Serenity on the Saluda

2 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Honea Path, SC
Just a small piece of God's creation right on the Saluda River. Come and enjoy the solitude and serenity of this spot on the Saluda River, surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and farms. Camp on the river, in the field or overlook the river from the high bluff in the old growth forest.  The gravel road going down to the river is finished, I drive my Honda Civic down daily and no issues (very low clearance). Kayaking from Holiday Dam to the camp site is incredible. The trip takes about 3.5 hours with lots of shoals and rapids. You can also kayak or tube from the camp site to Erwin Mill bridge in a little over an hour. This is more of a river float with just a couple rapids, but equally as beautiful.

3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

14 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · Anderson, SC
This Property was purchased by Grandfather in the 70s  and then was passed to my Mother. In 2013 I decided to live life differently and start from the ground up building with natural materials and found materials. At that time I was fortunate enough to have the land passed to me and I started building a home for myself and to be close to my mothers home nearby. After achieving the basics I decided that the best use of this beautiful land was to create a place for people to relax and enjoy, a park like environment dedicated to preserving natural beauty and amplifying it through a permaculture lifestyle. 8 years later I am blown away at how far the dream has become a reality and love sharing my space with people from all over the country.

The Boondocks

4 sites · Tents20 acres · Antreville, SC
The Boondocks is 20 acres of nature-lover’s paradise — a place to come to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! It currently offers 3 primitive walk-in tent campsites on the Rocky River with shared access to Governor's Creek. If you are looking for a new adventure - bring your jon boats, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and/or pedal boats to put in on the river for a day of boating! The river flows into Lake Secession which could make for a full weekend of exploring the area. For larger boats, the Lake Secession Boat Landing is only 5.5 miles away. You can park your boat trailer there or bring it back to The Boondocks. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway - just bring your fishing pole and watch the sun rise and set on the water! Our sites are large enough to make it feel like there is no one around! Find your favorite spot within the 1 acre sites and set up for a quiet and peaceful weekend! HISTORY OF THE LAND: You are free to roam the 28 acres which includes a large creek with small waterfalls throughout. On your stroll throughout the property you will encounter different species of wildlife including but not limited to birds, rabbits, squirrels, and white-tailed deer. The Boondocks was once home to Native Americans and you can find evidence of that throughout the property. It's rumored that it was also once home to a post office during the Pony Express era. You will find remnants of the post office's foundation on the property. When we purchased this land back in 2018, we were told that it was also rumored to be where Manse Jolly hid his treasure. After much searching, we've found no treasure but it's fun to think it may have once been a place for such history!! LOCATION: The exact location of The Boondocks will be disclosed after booking, along with a site map showing you clear instructions on how to locate your site! PARKING: There is parking on or nearby each site but these are walk-in tent sites only due to the nature of the terrain. Common dangers in our area that Hipcampers should be aware include but are not limited to things such as ticks, wild animals, poison oak, dangerous drop-offs, strong currents, and weather risks. DISCLAIMERS - 1. THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY AND TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED. YOU MUST HAVE A RESERVATION WITH SOUTHEAST CAMP AND TRAVEL, LLC THROUGH HIPCAMP TO BE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. 2. 1 site · RV8 acres · Simpsonville, SC
Our property is behind a one street neighborhood that is off of another 2 street neighborhood. Far away from the city yet close enough to not have to drive forever to go to the store, we found this property while looking for hunting land. With only the barn and it's 1 bedroom apartment built, we decided that this land and it's barn wasn't a hunting camp but our new home! We moved our family of 4 into the one bedroom apartment and took 6 years to build our home, the main house on the property. Since, we've added a tiny house, a pole barn with a permanent RV under it, 2 RV sites off of the barn and cleared an area perfect to pitch a tent and enjoy the fire pit, all within a 5 to 15 minute drive to stores and entertainment.  Learn more about this land:Our property is behind a small neighborhood, bordered by private, undeveloped land on all sides, featuring a beautiful farm pond stocked with fish! Bring your fishing pole! (We're catch and release only though!) RV sites are pull through and are located beside the barn with electrical and water hookups! Tent camping is available anywhere on our 8 acres but there's spots right on the pond!

Wildcat Outpost

1 site · RV, Tent13 acres · Central, SC
Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.
