OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Only 1-2 pets are permitted during your stay at the Dome.
Please note that Dome guests do not have access to Marmora Retreat's Farmhouse area, pool, and waterfront dock area.
The hot tub may require up to 4 hours to reach optimal temperature, which can vary depending on the outdoor temperature.
This year, we've encountered issues with wet wood, affecting our firewood supply. To ensure you have a cozy experience, we kindly request that all guests bring their own dry firewood. While we'll still offer firewood, we regret to inform you that we cannot guarantee its dryness. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Outdoor Fires - based around the Marmora township, all fire warnings are set at the time of your visit. All outdoor fires must be small, controlled and monitored at all times, they must also be put out with water before being left.
Sound - after 10:00 pm there is a noise curfew, but even before that you must make sure you are respectful of other guests on the property who come to relax, as well as our neighbors in this quiet countryside region. In the event of any noise rule violations, such as loud music or disturbances after 10:00 PM, a $500 fee will be applied from the deposit.
Power - we are on solar energy, embracing an eco-conscious lifestyle. Our off-grid setup ensures that your stay in the Dome is in harmony with nature. The water system operates on a pump-action system. Enjoy a sustainable, peaceful retreat, leaving a lighter impact on the environment during your stay.

We purchased this farm in 1998 from the previous farmer who had owned it since 1929. The train line ran right by the gate where the Kota hut now sits and would drop cattle right there to be finished and sold later at the Toronto Stockyards. Our barn was built in 1890 with the old farmhouse located across the creek. Two creeks meet the Grand River on our farm. The bunkie is situated north of the barn and faces Willow creek. During the summer the creek gets quite shallow but there are a couple of pools that work nicely for a float with our river tubes. The river also has a small swimming hole. The bunkie is nestled between 2 hills which creates a natural little valley. Campers can take a walk around the property or use the nearby long walking trail. New this spring, campers will be able to enjoy the firewood sauna, located close to the bunkie and nestled in a private spot near the creek.

Inside our Tiny Cabin is a main floor with living area, fold away dining table, full bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The kitchenette has a sink, bar fridge with small freezer, stove top convection over/toaster, drip coffee maker, single burner element and microwave. It is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes, coffee grounds, some spices and cooking oil.
There is also an outdoor BBQ.
The upstairs loft has Queen size bed, smart TV and clothing storage. All linens (sheets, towels etc. are included). The cabin is heated and we provide fans in the Summer months.
We love animals but unfortunately our tiny cabin is not suitable for pets. Our cabin is strictly non smoking.
We are passionate about tiny home living and leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible. The Tiny Teal Cabin was thoughtfully built to utilize minimal space and be energy efficient, all the while providing a serene sanctuary and escape amongst the trees. We encourage our guests to discover what it would be like to live with 'less' while discovering more in their surroundings.
