The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights. NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. It is fully insulated with a wood stove so this area may be used year round. The annex gives one a deeper feeling of being a part of the woods.

The beach is sandy at low tide and ideal for swimming, canoeing, bird watching, etc. The wood lot has a cabin on it and groomed walking trails. It is inhabited by a wide variety of wildlife. The property on the beach is bordered by a small brook and a variety of water fowl come to feed, rest and bathe. Nova Scotia can be seen on the horizon.

Welcome to "Happy Camping" We are located on the beautiful Northumberland Strait, which boasts the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. When the tide is out you can walk on the sand bars for hours. Here you will enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We are only 15 minutes from the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia is only half an hour away if you want to go exploring. Also, you might like to try your luck fishing sea bass. Legal catch size is 50 to 65 centimeters. Our large beach front sites easily accomodate RVs and motor homes. Sites 1,2,3,and 10 are not available as they have been booked for seasonal campers. We have 10 open sites. We allow one camping unit per site. We are OPEN despite the current issues. No fires are allowed due to provincial bans. Enjoy the quiet skyline and maybe even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . You can also explore New Brunswick with a drive on Acadian Coastal Drive ·Appalachian Range Route · Fundy Coastal Drive · Miramichi River Route or Fundy Coastal Drive Stop by and visit Murray Corner Provincial park for a swim and watch the tide roll out. Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires. The perfect mix of camp and glamp with privacy, peace and serenity. This is a great spot for a couple, friends or young family to enjoy the outdoors together. With animals on the farm, trails on the property, location close to Amherst and attentive hosts, you can't get much better than this! Bring some sunscreen, bugspray and smore stuff for the ultimate unwind and relaxing time. This was a beautiful solo and safe getaway if you just want some time to yourself. I will definitely be back if I ever need some time alone to journal and read. Thanks again!

We had such a fantastic stay at this off-grid cabin. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the cabin was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. It was spotless, cozy, and perfectly tucked away in the trees for a peaceful getaway. We loved the firepit, the nearby trails, the open field, and especially the pet emus — such a fun and memorable touch. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and relax in nature! Amenities just a few minutes away makes this a perfect location.

Had a great spring tent out at campsite 1. View was incredible, site clean and spacious. Firepit on site, as well as dry kindling and wood- thanks Dan! This place is great if you are looking for private campsite to get away. I had my dog with me and he also had a great time with few distractions. We’ll be back.

Absolutely loved our stay! The camp had all the basic necessities for off grid, with perfect layout and warm decor. The land and trails were so fun to explore. Snowshoeing and winter bonfire were great - peaceful nature retreat at its best. Dawn and Terry were very much great hosts, with directions and explanations at the start, even lending us a sled for our unrequired heavy packs, as well as letting us know to reach out anytime if anything more needed. No need for that, the cabin already had all we needed for a weekend stay, along with special touches. The games and puzzles were a great addition too! Thanks so much for sharing your piece of paradise!!

We just got back from my stay and we are already planning to book again for the winter— that’s how great this place is! It is a serene, beautiful property and the cabin is so cozy and well built. Helmut is a wonderful host. He cares for his land and the environment extremely well.

We had a great two night stay at the Owl's Nest cabin. Helmut answered all of our questions before we left and transported us to the cabin to show us around the cabin and property. Cabin is secluded and off-grid. Our dog was not a fan of the steep stairs to the loft. Don't forget to bring your orange vest and remember to check for ticks. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Owl’s Nest! Helmut treated you like family, sharing his experiences tending the forest and the cabin that he built. If you’re looking for a place to get off-grid, connect with nature, and be able to explore the many trails just outside your door, this is the place! We especially appreciated how the land was private, so that we could let our pup explore without worrying about running into any other dog owners. It was a great to share this cabin and we will certainly be coming back!

Wow! Double wow!! By far the best Hipcamp we’ve stayed at! Spacious private grassy sites with expansive views of the Bay of Fundy. The cleanest cutest pit toilet you will ever have the pleasure of visiting. Dan is a responsive and helpful host. Would like to have met the man who provides such a memorable experience for people he’s never met! You want to stay here, trust me!

We arrived with our trailer which is self contained late in the season and Manuel's place welcomed us with friendly hospitality . We stayed one night and the weather was rainy so we did not have a chance to hike the property but the welcome was warm and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful! What view! It's an off grid camping spot in the most beautiful area. There is an outhouse that was clean. Dan was quick to respond to any questions I had and check in to make sure I was okay or needed anything. That view though is everything. I would wake up looking out at that view everyday if I could. Also had 5g out there which was nice to still be connected. I will definitely be staying here again.

We surprised my parents with a stay at Bootsie Back 40 Cabin for their 40th anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! The hosts went above and beyond with every detail. The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming, surrounded by stunning fall colors that made the whole experience magical. My parents loved the peace and quiet — they spent their mornings sipping tea while listening to the birds sing. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and even took photos of my parents for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. They also got to visit the farm animals (including two emus!), which they absolutely adored. Thank you for helping me give my parents such a memorable and heartfelt experience. This will be a trip they’ll cherish forever!

We had the best weekend here at the dome! There’s so much to do to keep you busy. From the trails in the woods, kayaking, enjoying the hot tub, and fire pit. You won’t be disappointed!

Get ready for a peaceful and magical stay, nestled between the dreamy domes and a charming boat. The treehouse has everything you need- from running water, a full outdoor kitchen, a/c for those hot nights and a cute wood stove for the cold nights. There are even wagons to carry your belongings which was super helpful. If you’re missing anything, Angele is quick to respond!
