parts of the year. Please do not stop on the hill when leaving. You will spin your tires and damage the road.

What a slice of paradise Bernard and Hoa share with the campers. They are friendly, generous, and accommodating. Their property is just a few blocks away from the cute town of Ramona, CA! Marinade on Main is a favorite restaurant nearby. Their property is secluded, secure, and peaceful behind a coded gate. There are three camping sites that are quite large, and several tent sites. The grounds are well maintained. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown San Diego, La Mesa, Santee, and our son’s home nearby. We were able to stay at Thompson’s Palm Farm quite a few days as there is water, electric, and septic. We will return again and again!

We've had a great time there with my three sons. The RV offered comfortable stay for 4 people. The place is very cozy and has everything you'd need for a relaxing staycation out of town: bathrooms with running water, kitchen, fridge, master bed and two bunk beds. Everything is clean and in good order. Jason, the host, was very accommodating and helped us set up a wood fire pit, where we enjoyed our little BBQ and marshmallows under the star-lit sky. We were pleasantly surpsised by the welcome basket full of goodies left by the host for our enjoyment. Dont forget to take off the shoes before going inside to keep the place clean and grab your trash bags on the way out.

You can tell there was quite a bit of thought and care in the layout and construction which makes for a stress free and relaxing stay. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Harrison Serenity Ranch. From the moment we arrived, Vicki welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel right at home. The property is absolutely beautiful — the views are unbelievable, especially at sunset, and the whole place has a peaceful, secluded vibe that’s perfect for getting away from everything. We also loved meeting the resident pig, who was surprisingly friendly and made the stay even more memorable! The campground was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, and you can tell the hosts genuinely care about the land and the experience they provide. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Dante was great host who offered firewood and use of a canoe. This was a first tent camping trip for my two sons and when it was time to pack up, they both said they wish we had an extra night. We all caught a fish. The relaxing sound of the frogs and owls was perfect. Unzipping the tent door to the view of the lake in the morning was awesome. We saw ducks, turtles, egret, along with a few of Dante’s goats. Very peaceful and remote.

This was hands down the best “glamping” experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve been enjoying visiting an array of Hipcamp sites for the past 5 years). The land is absolutely breathtaking - quiet, serene, natural. We saw beautiful birds, a tiny frog, and a few deer during our stay. The location is sublime. Feels like you’re deep in a nature preserve (super quiet, no light pollution), but local shops are actually minutes away if you want to venture out. The site itself is so well thought out! The spacious tent was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy and warm! The outdoor kitchen was literally nicer than my own indoor kitchen. Preparing and enjoying meals was the highlight of our stay. Oh…and the bathroom? Blew me away. Pristine bathroom with a huge hot water shower. I felt like royalty during my stay at Manzanita Cove and I can’t wait to go back!

My gf and I loved tent camping at Vickis land! Amazing views and it felt like we had the whole campsite to ourselves. It was more then we expected. PERFECT overall, Vicki is super friendly and very helpful. Her lovely dogs were cute and respectful. We will definitely book again, we felt like we were in the clouds. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Site 1 was a great spot, very clean and easy to pull into. Only noteworthy thing was the acorns raining down on our van all night. Friendly dogs greeted us a few times throughout the night and in the morning. Pet some goats as well :)

Our favorites are Julian Beer Company & Quecho but ask for more recs! 🐴 Next door to a horse sanctuary, Hills of Gold Equine Sanctuary, where you can volunteer or book a private experience to get hands on with 6+ rescue horses. 🌲 So many trails to explore in the local Cuyamaca State Park or Santa Ysabell Nature Preserve. We recommend the Santa Ysabell East trail for a mellow hike through rolling meadow amongst lots of cows!

This is a historical property in campo California. A great old west town with an interesting history behind it. This particular property was where the Buffalo soldiers kept their working horses close to 100 years ago in what is now the last standing original buffalo soldier barn. Old artifacts and handmade tack can still be found in the giant rustic barn. The barn is now used to breed unique crossbred horses that have gained Note-oriety, and have been featured on the cover of magazines, including the Boot Barn campaign (who intend to use the barn in in future photo shoots) as well as use famous spotted horse, Confettis American Warrior in the next ad campaign being shot in Hollywood next month. We tried to keep the barn with its original charm and added some world class beautiful horses that are available for riding around the property and/or photoshoots during your stay for an additional cost. We have extra stalls available for people who would like to bring their own horses for a unique camping experience including riding your horse in Camp Locket and along the USA/America border wall. Lots of space for trailer and very secure stalls in the barn. We are just starting out doing this, but have the options of staying in a brand new shed yet to be converted, in the barn inside an old stall to have a real authentic experience where the soldiers used to rest or a tent overlooking the old historical barn and the fabulous horses (right now we have babies!). We have multiple cross fences fenced areas including stalls and areas for your dog but will need to discuss details beforehand. We are very pet and people friendly.
