The blue basin was beautiful in person and clean. We would definitely come back again. Very family friendly. Plenty of space for kids to run around, playground, and tubes/paddle boats were provided for the water. Outhouses were clean and within good walking distance.
While very spacious, I can’t say waterfront tent site 2 gave us the privacy we had hoped for, the two sites were maybe 100-200ft apart. We would actually recommend waterfront tent site 1 over waterfront site 2, especially for those with children. We say this because the fire pit was close to the slope for site 2 (which may not be safe for kids), site 1 was closer to the outhouse, directly in front of the playground, and closer to a dock. Site 1 also had more wood available and their tiki torches worked.
If you’re looking for plenty of land to run around with activities and something fun for the kids, this is your spot. If you’re looking for something more private and quiet, this may not be it.
Overall we hope to come back with a bigger group and rent both sites. Would definitely recommend Amber’s land. She even came to greet us which was nice.

Our site was secluded and clean! Had. A small stream with waterfall and was wonderful to sleep beside! Hosts were amazing, they brought firewood to us and let us use their mattresses pump super nice place and people!

Weekend Trip to Bear Run Farms
If I had one last day on earth- my dying wish would be to spend it here. I chose this site for my 51st birthday and the universe aligned with this beautiful place. What a gorgeous, serene, and breathtaking view of the pond, the windmills, the rolling hills, the fuzzy adorable cows and geese. I felt like I was in Abruzzo, Italy the woods and the breeze felt just like it! <3
Amber is so welcoming and fantastic, and the cabin is so cozy and perfect. I only counted sleeps and lost complete track of time, a perfect place to write and paint.
I recommend bringing a strong battery light and a shortwave radio. I gazed among an ocean of stars, I forgot how stunning the sky can be without light pollution.
Thank you Amber, for hosting a spot where I could truly rest and breathe as a solo traveler, I hope to return every year for my birthday <3
Seriously, any solo travelers considering this idyllic hideaway, you need this and deserve it.

Weekend Trip to Bear Run Farms
This place is amazing! Not only are you getting great accommodations but you’re getting two great hosts. Larry and Amber are fantastic. We stayed in the Overlook Cabin, two bunk beds with trundle beds underneath, extremely clean and cozy with an assortment of amenities. Water bottles, cups, candles, plenty of blankets and pillows, bug spray and some grilling equipment. Propane heater inside was wonderful! You also have two picnic tables outside, chairs and a propane grill. The outhouse was amazingly clean! 10/10, can’t wait to go back! We had a blast!

Warm, cozy cabin with a unique view—blue blue blue clear lake, moonrise over the ridge line, and a bird’s eye view of windmills! Hosts put in a lot of effort on little comforts, like a rocking chair, hammock, tiki torches, and solar powered lights. Outhouse clean and pleasant. Super comfy bed. You can see the other campsites in the winter but they’re unobtrusive. Wonderful spot!

I stayed at Sarah Cabin during a snowfall, and it was a great experience. The cabin had a propane heater, which kept it warm inside even though it was below zero degrees Fahrenheit outside. The snow was falling softly, creating a beautiful winter scene.
The cabin was clean and had everything I needed. The heater worked really well, and I was always warm. It was quiet and peaceful, with snow all around. Even though it was cold outside, I felt cozy inside the cabin.
I recommend Sarah Cabin Campsite if you want to enjoy a snowy winter getaway and stay warm in a nice, comfortable cabin. Just remember to bring warm clothes for outside, and you’ll have a great time!

Weekend Trip to Glamping on Timber Ridge
Cozy little tiny house! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here. Accommodations were as described with the exception of the hot tub which appears to have been upgraded from the inflatable one shown in the pictures! Hot tub was plenty hot and we enjoyed it for a good 25 minutes each night during our stay in late fall! The place was easy to find based on the directions given. Be prepared to have absolutely zero cell service, though we were able to get a few texts out via satellite reception on our cell phones.

Our recent stay at this campground was nothing short of amazing! The location was beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained, offering the perfect setting for a cozy weekend escape. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible hospitality we received.

Beautiful waterfall site! They didn’t tell us about the cows, but they were an added plus and the best part! (Aside from the waterfall) Were able to watch the cows play, there was a pond to go paddle boating or swimming, and an awesome playground! Porter potties were very clean. Will be back! The owners were so kind and very helpful! They offered to change our tent spot to another one saying they think we will like it more, and offered to get us wood, but we brought plenty. It was nice to know we had it as an option for backup from them though!
Only about a 25 minute drive to blackwater falls area. Beautiful property that is also a cow farm! Just be mindful if you have off leash dogs that might get spooked or approach the cows (they did say there are roaming animals so no concern here! My dog just sat and watched them). The cows did spook us in the middle of the night at 2 am so just be aware they are near the sites sometimes 😊 we didn’t mind at all though and it was a good laugh.
A little bit off of a backroadish highway, so we did hear a little bit of road noise every once in a while (mostly just a couple of semi’s) incase you’re expecting complete in the woods silence at night. Overall such a great stay and we will hopefully be back!! It really felt private and safe

The site was wonderful. My dad and I had a great time camping here. It was a really nice perk that a full wood pile was right next to our camp for our fire. Facilities were all very clean and well maintained. The host on arrival was very gracious and helpful as well as her partner checking in and introducing himself the following day. I would highly recommend this site to anyone.

Weekend Trip to Bear Run Farms
When we arrived the door was unlocked-ready to go and the cabin smelled like fresh wood and mint. It was so lovely. The propane heater in the evening kept us toasty as we slept. The fire pit out front was the perfect thing for the chilly windy air! I am glad I brought 3 extra bags of wood as we sat outside most of the evening. The bed inside was so comfy and we had a great nights sleep-overall we had a blast! I celebrated my birthday in a wonderful little cabin
