Not Glamping!
Mountain Top Glamping - Wall Tent 1
The Good: The booking process was fine. Host answered questions promptly before check-in. We were ushered in by a caretaker who showed us the glamping tent site. We had no problem with check in. The canvas tent and the wooden platform are in a good condition. Bed and Linen inside the tent are good. The Bad: This property has a mix of Traditional tent sites, bunk house, tiny container houses, rustic house, and pre-installed canvas tents (which is sold as "Glamping"). We paid more than $200 per night for staying in these canvas tents with no electricity, no flush toilets or showers nearby. The tent has a string of solar powered lights on the deck that stay on for 4 hours after the dusk. There is no lighting inside the tent. But for the cost we paid, and in order to qualify as Glamping, the facility must provide flush toilets and showers near the glamping area. If the Glamping guests have to take a 10 minute trip for decent flush toilets and showers, and also share the showers with rest of the campground , it is not glamping at all. The Ugly: There were port a potties kept nearby the glamping tent, with smell and flies, they did more damage than provide any convenience. The lack of electricity / a fan made it IMPOSSIBLE to stay in the tent between 11.00am and 7.00pm due to hot weather. There was no place to stand and brush your teeth in front of a sink other than the bath house shared by hundred other people in tenting area / bunk house, a 10-minute walk as wel

Its not a true glamping site but a mix of glamping, tent camping and Airbnb type of facility. Also, porta potty was not being maintained for days. There's no proper restroom with a sink available except in one location. Not recommended at all!

Love the location, nice and peaceful and some great views. Bed was comfortable. Some great star viewing. Lots of flies - typical for Palomar mountain area this time of year but be aware. Road is not that bad, just take it slow.
