Learn more about this land:This comfortable and spacious yurt is located on the 30-acre property of the historic Paisley Mill along the Teeswater river. With three large windows, a dome skylight, and wool felt insulation, the yurt provides a wonderful "glamping" experience.
There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet.
There are basic utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans available in the yurt.

Important to Note:

The land is framed by the historic Bruce Trail to the north, Billy Bishop airport (only a few small prop-private flights daily) to the west, Concession 6 N on the East, and Highway 26 on the south end of the property.
There is a forest on the north end of our land where the bruce trail runs through (C) and the farm sits more to the south end (A). There's a pine-forest that one has to hike into (B- see map in photos). Generally, the area is close to swimming in Lake Huron, the property is large (100 hectares) and the neighborhood is large grain. This means you can have a chunk of the forest all to yourself.
For area A you can drive in the main driveway and park by the house/ barn or on the field. Or walk to a camping spot. No 4 wheel drive is necessary. Please stay away from the Barn as it is dangerous to be close by.
For area C you can access the fields from Concession 6 N at one of the gates past (North) of the driveway. You will need a 4-wheel drive to not get stuck in the field. Please do not park on the agricultural field.
For area B You will park your car behind a gate right off Highway 26 and hike in to find a site to pitch a tent. There are about 3 spots for cars behind the first set of Pines. You might need a 4-wheel drive. It's completely up to you where you set up camp.
We ask that you do not light any open fires as this is a coniferous forest. Feel free to walk in as far you want to find your spot. If you walk too far you will come up to a field and the farmhouse. We ask that you do not camp on the agricultural fields.

Our 360 acres is located in Paisley Ontario in the Township of Bruce. We have 5 multi-acre sites for Boondock camping that offer beautiful breezes off of Lake Huron and quiet private pastoral settings. Each site is groomed and offers a fire pit. You can bring up to 7 trailers into each site for a multi-trailer experience.
We have approx 15 km of groomed trails to hike, trail run, walk all through Bruce County. We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more.
The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron.
Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive...
Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded.
Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining.
TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping.
It is being used for Boondocking, weddings, mediation and yoga retreats and we look forward to hosting you also soon.

On clear nights the starry vistas will unfold in the Dark Sky Preserve here on the Bruce Peninsula.
The lakefront has a picnic table to enjoy a meal at (no fire pit). You can push off from the shoreline with your kayaks or canoes (bring your own) to explore “The Fens” of Mountain Lake.
The lake is NOT suitable for swimming, it has a marl bottom that you will sink into.
There is no potable water, please bring your own for drinking and cooking.
There are some nice beaches suitable for swimming within a 15-20 minute drive. Sauble Beach is best for a swim and to watch the sunset from.
We are located 10 minutes from Wiarton, 20 minutes from Sauble Beach and 1 hour from Tobermory. Enjoy all the Bruce Peninsula has to offer from this convenient base.

There are 2 small lakes within a short drive of Dusty Hills. McCullough Lake is about 5 minutes by car or an easy bike ride to the public beach. Williams Lake is less than 10 minutes by car and also has public access.
We are a 10-minute drive from Kinghurst Forest, which is 370 hectares of old-growth forest designated as an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest (ANSI).
Centrally located, just south of the Bruce Peninsula -- you will be perfectly situated for day trips to Georgian Bay or Lake Huron. The sandy beaches of Port Elgin, Southampton or Sauble Beach are a 40-minute drive. Access points to the Saugeen River for fishing/paddling are also nearby.
LOGISTICS
We are a short bike ride away from the town of Williamsford, which contains a sprawling bookstore/café in an old mill, the famous Williamsford Pie Company, and a well-stocked convenience store (LCBO Licensed). Any other shopping needs can likely be satisfied in Owen Sound, 20 minutes north of us.
We can provide drinking water, and have folding tables and chairs for your site if you would like them.

Our 360 acres is located in Paisley Ontario in the Township of Bruce. We have 5 multi-acre sites for Boondock camping that offer beautiful breezes off of Lake Huron and quiet private pastoral settings. Each site is groomed and offers a fire pit. You can bring up to 7 trailers into each site for a multi-trailer experience.
We have approx 15 km of groomed trails to hike, trail run, walk all through Bruce County. We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more.
The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron.
Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive...
Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded.
Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining.
TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping.
It is being used for Boondocking, weddings, mediation and yoga retreats and we look forward to hosting you also soon.
We are pet friendly...so bring your four legged family members too!

Peaceful tent camping with access to Mountain Lake. Perfect for nature lovers, quiet, experienced self-sufficient campers.

