We absolutely loved this experience !!!!
Teala was more than happy to help us load up our things into their sxs and bring it down to our site for us, get us a few other things we needed, and make sure we had everything we needed.
The quiet, peacefulness and beauty of this property is indescribable. The stars, crickets, trees… breathtaking!
The next morning before we left we got to hang out with the farm animals, and our dogs were welcomed to meet the goats, chickens, pigs and more.
Teala made us and our dogs feel very comfortable and welcomed and it was least stressed I have ever felt on a camping trip.
Definitely will be returning!!!!

Hillside Point Campsite
My friend and I loved camping on Teala's property! Teala was amazing throughout the entire experience by making sure we had everything we needed and checking in on us (which was especially nice during a rain storm). The campsites are amazing and are spread nicely apart from one another, thus are great if you're looking to have some privacy while camping. Overall, I would highly recommend camping here! I'll definitely be back!

We had such a fun stay at Teala's. She made hike-in camping luxurious with a ride down to our site with our gear, a great spot to set up our tent and a nearby outhouse. The animals were fun greeters, we even bought some more eggs to go! We did a day trip to Dollar Lake (10 min away) for paddling, which was lovely. And Teala was great to give us a heads up about possible washouts as we arrived a day after local flooding. Will definitely stay again.

I've camped all around NS, and this place is my new favorite!! Super private and the hosts were wonderful!

We absolutely loved our weekend at Hillside point!
If you are looking for private backwoods camping not too far from the city, this is the spot!
The hosts were the finest kind! Teala and Brittney brought all of our gear to and from the site on the side by side and were there if we needed anything. They were both so nice.
The property is amazing, the views, the wildlife everything was just what I needed and was looking for. I loved being able to purchase a load of fire wood to get us started and then we chose to forage for wood with the axe that was provided on the site. We were able to go in and visit with the goats, pigs, chickens and Jacob the turkey who live on the property. It’s a beautiful homestead just a few minutes drive from Dollar lake. It was great to pop out and enjoy the beach in the hot weather.
We are rejuvenated from our weekend stay and I cannot wait to return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful land with us. I would highly recommend 10 out of 10!

Hillside Point Campsite
We had an absolutely amazing time here! The camping area is awesome and Teala is so welcoming and helpful with everything you could possibly need! It’s the perfect in between of back woods camping feel but still close to everything! I would 100% come back and recommend to anyone looking for a great tenting spot! :)
