Wackalulu's Wonderland felt like a luxurious retreat. The cabin felt private, but was close enough to shared spaces to enjoy those amenities as well. The kitchen had everything we needed to grill up some lovely meals and the mini fridge was a generous size. Very comfy bed, incredible shower, and we absolutely loved using the hot tub! The creek side seating area was amazing for bird watching in the day and bat watching at night. The property is covered in whimsical touches that create a retreat that is brimming with heart and joy.

We love this place and come back every year. It's beautiful, peaceful and private, with a creek running behind the cabin and the woods all around. There are lots of water related activities nearby because of the river and Armstrong Park with the redwoods is also quite close. A gem for sure!

A place to have a restorative retreat. Tall trees, many birds singing, and a creek. We had everything we needed in our cabin to just stay put or go out on day adventures, depending on our moods. The furniture was super comfy; we had oodles of areas to sit and ponder life. We had everything we needed including a hot tub, a kitchen area, 4-piece bath, a porch, a living area. Everything was clean and organized. The hosts were a treat and we are going back.

What a wonderful cabin in a beautiful and peaceful setting! We made use of all the spaces and amenities this cabin had to offer and could not be happier with our weekend away. The kitchen had everything we need to prepare our meals, the fireplace added a beautiful ambiance, and we dined al fresco for every meal with the sounds of birds and the river in the distance. We spent a spectacular afternoon lounging in the sun and swimming in the river which felt very private and secluded. It was our own little slice heaven. We filled the outdoor clawfoot tub with hot water and bubbles and had a very romantic moment looking out onto the forest through the hanging ivy. Our whole stay was fantastic and Carrie's communication was excellent the entire time. We will absolutely be coming back.

2 nights at Bohemian GrOOve

Awesome place and beautiful setting, which was made perfect by our host Lynda! From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure Lynda was always available and very helpful for any questions and assistance. The detail and fun that went in to this site is truly unique, fun, and peaceful. Lots of areas to relax alone or gather together. The creekside setting was gorgeous. The cabin was fully stocked and well set for anything you might need. We plan on coming back!

Sarah’s cabin was a cozy dream, beautiful house and hot tub tucked in the middle of the redwoods. Sarah was a quick communicator and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Walking distance to a Russian river beach if you ever get out of the hot tub!

Weekend Trip to The Egrets Nest

What a special spot - both inside and out we loved Camp Caz. Lounging by the river and exploring the banks with kids was super fun. We did s’mores outside, hung out in hammocks on the deck, grilled and after Al fresco. Inside was cozy and big bonus to have a full kitchen and bath in a remote setting. Highly recommend, perfect for a family of four.

What a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area! Our two kids (3 and 5), husband, pup and I had a wonderful time exploring the property and creek. Hammock time was very popular, too! It was clear from all the small touches around the cabin and property that the owners really care about and invest in the place. We will be back!

Egret's Nest is a peaceful, beautiful cabin. Laurel, the host was gracious and kind, and always responded to my messages. I appreciated this lovely, comfortable place to stay. I was at Spirit Rock for a meditation program and I recommend Egret's Nest for a single person or couple looking for an place to stay that's near Sp. Rock and affordable.

Weekend Trip to The Egrets Nest

Wonderful cottage in a garden next to Lagunitas Creek and Point Reyes! Very kind hostess with good local tips. Highly recommended.

This location is incredible and so well equipped! We stayed for 2 nights and it had everything we needed for a great time: bbq, fire pit, trail to the river, outdoor bathtub (with hot water!), a 5 min drive to the general store, and privacy from the outside world. I cannot recommend Carrie’s place enough 👍

Weekend Trip to Private Cabin (w/ hot tub & sauna)

Amazing place! The cabin was so well-maintained, and organized and well-stocked. The land was amazing with great creek walks for the kids. My 5 year old woke up in the middle of the night to tell me she didn't want to leave. Best Hipcamp experience we have had!

We were a group of 6 girls and had an incredible time in this cozy cabin nestled in the redwoods! The host has thought of everything - it was fully equipped with kitchen stuff and toiletries, and had super comfortable beds. We loved using the hot tub and sauna. Lastly, the location is perfect - you're walking distance to Rio Nido and a short drive to Guerneville and Armstrong Redwoods. Highly recommend!
