Please, PLEASE watch your small pets carefully. If you're traveling with cats, please keep them on a lead. There is a riding academy and boarding facility adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders, hikers and cyclists to travel along the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood, a pleasant 30 minute walk through lush riparian area. Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream. Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. Weekend Trip to Sacred Springs-Private creek access

Gary and Daren go above and beyond to accommodate and make the experience even better. Beautifully located with every amenity you can ask for from firewood to kayaks to use. The property is well maintained and the trail to the creek is easy enough to navigate but you do have to watch your step. Only stayed one night which I wish was longer. Weekend Trip to Bradshaw Mountains Basecamp

The hostess was super cool, be cool and respectful. I made a last minute reservation after finding the road to my property impassable. She responded quickly and has a great place to park with room to maneuver bigger rigs. She has 30amp power and potable water and she allows a pet. The property sits between Dewey and Humbolt, 1 mile to Dewey about 5 minutes to Humbolt and 15 to Prescott Valley. Eventhough off main rd to I17, I found it very quiet once it got dark. Thank you Emily, it was a nice respite after 2 long days on the road,.....and off the road, no pun intended, lol!

What a beautiful and welcoming space. Gary and Daren were incredible hosts. Greeted upon arrival with a tour of the space. Beautiful views and countless amenities. The outdoor shower with Mountain View was exactly what i needed after my drive. The stargazing was absolutely breathtaking. Coffee, fresh eggs and countless other wonderful things complimentary with your stay. I’m sad I was only there one night and couldn’t explore more but I absolutely will be back.