The campsites are located down a hill and are close to the lake. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and ample room for tents and parking for one vehicle.
There is one outhouse on the property near the lake access that is to be shared with all campers. There are walking trails to respectfully explore and enjoy local flora and fauna.
On clear nights the starry vistas will unfold in the Dark Sky Preserve here on the Bruce Peninsula.
The lakefront has a picnic table to enjoy a meal at (no fire pit). You can push off from the shoreline with your kayaks or canoes (bring your own) to explore “The Fens” of Mountain Lake.
The lake is NOT suitable for swimming, it has a marl bottom that you will sink into.
There is no potable water, please bring your own for drinking and cooking.
There are some nice beaches suitable for swimming within a 15-20 minute drive. Sauble Beach is best for a swim and to watch the sunset from.
We are located 10 minutes from Wiarton, 20 minutes from Sauble Beach and 1 hour from Tobermory. Enjoy all the Bruce Peninsula has to offer from this convenient base.

Pitch your tent next to one of our fields or in the forest. Our place is perfect for nature-loving, quiet, experienced self-sufficient campers. Our camping sites are located towards the back of our property, so a 5-10 mins walk is required to get to your site. We can provide a wagon to help transport your supplies.
THE AREA
You will have access to 700+ acres of conservation/county forest beginning at your campsite. You can walk out of your tent and explore!
There are 2 small lakes within a short drive of Dusty Hills. McCullough Lake is about 5 minutes by car or an easy bike ride to the public beach. Williams Lake is less than 10 minutes by car and also has public access.
We are a 10-minute drive from Kinghurst Forest, which is 370 hectares of old-growth forest designated as an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest (ANSI).
Centrally located, just south of the Bruce Peninsula -- you will be perfectly situated for day trips to Georgian Bay or Lake Huron. The sandy beaches of Port Elgin, Southampton or Sauble Beach are a 40-minute drive. Access points to the Saugeen River for fishing/paddling are also nearby.
LOGISTICS
We are a short bike ride away from the town of Williamsford, which contains a sprawling bookstore/café in an old mill, the famous Williamsford Pie Company, and a well-stocked convenience store (LCBO Licensed). Any other shopping needs can likely be satisfied in Owen Sound, 20 minutes north of us.
We can provide drinking water, and have folding tables and chairs for your site if you would like them.

Once upon a time this property consisted of an 18 acre apple orchard and a 10 acre Maple Sugar bush with evidence of it scattered about the property. I have owned the property for over 16 years now, and moved here from Toronto about 4 years ago, living in nature has become my life. The property is full of Wild life and history. The 18 acre orchard was turned into a white pine forest about 40 years ago and has recently been thinned out to promote healthy growth. Bee hives have recently become part of the life that exists here. The area is surrounded by a Mennonite community and the Amish are also within a 15 minute drive from here. On the map you will see that this property is a part of the original Queen's bush. The highest point in the township with amazing views all around. Ivan’s land is immediately comforting and relaxing. The open spaces are soothing to the eye and spirit, and he knows how to let people enjoy it without imposing and also when to check in. As I left, I already missed the place, and started planning my next trip back.

This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. Chris was very generous host. He provided us an abundant and complimentary supply of firewood. It made our evenings effortless and cozy. We will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Yurt at Paisley Mill
My partner and I stayed at Emily’s Yurt this past thanksgiving weekend 2025 as a last minute booking. Emily accommodated our stay and was very quick to respond. The yurt was stunning, we’ve stayed at many hip camps and this was by far the best experience. From a eco friendly outhouse with a wood chip system, very clean and well stocked with necessities. The yurt had all supplies needed, along with many games and other activities to do. Can’t thank Emily enough for sharing her beautiful property and being so welcoming.

What a lovely weekend we had at Ivan's property 😀
He's a wealth of knowledge about native fruit trees & berries. The front of the property has an extensive orchard that Ivan has worked on for ten years. Check his booth out at the Meaford Farmers market if you have the chance!
The campsite was in a lush grassy area neighboring a cover crop plot that provided lovely views. An old fire pit was provided and we made good use of it.
The farm is close to town and you can easily make a visit to owen sound/ thornbury/ Collingwood to flesh out a full weekend trip. We had a blast and highly recommend 👌

Chris and Victoria were fantastics hosts! Friendly, helpful, and all around added to the experience. The property was easy to find, and I had no issues getting my car and and down the hill to the site. The land was very well kept and quiet, and the dogs were adorable and super friendly. Our stay at Bill’s riverside campsite was fantastic! The location is stunning, with the river just steps away and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campsite was clean, well-kept, and had all the essentials we needed.
What really stood out was Bill’s hospitality. He welcomed us warmly, gave helpful tips about the area, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. You can tell he takes real pride in keeping the place beautiful and making guests feel at home.
Whether you want a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely return!
