Is an amazing getaway right on the water. This was my second stay, different site, can’t go wrong! Highly recommend paddling down the river. Chris is an awesome host, quick to respond, very helpful and understanding.
Our second time back and it is magical. Secluded, private, feels so deep in nature. Our golden retriever also had the time of his life. No other campsite like this one. We will be back.
Beautiful site in the fantastic cedar forest, right by the river. The river is shallow, under 6 feet in the deepest part, and the bottom is mostly sandy. Chris was very hospitable and accommodating, answered our questions and requests promptly. The wildlife did not show their presence at all, except for a pair of hilarious chipmunks jumping around and up in the tree branches. My family and friends can’t wait to camp here again.

Very nice place for camping ( so quite and clean
And easy access for river for boating and fishing
Camping by the river was amazing! The land is great with some amazing walking and the access to the river is amazing. We did lots of paddling and thoroughly enjoyed lounging around the Saugeen. Chris is a great host and ensured we had what we needed.

Met with Chris on our second day as we arrived pretty late at night on the first day and he is awesome. Such a friendly and welcoming person, he made us feel right at home. The camp spot was perfect, mostly secluded and had a great view of the river. Would fully recommend

I would recommend Chris’s land for someone who wants a quiet and very private getaway. Chris was very friendly and very accommodating.
River has a good current and raises quickly when it rains.
I like a little more solitude when I'm camping and Boyd this place deliver! The summertime is always tough because everybody and their uncle has filled the campgrounds almost every day of the week. Not this place. The spaces are well spread apart and this one by the river was completely secluded. A gorgeous site and a wonderful view of the river. This is the place for you. If you like some back to basics camping, don't expect any glamping features here, which is just perfect by me. The host was absolutely amazing. Chris actually let me check in a little bit early and actually drove me to my site. He didn't have to do that. He did it because he clearly cares about his campers. I'll definitely be back to this spot again a couple times this summer. If Crystal have me lol 😀
We loved that this particular campsite offered us privacy, shade, and absolutely no noise other than birds chirping. Not all his campsites were private, but this one was!!
Future campers who are considering booking this campsite should be aware that the river wasn't accessible. This was a major disappointment as we booked this campsite on a hot summer day, particularly because it was located on a river. The listing said you could bathe/swim in the river, and this was not accurate at all.
In retrospect, we paid a lot of money for this campsite, which only provided a fire pit and an outhouse.

Great private little spot. Chris was lovely and was there to meet us and take us to the site.
Very friendly and welcoming host! Fire pit, toilet, and the beautiful Saugeen River right beside you. 20 mins away from Port Elgin, closer is cute little town of Paisley. Really nice, large lake close by (~10mins) for paddling. 100% would recommend!!
We had a great week camping in the fall. Colours are beautiful and the river access was fantastic.

Middle Centre - Sand Oasis
This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. Chris was very generous host. He provided us an abundant and complimentary supply of firewood. It made our evenings effortless and cozy. We will definitely return!

We loved it!!! It was very quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for.
Great place! My little dog loved being off leash and my friends and I had a lot of room to set up our camp site.
Excellent campsite, the river access is a great spot with stairs going down. Do wear good water shoes for the large rocks.
We made a raft of four donuts and floated down the river to the conservation site. Very fun, the trek up river was a task as the river seems slow when going down. Have fun!
Next to the field we saw lots of butterflies and stars!

We were lucky to have the space to ourselves while we were there, Chris is very nice and accommodating. There is one small site that is secluded and close to the water with shade all day, but the rest are more open with no division between campers. The river was awesome and so nice to have to so close to our site, we went many times in the day. We brought our dog who LOVES to swim and he had a blast swimming against the current. The current is strong, so fun to walk up and float back, it’s rocky so bring water shoes, lots of crayfish to watch. There is even a small space by the river to bring chairs. All in all we had a great time!
Tent camping on Chris’ land was amazing! Even though it rained, we were never worried as we knew we had a helping hand if we needed it. Would definitely recommend!
Loved camping at Chris's land, the river was great for a swim 🙌 He checked on us and made sure we have everything we need, and we felt welcomed.
We had a great weekend away on Chris’s private oasis! He situated us right on the water in a lovely shady spot, which was a huge bonus! He made it so personable which I loved, he even brought our kids a home made wood speaker so we could enjoy some tunes! He checked in on us and was a fantastic host. We can’t wait to return!

I loved this peacefull place in nature, with the sound of bird and the river near of us! It was the first time in many travel we can take time to make firecamp. Chris was really nice with us, taking time to speak and clean the fireplace with weedeather. He show us were we can take a cool down in the water. Thanks for this great place and the kind owner.

Chris’ property is very lush and secluded! He was an amazing host and was very polite. Though it rained majority of my stay, he checked in on me multiple times to make sure I was still okay setting up in the rain, and offered to help me. Am excited to book again with him!

Very beautiful spot we had right beside the river. Chris was very helpful and came to pickup at street and helped us to get through the muddy trails. I recommend you take all wheel drive if it's wet.
Excellent property and Chris was an absolute pleasure to meet! We'll definitely be there again!

I was lucky enough to be the only camper so I had my choice of sites. Had 2 clear nights to watch the stars. If I'm able to book it again with no other campers it will be quite a thing. Chris was genuine when asked any questions and came to say hi the second day. You can tell he is truly interested in making people feel free to enjoy all that he offers!

Had a great time at the site. It was private and had lots of space + there was a toilet. The listing mentioned wood being provided which it was not, we just picked some up in a nearby town. One downside of the site is there is no easy access to the river, it's a drop at most points, but wasn't a deal breaker for us. The surrounding area is great and close to Southampton and Port Elgin for some beach time. It's really close to a major access to the river , roughly 2 minute drive so would be great for those kayaking the river
Camping was good! The river beautiful!
Will go back in the future.
Chris was very nice and informative.
10/10. Watch out for the poison ivy!

Middle Centre - Sand Oasis
Chris was attentive and caring so we could have a good time there. Our two dogs enjoyed running, swimming and exploring his beautiful huge property, and it's their heaven. My husband and I had a great relaxing time with the beautiful starry sky and peaceful forest sounds.
If you have a kayak or a canoe, and love fishing, Chris's place is the best since the river is just there!
