This was one of the original homesteads in the Margarees. There was an old sawmill on site which was used to build the house and barn. It was sold to a man who started renovations for a summer house but ended up listing it for sale. I purchased it and completely renovated the 100-year-old house. Shortly after, my brother and I started an outfitting company with no plan of building a campground, but in 2017 we saw a great opportunity for building something unique. We wanted to keep a backwoods camping feel, but yet create it around a hostel-inspired environment. We launched June 1, 2018 and are in full swing now. At the other side of the harbour is Ingonish Ferry. At one time the road around the harbour did not exist. People, horses and goods came across the bar by means of a ferry. There were many wharves with wooden ships tied up.
The long white building on the corner used to be on the bar.
A walk along the bar will award you with a view of the Keltic Lodge. Continue straight at the corner and you will find a trail that will take you to Ingonish beach.

This is a sweet little property of approximately an acre, though the whole lake is undeveloped. The site is treed with mostly mature trees and overlooks Little Robertson Lake. The lake is close, but the shoreline is not extremely easy to access. This campsite is private, but not remote. It is located close to a byway and you can drive in. There is not too much traffic on the adjacent road which leads to several white sand ocean beaches and trails along with Keji Seaside National Park and Thomas Raddall Provincial Park. All within a few minutes drive.

This is one of the original properties for the area. Owned by one lovely family since the 1700's until your current (very lucky) host. The house was the post office from 1861 to 1961. One of the rooms was the hospice for the area... SPOOOOOKY!!!
There is a culvert from the 1700's on the property from where the province moved the highway sometime before the 40's. Neat!
Reggie took over ownership in 2020 and is keeping things as original as possible, but adding his touch, like his battle axe travel trailer, Franny, which makes her home in the driveway. She's worth a visit!
- TENT ADVANCED LEVEL LAKESIDE is by far the most beautiful; however, it is a small area, located on the edge of the property, and I can't be responsible for the neighbours to a certain extent.
Fort Nova is your home for as long as you choose. Let's get campy!
**KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE MAY BE OTHERS STAYING THERE** But there are multiple areas to choose from, including: the lawn, living amongst the pines, a forest clearing, or even lakeside (it's rough back there). You can have complete privacy and feel free to reach out to me at the house if you need anything.
For those with RV's, there is an exterior outlet and a water spigot, but please remember, others might be staying there so we need to play nice and share!
On the property, there is:
- A decent-sized lake (I wish I had a canoe... :( )
- 1700's abandoned bridge
- Lots of foraging (Won't be held liable if ya eat something silly!)

**The road to my property is open, Google is wrong**
Nestled in a quaint old Fishing Town is a 4-Acre Forest property that hasn’t been touched since 1885!
This land overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, with a 25ft bank at the edge of the property, and almost 200ft of stone beach!
No potable water on this property (well water is available by hose for cooking/cleaning/showering), but 10 minutes by car, you’ll find a Sobeys, a pub, a Home Hardware, and small local shops that carry camping supplies and so much more!
There is a composting toilet being built, please either bury the bag when you are done, or double bag it and leave it in the garbage box at the end of the driveway.
As a septic system is now on the property, I am unable to provide access to the waterfront campsite for camp-cars/RVs/trailers.
30 min drive away is the infamous Martinique Beach, a very popular surfing spot!
Lots of hiking and site seeing available nearby as well.
A long driveway is the entry point to the camping site.
All I ask is that each camper leave the property better than they found it. As you depart, another camper is most likely arriving, so please keep that in mind.
Enjoy the peace under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze!

There is currently a Tiny Home on the property being built, and it is currently occupied by the property owner full-time.
Garbage pick-up in this area only allows one black plastic bag to be removed every 2 weeks. If your garbage is in a clear bag the city will take it and you can put your sealed garbage in a clear bag in the wood box at the end of the driveway. The city ONLY takes clear bags. Recycling is allowed in blue bags.
Due to this restriction, I am not able to handle all the campers garbage -- please take any that you create with you if you do not have clear bags.
If any camper is found to have stayed past the checkout time, they will be charged for another night's stay.

