Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security. We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase. 0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September. 10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa. Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. Cell reception in the area is decent. I had access to TMobile data from the property the last time I was there though not all areas of the park have the same luxury. City folk (like it seems I have sadly become these days) often forget what a beautiful starry night sky can look like. One clear night here and you'll see a sky full of stars, the milky way, planets and maybe a shooting star. As a International Dark Sky Park, the parks nightscape falls on the Bortel scale of 3 (1 being darkest and 9 being brightest). For more info go to www.nps.gov/pefo/learn/nature/darkskies Outside of the Petrified Forest National Park in Holbrook, we recommend visiting Jim Gray's Petrified Wood Co. and the Navajo County Historical Society Museum. Nearest gas can be found at the Painted Desert Visitor Center or west down I-40 toward Holbrook at the Hopi Travel Plaza. In Holbrook, groceries can be found at Safeway and local restaurants include Camaleon Cafe, Butterfield Stage Co. Steak House and Mandarin Beauty and host of other Mexican and American restaurants. Trucks do come down Adamana Rd to the storage facility during the week though you probably won't hear or see them much. The train can be a bit loud and obnoxious for some (or a something exciting for the kids) depending on how frequently it passes through so ear plugs at night may be advised. Dope primitive camping and spot easy access with an suv or bigger. You can literally see petrified forest from the campsite he’s not lying— front row seats. The train being close was annoying but earplugs I think would make it fine. Read all the description and rules etc and you’ll be just fine. Brett gave great directions and was very responsive. The site was as advertised - dry camping with no facilities, but the price was fair. The train tracks are right at the property boundary, but we were prepared based on the reviews and in the end it the train noise wasn’t as bad as we thought. There were few trains that came through the night but since neither of us had trouble falling back to sleep it wasn’t much of a bother. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be for you,

Looks like a road you shouldn’t be on. Train ran by every 15-30 minutes just 50 yards from the fence boundary for the Petrified forest park where this camp spot is. It’s a small drive to the Park’s north or south entrance. 2wd is just fine. Room to stretch. Trains were loud and awesome! For $15/night we will look it up again.

Love, love this experience! First time camping with my two donkeys! Sara is awesome and so very helpful! My granddaughters were able to just wander the property safely, sometimes riding and others hiking. The setup is perfect and easy with the corral right in camp. 5 nights at MOUNTAIN DESTINY!

Richard and his lovely wife were the most wonderful hosts. The site was clean. Instructions were clear. Electric, water, and sewer hookup were all fabulous. The RV site has a gentle slope but my levelers fixed that up no problem. We also had the treat of garden fresh lettuce for our tacos and burgers from these generous hosts! I loved visiting the chickens, goats, and rabbits everyday. Walking the dogs at night was a special treat because it is so dark and quiet in their neighborhood. We could see the milky way! I have another trip to the area in a month and will definitely be looking at this site. My only regret is not having enough time to chat more with Richard and his sweet wife. Hopefully next time!

Weekend Trip to MOUNTAIN DESTINY!

Our 2 and 4 yr old loved the dirt piles, rocks, rabbits, goats, and chickens. They have already asked if we can stay again! Mr. Richard and his wife were a joy to chat with. We even got to enjoy the rodeo down the road. Highly recommend.

It is exactly as stated. A high clearance vehicle is recommended. If you have an issue with trains, please do not book this site. Good location to Petrified Forest National Park.

Sara was such a gracious host! Communication with her was exceptional. The property and campsite exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the Juniper Berry Campsite with E/W in our 35’ fifth wheel. Easy pull-in site that was positioned on a circular drive which made it easy to park and easy to exit. Our cats loved exploring the property and became curious friends with Hamish (Scottish Highland bull) and his companion, Little Fergie. Thank you very much Sara for sharing your property with us!
