Karla's Hummingbird Rd. Guest Ranch

4 sites · Tents8 acres · Huachuca City, Cochise
Welcome to Karla's Hummingbird Rd Guest Ranch! I am located just over an hour away from Tucson, AZ. I purchased this property in 2020 and I have worked hard to turn it into something that others can enjoy! We are 10 minutes from Coronado National Forest. Enjoy spectacular views from the mountains, wander through the desert among the giant saguaro cactus and colorful wildflowers in the morning, linger over lunch beside a mountain stream or lake, and play in the snow all before the day's end. The property is tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. We have beautiful sunsets and views all around. You might see a lot of birds or quail on the property. Me and the neighbours all have 4 acres so no one is super close by. You can come here, walk or bike around, and walk your pets without being bothered by other dogs. This is a very safe and comfortable place for solo campers and families to enjoy! Each camper, tent, a place where people sleep is a campsite. Please don't book one tent site, say you have 2 vehicles, then the other vehicle is also a camper. That is TWO campsites. Look, I'm just a lady minding my own business, I keep a nice clean place, I work very hard, I give some lessons and I share my place with a few campers. Please don't cheat me out of camping sites. It's not cool. And it's rude. I wouldn't do it to you. If you have 2 families camping, they each have a tent and a car, that is TWO campers. I treat everyone well, I am not suspicious of people, I assume you are all grown-ups and will be fun guests. It's discouraging. I wonder who is raising these people. And I don't have to do this. I can shut my gates and have this place all to myself. Thank you. Important! Please don't post any photos of my place on my listing or in your review. I can't remove them, and they are usually bad photos. They are not helpful and they might show equipment I'd rather not have posted. Thank you.

Sanctuary at Sonoita Creek

4 sites · RVs1 acre · Patagonia, Santa Cruz
Sanctuary at Sonoita Creek was created as a place to enjoy the unique treasures of Patagonia, AZ.  We wanted to provide a haven for people who value the outdoors to gather and take advantage of the recreational aspects of the area and also be walking distance to town.  Our property was once a trailer court.  We've done a huge renovation to provide RV spaces, a vintage trailer rental and tent camping.

Thousand Oaks

2 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Patagonia, Santa Cruz
The home was built by my parents in ‘82. My Mom was an avid hiker and outdoors person. She collected and planted agave pups in the yard and tended to them over the years. Because they’re watered and the pups are removed each spring they continue to grow to mammoth size. Once they bloom the plant dies. 3 have bloomed, producing 40’ stalks. Agave Americana.Learn more about this land: Nestled in a canyon full of giant oak trees , you’ll be amazed that you’re in southern Arizona. The dirt road is ideal for walks and bicycle rides. The property is 4 miles from the town of patagonia, just 2 miles in from highway 82. Patagonia lake state park is 9 miles away. There is a hammock & picnic table in the upper yard surrounded by mammoth agave plants and oaks. There is much info online for visitors to this area including There are 2 sites available but I prefer not to rent them simultaneously, unless the groups are together since they’re very close together. ( not much privacy). THE 15 BEST Things to Do in Patagonia - 2021 (with Photos) -available at trip advisor online Look up Sky Islands Arizona - Discover Patagonia, Sonoita & Elgin Disclosure: I am a drummer and often have practice and rehearsals in my home. The basement is approx. 300 yards from the campsite.  There may be heard a thump thump in the distance at times.  Rehearsals never last after 8:30 pm Also I have 2 elderly cats that lounge around outside, usually pretty far from the site but free to wander during the day. (If you have a dog that adamantly chases cats with killer instinct , this could become a problem. )

Camp Etowa

6 sites · RVs, Tents15 acres · Bisbee, Cochise
Former ranch land in the historic old mining town of Bisbee, Arizona. Ongoing projects - restoring the orchard, growing new varieties of flowers, cacti and other drought tolerant plants that are "appropriate" for the high desert with Etowa Farms, harvesting and milling mesquite, irrigation, water harvesting, recycled bottle and can walls, composting and turning the corral into a music venue. We are committed to the wildlife and ecosystem at Camp Etowa and will be hosting a swap meet and sessions in sustainability, art, survival and wilderness medicine soon. We have two very friendly service dogs, an owl and a hawk that hang out with us, javalena, jack rabbits, mule deer, quail, doves and coyote that will sing to you on clear nights (sometimes even if it's cloudy). We love kids and dogs, but this is tuly wilderness; so be prepared to for the occasional encounter.

The Hills

5 sites · RVs10 acres · Benson, Pima
Learn more about this land:The Hills is 10 pristine acres in north east Pima county - Benson/Vail. Well graded roads, most of the way. Right around the corner from the Winery but, next to zero traffic! The rolling topography makes for very challenging hiking! Bring your quads and fly down these steep hills. If you're into something a bit more quiet this is a perfect place for wildlife viewing. This area boasts deer, jack rabbit, snakes, wild horses, cows and of course the occasional mountain lion! The Hills is a totally off the grid and completely undeveloped 10 acre parcel of land. Think boondocking! The road however, is pretty rough getting there. We STRONGLY recommend 4 wheel drive for your vehicles to be able to easily traverse the dirt and rocky roads. Google Maps has been giving bad directions as of late that will lead you to a dead end. Please refer to these directions in order to save yourself the hassle: 1. From Mescal Rd turn left on Salcido Ranch Road. 2. The road will curve and become Desert Sanctuary Rd, follow it until you reach Claras Way. Turn left. 3. Follow Claras Way as it curves, following the signs for Rancho Maria Vineyards. 4. Claras Way will eventually bump into Bell Rd at which point you will take a right. 5. Follow Bell Road until you come to a tire Bank on your right hand side. There will be one final sign for Rancho Maria Vineyard straight ahead. Take a left at the tire Bank to continue on Bell Rd. 6. The road becomes pretty rocky and you will want to veer to the right to avoid dips and holes. You will follow this road up as it bends left and again back to the right. Once you pass a large electrical pole you have entered The Hills. If you pass a fence with a small red camper affixed to the post you have left our property and are now in a natural gas line area. Don't do that!
