I arrived late in the evening and left early in the am. I didn't get to see the many features of this camp.
NIck was gracious enough to come out and check on me as I was getting settled in the only spot where the scrubby grass wasn't too tall. The plot had plenty of room, but in the dark it was hard to make out the lay of the land.
It was a little out of the way from the 70 going toward Denver, but the GPS coordinates take you exactly to the property, and you get some of that time back by getting the 70 as it comes to meet up with the 36.
In all, a well spent $13 for a good nights' sleep after a long day of driving.

It was a very chill and remote site, almost an hour off of the highway. If you've gone 30 minutes without seeing another car and you think your lost, your in the right place. Just on his land you set up your tent or RV kinda wherever. Bathroom is in an old RV that while I was there didn't have working water do get ready to ruff it. And the main reason I wrote this review, it's not a murder spot and it's cheap with only a pretty view to accompany you so why not. Plus the owner is chill

Staying at Rick's was a great stop on our roadtrip out west. It offered amazing sight lines and we felt safe as some storms rolled in. Rick greeted us shortly after we arrived to run through the bathroom trailer and water setup. He then returned with the storms to show us the best coverage if the weather took a turn. But we had a clear night and had a chorus of coyotes. Dogs loved chasing the crickets down the long drive and the wildflowers that lined it were gorgeous. We were so happy we choose Rick's place to stay on our journey

I thought this was a great camp. The stars were spectacular, the view of the west with the clouds moving towards was stunning. Rick was a great host, touched base with us, told us about his property's history. I will definitely stay here again.

Rick’s place is very remote. Quiet! Great star gazing. It has all we needed.
Rick meet us & showed us around, which was huge because we got there after dark. In the morning, he brought us bagels! Very accommodating guy!

Unique and historic farm on the plains. Rick is friendly and accommodating. The land and camping was quiet and peaceful. Nice sunrise and sunsets on the open plain.

Rick was extremely kind. Ty e place offers amazing views with cows and kitties walking on the property. We ended up not being able to tent camp that night because of a crazy hail storm that went through. But Rick offered us several options to keep us safe. Had the weather been good we definitely would have stayed the night.

We loved staying here! We set up our tent right at the top of the hill, and took a walk back down the road to stretch our legs a bit. His land is picturesque, with rolling hills and cows. Plus the sunset was beautiful. The wifi was really helpful for planning the next leg of our journey.
Rick and his wife are great hosts. They gave us yummy muffins and a helpful weather update on the storms rolling through! 10/10 would recommend!!

Camping out here was a real treat! It's a beautiful country area and quiet if you're looking for a peaceful trip. We got to see lots of wild rabbits and even met some amazing fellow traveller's as they were camping on the property nearby. The campsite was great and it was helpful that a bathroom and running water were on location. The morning we left, we were having Car troubles that had left us stranded on the side of the road, nearby the campsite. We didn't have phone reception and Rick and his family (his Wife and Brother-in-law) went out of their way to help us! John, Rick's Brother-in-law, was kind enough to drive us to town to get a new fan belt and he helped us put it on. He stayed with us until he knew we were safe and able to get help as there was something else wrong with the car that caused the fan belt issue. They let us use their phone to call AAA and they even offered to drive us into town if the tow truck driver couldn't. Rick even offered to let us stay in a camper with A/C until the tow truck showed up because it was a hot day. When the tow truck did show up, Rick came down to make sure we were taken care of and safe. We could not believe how kind they were to complete strangers and are more than lucky that we were at this spot when we broke down. We highly recommend staying here and will never forget how good the host and his family were to us!

I car camped two nights throughout the week & I really enjoyed my stays at this spot! It was the perfect space for me to stop for the evening. I had access to a toilet in an old camper & was able to comfortably rest & work out of my car. Rick & the people living there permanently were very kind, as were the pets! I would definitely stay here again.

Rick went above and beyond making sure the directions to his place were clear for us to follow. We went in the March during the off season when the temps were still below freezing and Rick went out of his way to do all he could in providing us with a working toilet. If it wasn't so cold I would have loved to walk around seeing the old cars and farm equipment on the property. Unfortunately
do to how late we arrived and how early we left we did not get to meet Rick, but he
was still very responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend

Popped in for a night on the way to Denver and had a nice time. Rick is very helpful and nice, gave me fresh eggs, and spent time chatting with me about the various antiques on the property. Electricity and water, beautiful sunset, and my dog loved roaming around the campsite. Would stay again when I’m in the area. Thanks Rick!

Great stopover on your way to Denver. Rick was a really nice guy and brought us fresh eggs upon arrival. We needed a battery jump with our Truck and Rick was there to help. The site was pretty level. AT&T service was great. I recommend this place.

Rustic and secluded. Animals grazing. Wide open space. Rick was kind and welcoming. He gave us some of his farm fresh eggs. There is a bathroom in an old abandoned trailer. You fill it with water yourself but water is available. Really beautiful place. A lot of random junk around but it kinda adds to the charm.
