Our lake belongs to the beavers and ducks more than the humans. It’s an amazing place to watch, while swimming is best done at the river, a 5min drive away or half hour walk. A hike through the woods affords many opportunities to discover secret spots carved out of the wilderness with private views of the lake and surrounding properties. The rare wildlife around includes bobcats, bears, cougars, deer, elk and the occasional wolf. Ermine, rabbits and grouse are also common sightings. We have 2 dogs and appreciate a chance to introduce them to your dogs so they understand you’re authorized visitors, once you’ve settled in and your animals are comfortable. Thank you for your understanding! While there is a fire ban on it is ok to bring a propane stove or a propane fire pit, but we ask you let us know about it so we can help you site it safely and we can bring you watering cans to have on hand. Nestled in the pristine Nahatlatch Valley between the Nahatlatch River and Fraser River. Washtock Family Campground offers rustic camping from tents to RVs. We are an ATV friendly campground with ride in ride out accessibility. The campground offers pull through RV Sites with non-potable water and septic connections. We are off grid so we have no power/electricity connections but allow generators. We have space for big groups or just a quick get away for two, we can accommodate you. We have flush toilets and outhouses as well as a hot shower for guest use. We have a small store on site with your regular camping goodies, Ice, seasonal vegetable, as well as farm fresh eggs and all natural free range beef from our farm. We are located 13km north of Northbend which is across the river from Boston Bar BC. Once you reach Boston Bar you will Turn left at the Esso and cross 2 sets of railroad tracks bringing you into Northbend, from Northbend there is about 6km of paved road after that there is 6km of gravel road until you reach our campground. Past our campground is the beautiful Nahatlatch provincial Park which contains Francis lake, Hanna Lake and Nahatlatch Lake. The lakes offer an abundance of activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and paddle boarding. The first lake is about a 15-20 min drive again on gravel road. 2 wheel drive accessible until 21km on the forest service Road after 21km you will need a 4x4, if you plan to travel to Grizzly falls or the 3rd Lake. Glamp camping is open officially in May - earlier if we have beautiful weather. (we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items!) Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping) Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire) The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, and more! getting below freezing temperatures We are 8 minutes north east of PRINCETON BC, or an hour south of Aspen Grove BC. Define ourselves as a Christian couple and a rabbit farm, that would like to share our area with people who enjoy getting into the forest. We do not have dogs, cats or other outside pets so we frequently see deer grazing on our landings. Our property is located 28 Km off the main Hwy 5A on a highways maintained gravel road, some potholes exist! Though we have 3 camping options to choose from, we will block off 2 so whomever books first has the entire site to themselves- and can make check in and check out times flexible. Camping options are a larger 24 ' Rv for families or groups that sleeps up to 6/ a smaller 22' RV trailer for singles or couples sleeps 3. In addition to the RV we have on grid and an off grid areas for tenting, your RV's or van-life if preferred. Our driveway climbs up 100 meters off Summers Cr Rd and is quite secluded. The camping area is like a triangle- a narrow driveway over our creek that opens to a landing 100 feet long and 50 feet wide at the opposite end. Beyond the landing we are all hills and valleys with LOTS of rocky areas to explore, the terrain is uneven so bring sturdy hiking boots. Our small Hidden Creek runs through the property and you can hear it at night. We have also developed 2 hiking trails -one 3 km and one 9 km, both follow our creek to the top of our mountain- that you can explore independently or join a guided hike. After your hike enjoy a soak in our mineral filled hot tub- yet please no soaps or shampoos- hot tubs are not like a Jacuzzi. A Jacuzzi might tolerate such chemicals and just fill up with fun bubbles, but hot tubs are different. The motors and filters might get clogged and ruin the tub. We fill the tub with spring water from our creek and we only add Epson salts. We also have a few older bikes you can use to ride to the beautiful 7 km long Missezula lake, 3 kms north. Or rent our 16' canoe/ life jackets included/ to go out on the lake. Missezula Lake is one of our favorite summer places to cool off! Princeton area is renown for Copper Mining and we have many green rocks on the ground everywhere that are copper! We have been told there are also a few old mining caves on, or above our property, we have so far located one.

There was lots of animals like a goat we saw coming in, a horse, and LOTS of chickens. The cabin was lovely and Micheal was very nice. 10/10 LOVED the big bathtub outside, after a day at the lake to be able to relax and warm up surrounded by the trees and stars was so much fun.