We own 58 acres of forest centered on a very old shale pit near Crescent Beach, Nova Scotia. Our long-term mission is to regenerate the landscape, returning all of the property to a forest in time. We hope to establish small camping compounds for family, friends and guests who would like to stay with us and enjoy the amazing scenery of Nova Scotia's beautiful South Shore.
Located just below Huey Lake, our property is watered by a stream that flows from the lake, through a series of tiny waterfalls in a gorge, through beautiful pine, maple, and oak forest down to a meandering wetland that drains into the Petite Riviere watershed.
Beavers are active in the area and have already begun the process of returning the old quarry to the wilderness. Their activities have created deep ponds where once there was a pit dug from the land for the shale that is abundant in this area. The beavers dammed and diverted the stream which has created a pond and wetland system at the lower end of the property. If you are very quiet in the early morning you may get to see Castor as he busily swims about his watery home.
Located near some of the most beautiful features of Lunenburg County, our property is a 5-minute drive from Crescent Beach, Risser's Beach Provincial Park, and Petite Riviere. Opportunities to cycle, hike, swim, canoe, kayak, surf and sail are all around us.

After a busy day spent exploring the valley, enjoy gazing up at the milky way (stargazing is incredible here with some of the darkest skies in North America) next to a crackling campfire. Fall asleep to the sounds of our brooks' gentle burbling, and coyotes howling in the distance.

We had a great time on the Hollow Brook Farm! When we arrived we immediately felt very welcome. The campsite is next to the brook, with a view on the pastures with the horses and sheep. Alexa, one of the owners, recommended a lot of things to do in the area. Also on the property there was lots of nature so see and explore. A real hidden gem in Nova Scotia!

Awesome place to stay and the owner is great too! He is a well of information on the surrounding area if you want spots to explore. The facilities are great with the bathrooms/showers/dishwashing area. The lots are huge, we were 2 who pulled in and we were able to park so we were door to door (trailers) with lots of space.

Friendly staff, great location (make sur eyou visit Egypt Falls, a 20 min drive away), very spacious campground, clean outhouses and dish washing facility. Drinking water provided in canisters - always filled with fresh water. unfortunately the electric set up for the waterpump of the 2 outdoor showers is "experimental" with broken solar panel and empty car battery, so no warm water for me on 2 out of 3 days (when I wanted to have a shower). Staff kept trying to fix it though and it worked intermittently. Free coffee and starlink wifi at the reception were much appreciated (by the coffeine and the wifi junkies in the family ;-)).
Rentals on site also a plus!

Absolutely gorgeous view from our campsite on Dan's land. Very private and peaceful. Dan was there to great us which was very helpful in getting set up. We have a 29FT trailer and it was a bit challenging to level on the sloped lot but Dan provided lots of lumber pieces to help level our trailer. The campsite had a fire pit with firewood and a brand new outhouse! Highly recommend Dan's Fraserville property to camp if youre looking for privacy and gorgeous views. Also a bonus is its only 10 minutes to Advocate which has gas bar and groceries and restaurant.

We were in need of a transition camping space for one night to charge our batteries and discovered this little gem. It is incredibly well maintained / set-up, including water, power and wireless internet. The hosts were responsive to our questions and then also provided us with privacy to enjoy the site.
The walking trail (cross Canada trail) was convenient for walking the dogs but we did have several side by sides on the trail until 11pm which is the only downside to this site.
I will add that it's only minutes from Lawrencetown Beach and we made our way into town the next morning for surf lessons and an ice coffee at the Lawrencetown Cafe.

I loved my stay at Lee’s place! The sites were well equiped with each a picnic table and fireplace, some sites even had wooden platform. The bathroom area was clean and the outdoor shower was awesome! It even had hot water! I stayed for three nights and it was pretty calm and peaceful! The view of the mountain was gorgeous, especially in the morning with the fog! I left early in the morning, so i didn’t have the chance to enjoy it, but they even have coffee at the shop! The staff was very kind! I highly recommend to stay at Lee’s place.

Ryan’s land is in a quiet location and is beautifully landscaped. Lovely flowers and shrubs abound. Lot 1 is a stones throw from the Blueberry hiking and biking trail that runs for miles through the woods and along the coast. Spectacular. Ample space for the dog to run
There is a screened gazebo where my wife did yoga and a chiminea with a well stocked wood bin!
