There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you.
We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork Cosumnes river. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe!
In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”.

Close to all the local wineries. Lawrence was a great host and bonus, makes Fraser Family Wines. Definitely arrange a tasting. If you want to expand your group look for the listing for the house to rent as well. Perfect spot for visiting Plymouth. Clean, nice protected patio and view of the vineyards. Outdoor seating area with fire pit when allowed. Super nice

The family had a great time. The swimming hope was a standout as was loads of shade under the Camp 5 oak tree grove which was perfect for our wiffelball shenanigans.
Another standout were our hosts who went above and beyond to help us jump our suv after the battery died. They spend at leave 30mins with us and they didn’t have to.
So, do recommend the space and the hosts. Do not recommend forgetting that your car doors and tailgate have lights in them that will stay on until the battery dies. 😉

Directions were great getting out there, routed to Grays Corner and then out to the property. Camping site 5 had some nice shade from a large tree and direct access to a nice little river spot with a shady rocky beach across the river (waded across). We wished we had explored up the river as there was a large beach and more spots just up a little path. Plenty of parking and the bathrooms were cute, although a hike up the hill.

My friend and I loved this place. Hosts, including the dog, were so friendly, but respectful of you and your space. We had 5 originally booked. When we arrived and were greeted they offered us to move to another site if we wanted more privacy because the other two sites next to us were families with kids. Thought that was really thoughtful for all groups to consider offering to us. The river is really close to the sites and at that time was pretty low so perfect for kids animals to be able to play or if you just wanted to stand in the water..
We ended up picking site 3 because it overlooked the river. We couldn't hear a thing from anywhere around other than occasional tree or bushes. You really feel like you get to be outdoors in nature, but there is a nice bathroom available. Our site had a little wood table as well. We also liked that we felt safe there. They have a nice property and setup. Great hosts. Already recommending to others and looking forward to going back. 4,5, and the one next to 5 would make great group camping spot for people looking for a place by river or water, but secluded. My heads ups would be, be prepared for some meat bees and misquitos later in the night, but you are outdoors so will find them.

We had a great time camping here. At first we were wary of the proximity and exposure of our site to a neighboring site that had a large, loud, fun-loving group, but we made some adjustments (mostly to our expectations) and it all worked out just fine.
The walk-in site would be our choice next time. It’s more secluded and closer to the best part of the river access.
The river is beautiful. It might better be described as a large creek but there are good spots to swim and float and relax. No dangerous or challenging areas like in some rivers, just clear fresh lovely water flowing and pooling around rocks and willows and tall pines.
Noreen facilitates an easy experience with timely, comprehensive communications before and during your stay.
Wonderful night skies and delicious fresh eggs!
The sound of the water flowing over rocks and owl calls were the soundtrack overnight.
Just fyi: There was some poison oak around the site and along the paths so you should definitely know how to identify it.
The bathrooms and well water spigot are a few minute climb up the road from the sites down by the river.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend!

If hanging out along a wild river with granite, clear water, pools for a relaxing float and shade for your beach chair is your vibe, this is the place. a rare jewel with access to the river, shade, potable water and a couple flush toilets too. This is not the least expensive hipcamp but it was perfect for us. The sites are big and shaded. the owners friendly. carpool if you can. the additional car fee per night adds up quick.

The campsite is a hidden paradise. Once you enter the property, you drive down the hill to the end where sites #4~7 are wide open for you to settle down. Lots of trees provide nice cool shade. The river is very close, like a minute walk. The shallow waters and gentle currents make it ideal for children to play. A couple of tips are,
- Portable water is available next to the toilet, where you need to walk uphill, so bring a water tank
- Be prepared for mosquitoes and bees
- The table equipped is a little high, bring your own folding table for comfortable dining
Compared to a popular state park campsite, this is very private and has much less people density. There are many wineries close by. You can enjoy both nature and wine!

This was my second time staying on Noleen's property and the entire trip was amazing. Campsite 5 is very close to the water, but not the most private. It looked like there were more secluded campsites, but it's worth it to be able to hear the rushing water at night. Make sure you explore the property because there are multiple river spots that are private and great for swimming.
Be warned that there are a few wasps by the water in June. Noleen was so sweet and gave me some allergy medication when my partner got stung. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay went well. Most of the river spots didn't have any wasps, we just weren't being careful!
While I was there for two nights I saw, 2 deers, 1 frog, 5 toads, many tadpoles, many fish, and a lot of cool birds!
Could not recomend more!