Beautiful campsite, host was very responsive to my questions. They provided picnic tables & fire rings. We were there for the Easter weekend & they placed daffodils on the picnic table as a welcome….very nice touch! They came by once to check in & see if we needed anything, super friendly people. We had the entire space to ourselves & had lots of room to set up our 5 trailers with plenty room to spare. We had access to the beach/dock area so we could use our kayaks in the slough. Only downfall was the trains at night were a bit loud. But overall the site was fantastic!

We had a great time camping at Rachel and Andrew's place! It was a great set up and appreciated the use of the outhouse and fire pit. Very close to the Lake and trails etc. We would definitely stay again!

2 nights at Mixed Barrel Farm

Our glamping experience at Mixed Barrel Farm was the perfect spring getaway. The trailer accommodation felt more like a tiny home or small cabin with its many amenities, including a full kitchen, big screen TV, bathroom with shower and comfortable queen size bed. To us backpackers, it felt like a 3-star hotel. But actually so much better than a hotel because we were on a farm, looking out on peaceful fields lined with pink cherry blossoms and willow trees. We met all the animals--goats, lambs, ducks, chickens and friendly cows, as well as the beautiful labs and two black cats. It seemed like a big, happy family. Our goal was to get out into nature and this was so easy to do since Mixed Barrel is literally steps away from the Vedder South Dyke Trail along the Chilliwack River. We also visited the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve (13 min. drive) to see the herons nesting across the reserve's South Lagoon. Awesome experience! From there it's an easy wander down the Vedder Rotary Trail which has many river views and access points. In addition to the homey farm and stunning nature, our hosts, Wayne and Leah were extraordinarily friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We could tell how much their heart and soul went into making this lovely place. We really enjoyed farm fresh eggs for breakfast and took home a roaster chicken to feast on later. Hopefully, we can return in the fall and see that colourful season at Mixed Barrel Farm!

Weekend Trip to Lakewood Cabins

We stayed here for a night while celebrating my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The cabin was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s especially ideal for those who want to enjoy the feel of camping without the hassle of setting up a tent. You still get that outdoor charm, but with much more comfort. A special mention to our host, Michael, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. He even provided us with firewood free of charge, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable nature retreat.

5-Star Review We had such a wonderful stay at Michael and Amy’s Lakewood Cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The creek running beside the cabin was incredibly calming — we could hear it from the deck and it made every moment feel peaceful. The Enchanted Forest walk right nearby was a highlight; it was so serene and beautiful, perfect for clearing your mind. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, making our stay effortless and comfortable. Directions were excellent and it was very easy to find. Even over spring break, the price was more than reasonable for what we got. The outdoor shower was an absolute treat — liberating, quiet, and surprisingly peaceful with nature all around us. The BBQ worked perfectly, and the firewood was cheap and easy to get if you don’t bring your own. A special memory was meeting Stella the horse — she was so gentle and kind with my children, which made the trip extra magical for the kids. We loved it so much that we’d go back next weekend if we could! We’re already planning our return trip later this year. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped getaway in a beautiful natural setting. So close to town, yet felt hours away. Thank you, Michael and Amy! Michael and his family have an amazing space. It has all the amenities one could need and is quiet and peaceful. Everyone there is extremely friendly but there is enough space between cabins to feel like you have your own personal space if that's what you want. The Enchanted Forest trail is fantastic for all ages and kids will love it! Absolutely recommend! Will definitely be back.

Our stay at Mixed Barrel Farm was truly unforgettable. It’s an amazing place to camp, especially for families. Our kids had such a great time interacting with the farm animals—it was a wonderful way for them to experience farm life up close. Leah and Wayne were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome. We also had the pleasure of meeting their son, Gavin, and the whole family was incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Their hospitality really made our stay extra special. Even though it rained for most of our visit, we never felt bored. The recreation space—lovingly called the “Barrel Room”—kept everyone entertained and added so much fun to our stay. This lovely farm has such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back, and next time with more family and friends. We came as guests, but left as friends.

Weekend Trip to Mixed Barrel Farm

We had such a wonderful time at the Farm! It was our first official camping trip with our little family and it could not have been a safer and more comfortable space to experience it. Our little two year old was so excited with all of the animals, waking up to seeing the cows, the goats and the chickens. And us adults loved the vibes of the fire pit and the beautiful view of the stars on the clear night! Leah was so responsive and helpful whenever we had a question or needed assistance.
