Joel is a good guy. He is very accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. Site is eclectic, quiet and very convenient to area attractions, stores, etc. I booked another stay later this month. Slept great!

The was a great spot for us to set-up and explore San Diego. It was also great for the dogs, who could run free in the space and play with all the other camper's dogs. The toilet doesn't have a door and the shower is pretty open, so beware that you'll need a buddy to be on the lookout for people coming by if you're on the shy side.

We needed a place in Chula Vista for appointments. Super pleased with Joel our host. Really low key atmosphere. We have a large class b van and had no issues. Slightly awkward entrance, just approach slowly and turn gently.

Camping on Joel's Land was all together great.
tent camping I give a 4 out of 5 only because I realized I suck at tents, all joking aside there where a few accomodations Joel was able to provide to improve my camping experience.
The camp in general is well kept together and has great management, at the time of this writing 23JUL2024 the camp has some new features that are in the process of installation and I can't wait for my return to see it finished.
Joel is a kind man with a big dream, the vision he has for this place is wonderful and the progress he has made shows. He is a great local guide and knows the good spots so don't let the opportunity for good food slip bye.

We enjoyed out stay very much. Joel was around often and was very responsive to requests and available for friendly chit-chats. Loved the full hook up. I was a little confused on the listing if all the sites had full hook-up. So I opted for the highest price, and an add-on I didn’t quite understand that sounded like in guaranteed full hookup. Loved the location close enough to the ocean to have the cool climate (5 miles or so, as the crow fly's?). Just what we came to the San Diego area for, to escape the AZ summer heat for a while. This location Joel has is like a mini-Rural environment hidden in a heavily urban area. The closest Ocean is Imperial Beach. About a 20-min drive. This location is about 3 miles from Mexico. So if you go to a store in the area, English Speakers are definitely in the minority. The turn into the access road is hard to find, we missed it the first time. And the access road is a bit of a tight squeeze for a larger RV. Had to get out to make sure I was clearing over-hanging trees. But I think even a large Rig can be wiggled through. Over all a great stay and we would definitely com back.

Great spot in Chula Vista! Feels like it’s in the country side but located in the middle of the city. We were close to everything. Place is a work in progress but has hook-ups and it is nice & quiet. Joel is an amazing host, very friendly and responsive.

The place was great, the host was super available, we had a small issue with electrical which the host fixed for us right away! And without anyone asking for it, he refunded the electricity due to the issue. And by the way the trees are not I repeat NOT too short, there is plenty of space to pass thru with a big ol RV

Joel was a very good host. Easy to get to and he was very responsive and helpful to get us set up on a late Friday night. Very quiet and private. Would definitely recommend Joel if you’re looking for something off the beaten path.

Joels cg is close to the sea and the beaches, close to Mexico and very close to San Diego . The place is not very big,but
quiet and well equipped for RV's.There is water, elektricity and a dump for grey and black water. From this place it is easy to go to the beaches or to center of SanDiego.When we arrived, toilet and douche were under construction (and will be ready soon)
Joel is a very friendly and helpful person. It is easy and nice talking with him. He gives information about where to eat and where to go. We liked him very much.
