Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. The 40’ long deck spans the length of the secluded tiny house overlooking the forest to distant mountains and has alfresco dining area and plenty of furniture for cozying as well as hot tub sited for star gazing and firepit seating all within a large fenced yard to keep your fur babies close by.

Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups.
The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage.
The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation!
There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years.
The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness.
We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit.
Many turkeys love to stop by too!
If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one. They are amazing.

This vintage horse trailer was reimagined into a Tiny house by Lane and Laurie as a couples project in 2018 which they completely gutted and remodeled using beautiful natural materials , old fashioned wood cabinetry, handmade ceramic tiles and woven bamboo with fully equipped kitchen, quality linens, fireplace, AC, WIFI, smart TV.
Bluebird Tiny House is tucked into a secluded forest meadow, named for the bluebirds that spend part of the year there and is a spacious feeling 320 sq ft.
The spa-inspired bathroom features a hand-carved, wood vessel sink, eco-dual flush toilet,rain shower, and free-standing soaking tub with oak canopy view.
The 40’ long deck spans the length of the secluded tiny house overlooking the forest to distant mountains and has alfresco dining area and plenty of furniture for cozying as well as hot tub sited for star gazing and firepit seating all within a large fenced yard to keep your fur babies close by.
In addition, we have developed 2 forest therapy trails that will bring your ability to slow down and connect to nature to a whole new level and encourage you to try it using our MP3 forest therapy audio guide..
If you need to accommodate a larger group, check out Pinky's Nature Hideout which has a full kitchen, spacious living room, fenced yard for pets, corn hole, large deck and hot tub sited for star gazing, and firepit seating which overlooks the forest to distant mountains. It sleeps 4 people but the "Lounge" vintage Spartan trailer which is located behind the bunkhouse can be rented to sleep an additional 2 people and is only available to Pinky's guests.

Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups.
The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage.
The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation!
There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years.
The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness.
We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit.
Many turkeys love to stop by too!
If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one. They are amazing.

The Time Traveler’s Cabin was absolutely stunning! The decor is incredible, but what I loved most was the kitchen it was so well-stocked that I felt like I was in my own home. We spent so much time on the outdoor patio and forge, soaking up the sun, eating lunch, and enjoying the fire. Our host was wonderful and so quick to respond, though we felt so prepared we hardly needed a thing. Thank you for a perfect weekend! Great weekend getaway for a family!!!

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
We normally go tent camping (a lot of times, at more primitive sites), but decided to give “glamping” a go to celebrate a birthday. Not gonna lie, it was pretty nice having amenities like flushing toilets, an outdoor shower, and an outdoor kitchen (complete with a pizza oven)!
The little cabin was cute and cozy and I loved that the wall/roof just opens up to the fresh air - we even slept with it kept open.
They are view of the other cabins but it wasn’t that big of a deal and the other camps we encountered were very nice. They have an adorable farm doggo, Gertie, who would make her rounds each morning to say hi and come in for pets and skritches.
The farm owner/host, Jacob, was super friendly and helpful and was always responsive to all of our questions/needs. We brought ingredients to make pizza in their pizza oven so Jacob set it up for us, gave us instructions/tips, and just let us try out it for ourselves which was so fun. We messed up the first one but the others turned out great! Just beware that the oven will take about 1.5 hours to heat up so plan for that.
We had a great time at Campo Nopalito… It was a peaceful little retreat and we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Village Retreat
We had a great time during our stay. The place was so beautiful and held so much energy. We loved the hike and walks around the stay. We were also lucky to see some wild animals during the day and clear skies at night. We left the place with a happy heart 🥰. I really appreciate Caitriona and Michele for maintaining the land untouched with all its innate purity.

Granite Mountain was an incredible escape! The views, sunrise, and sunset were breathtaking. So much so I proposed here. The cabin is easy to access from where you park and has everything you need. Ken was an excellent host, he was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend!

We loved our stay on Ken's land. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. The environment was peaceful and serene with gorgeous views. We also couldn't have asked for a better host. My mom and I came to relax at Granite Mnt. for two days. Ken was an amazing host, communicated promptly and was extremely responsive. Granite Mnt. cabins are beautiful, set amongst manzanita trees and huge boulders. Although I didn't have my children along, I could imagine that children would have an amazing time climbing boulders and chasing lizards. The site is private (although we were the only visitors there) with a beautiful picnic table in the manzanita trees. As soon as the sun goes down beautiful lights turn on to create a beautiful ambience. We moved from the porch to the table to the fire pit. The bathroom and shower is in the cabin, which was great for my 78 year old mom (who made it up the hill)! The cabin is perfect for two people. As in southern California we could hear traffic from the nearby road at certain times of day. That was the only little bummer, but I am a stressed mom so always looking for quiet. I would return in a heartbeat.

Jacob is super accommodating and just nice all-around! He responded right away whenever I messaged him. When we got there, the Eureka cabin was so cute, and the sun on the porch felt very nice. While it was cold at night during this time, Jacob provided extra blankets for us. We also bought firewood for the firepit in front of the cabin, and pizza oven wood to make pizzas! The outdoor kitchen is STOCKED with more than just basic seasonings and kitchenware. The outdoor shower runs hot water easily and is decently covered. Walking around the land feels very much like a camping outdoor experience. Gertie (their dog) was also very friendly and loved being around us

I decided on a last minute spur of the moment camping trip with my pup and we loved Campo Nopalito so much! The cute and cozy A shaped cabin, fully stocked kitchen with pizza oven, eating and rest areas, bathroom, and beautiful grassy areas was convenient and perfect for a low effort camping experience. Jacob was very kind and helpful and we’ll definitely be back with pizza ingredients to try out the pizza oven next time.

The A frame was a nice cozy experience and the land around was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The fire pit near by gave a really nice ambiance and Jacob was super nice and accommodating.
The shared kitchen, eating area, and common place was clean and a really nice homey touch.

This is the perfect place for a San Diego getaway! It’s such a gorgeous property and A Frame to stay in. We had an awesome weekend hanging out and reading with the side open and making pizzas in the wood fired oven in the evening. Jacob and his girlfriend were super friendly and helpful, and the fruit we bought with passion fruits and kumquats is the best we’ve had anywhere. Camp dog Gertie is also sweet as can be and followed us around as we walked through the flowers. Would reccomend 11/10 and will definitely be back!

Our time at Nopalito Farm was seriously awesome - Jacob & his partner were incredibly hospitable, the farm was beautiful, and our A-frame was super cute and clean. We got to cook in the wood fire pizza oven which was a blast. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Village Retreat
We loved our stay at this Adobe style hut in the wilderness. The amenities at the community kitchen were awesome and there was clean bathrooms with hot showers.
Lots of fun little trails to walk around the property and we got lucky with a new moon and clear skies to setup our telescope and do some of the best star gazing I have done yet.
All together Tom could not have been a better host. He was quick with the replies when we had questions but other than that we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
There were 2 trail makers also staying on the property that were fun to talk to and told us all about the trail they have worked on around the state parks and the one they are making on the property that will eventually be an awesome walk that scales the big hill behind the different living quarters. So far its only partially done but looks amazing thus far.
