The Seneca Treehouse Project is a small scale homestead & permaculture demonstration site designed to help our guests build resilience & live in harmony with our planet. 

We invite you to tour the gardens and share what you learn with your friends and family.  

By staying with us, in addition to enjoying the space, you are contributing to the development of Treehouse Trade School, dedicated to hands on learning opportunities for regenerative development. 

Enjoy the lake, forest, and gardens on site, and with a short trip, you can visit the hikes, waterfalls, breweries, and restaurants in the golden corner of South Carolina!

 Free use of kayaks and a canoe on an undeveloped 18 acre lake is included when you camp here.  Several miles of trails, dirt roads and streams wind through hundreds of acres which you are free to explore.  

The property has been owned by members of our family for 75 years or more with areas of it family-owned since the 1800's. A large portion of the property is dedicated to sustainable loblolly pine forests dating back to the 1980's.  A significant area of the property is dedicated to native hardwood forest and has some of the oldest and largest white oak, poplar, elm and shortleaf pines in the upstate.  The remainder of the property is pasture; home to Black Angus cattle.  We look forward to sharing this unique property with you!

Craytonville Campsite

When you lay your head on our property you will be laying your head on Cherokee land. The property is at the meeting place of five soperate trails of the Cherokee, which is why it is called Trail Rd. Across the street you may pull water from the old well which has recently been restored. Craytonville is the town that grew up around the well, and used to be the stomping grounds of John C. Calhoune and for many years was believed to be the place where Abraham Lincoln's parents met. This was believed until 2015 when DNA disproved the rumor, but still the rumor is absolutely fascinating! South Carolina recently named the campsite property as a historical landmark. So, bring the metal detectors! You may find an arrowhead!Learn more about this land:We have four acres but are adjoined to a 500 acre farm where you will see cattle grazing and other beautiful country sights. We have goats in the barn you may feed and pet as well as feeding the chickens and using any eggs you find. Its winter so you may not get many right now.

Camp@Castaway/Lake Hartwell

Camp at Castaway! Very nice and level pull through campsites to enjoy while visiting Lake Hartwell. The sites are only 1/4 mile to Broyle's Landing and Recreation Area where you will find 3 boat landing strips, a very nice beach area, children's playground and fishing pier. It's only 15 miles to Clemson, SC and Anderson, SC. Full hookups. Fire pit. Small creek on property behind campsite within walking distance.
