Each yurt has a wood-fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm. Each yurt has a kitchen that is fully equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, grill, etc. Each yurt has a Queen bed with a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night. Each yurt has its own dedicated wood-fired hot tub. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot. Things you might like to bring: headlamps, robe, flip flops, slippers, hiking shoes. Water: we are on a well and provide fresh drinking water in a container for you. It’s fine to drink, cook, and bathe with the water from the tap but it can have a minerally quality to it. We test the well annually. We provide filtered water but if it runs out, the water out of the tap is safe and delicious. The hot tub: it’s wood fired. This means you have to heat it with a fire to get it hot. This can take many hours to get to the right temperature. It’s a good idea to start a fire right when you get there! This tub may have leaves in it (they fall from above) and cloudy water. The water should NOT smell, the cloudiness is a part of the cedar tubs charm- ash from the fire and particulate from the cedar mix together. We treat it between guests with natural products that maintain the wood (you can’t use chlorine in these tubs). We clean it regularly. Shower before using it to wash off any oils please! The outdoor shower is lovely :) Fireplace: We will leave you a bundle of wood that comes with the rental. If you need more wood you can purchase it from us or from the grocery store. We have lots of wood at the yurt and we ask you to pay $10 per bundle if you use more then we leave you inside. This is on the honor system- It takes a lot of time and resources to keep wood stocked for the property. If you don’t know how to start a fire you may want to bring an instant log with you. Please leave the lighter behind for the next guest. Sleep: we have a heating blanket for cold nights, It’s about 10 degrees cooler on our land than in town. This is a real treat during our hot summers. There will be a fan for you as well during the warm season. We live in the woods, there are bugs and wild animals on/or near the property. The tiny bathroom includes a metal tub with a copper shower and a compostable toilet. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. There are two chairs on the screened-in porch to enjoy the sunset in the evenings or your coffee/tea in the mornings. Situated a mere 10 minutes drive away is the pristine Finnon Lake, inviting you to indulge in a refreshing swim or a tranquil paddle amidst breathtaking scenery. Pack and play, twin air bed, and dining table booster seat with tray are available! Please just request them before you arrive, and bring your own sheet for the pack and play. Dustin and Om's land, farm, Glampgalore retreat was perfect for our 4 month old's first camping experience. The tent was so cozy, thoughtfully decorated and organized with string lights, a comfortable bed, dresser, side table, and cooking wares. Our dogs had a blast walking the beautiful trails all around and we had the best time feeding acorns to the goats and the cutest pigs you will ever meet. Being followed around by a gaggle of chickens, guinea hens, ducks, and one curious turkey made our trip all the more sweet. Dustin and Om are the best hosts we have ever had on Hipcamp and we will definitely be back in the spring!

We had a great time at the Shamballa cabin over the weekend! It’s a beautiful rustic cabin in the middle of nature. You’ll get the feel of glamping (only wood burning stove for heat, no bathrooms in the cabin or running hot water (but flush toilet and hot water sink and shower in main house)), but you’ll be staying in a beautiful cabin with comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare meals and a cozy place to relax. We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking the Dragons nest trail (get ready for some exercise as you go up to the top!). There is so much land to see and we only saw a little bit! I imagine it’s beautiful in the Winter months also! Thank you Adam and we hope to visit another time!

I had a great time glamping on the platform! It was really nice to not have to worry about setting up a tent, sleeping bags, table chairs, etc. This was by far the best bathroom I’ve ever had in any camping experience. Absolutely beautiful and clean shower and toilet. I was also super impressed there was electricity and wifi! I was a big fan of the hot tub, although unless you sit back you do get a view of the other tent decks, and them of you haha. The sites without pre-set up tents were looked nice and I would camp in those another time if I couldn’t book a glamping tent; the string lights at those are beautiful. If I were staying in a glamping tent again, I’d bring my own pillow and a bright lantern, but otherwise felt like the accommodations were perfect. Jo is very sweet and super responsive. Would def come back!
