1) .”How far are we from Banff…
2 hours of a beautiful drive that includes kootenay national park.
2)..Important ❗️❗️Please do not bring firewood from other areas to our camp as our property is heavily treed forest and we do not want any transfer of raw wood bugs. We offer $10 generous bundles of wood.
3) When you book, One tent or RV and one vehicle per site. If you are looking to book for a group of friends/family area, we can help with that.. prior to booking.
Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site that’s completely wrong for them… but that’s ok… we will fix it. 😊
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pm…no music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.
6) Once you book, we will reply back with important information on the phone number you booked with. Please check for our messages to you for a smooth booking and arrival.

As we take this Hipcamp journey together, we are finding little things we can do to make your stay better…Like offering a complimentary table at your site should you require one…. or adjusting the site you booked to one that would perhaps fit your needs much better as we know it’s difficult to choose a perfect site on line. If you forgot something, we probably have one…. Feel free to ask.

Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.
A really unique and quiet place to stay.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.
A quiet spot, away from noise and light pollution, where the fresh water meets the salt water.

Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off & undercut banks.
ATV's are idle in - idle out.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.
If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. All the details are on my Tamihi Meadows site under "Cabins".

Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.

You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes.
Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight.

Our camp sites are great for anyone wanting to camp, including groups.

We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire).
Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

Nestled at the foot of Mount Currie in Pemberton, BC, just 30 minutes from Whistler.
Wake up to snow-capped mountain views stretching across your entire horizon. Spend your days tending the garden, hiking trails right from the property, mountain biking through the valley, or watching helicopters lift off toward the glacier peaks. End every evening soaking in our cedar hot tub or wood-fired sauna beneath one of the darkest, starriest skies in BC.
This is a real, working farm. We grow vegetables, tend flowers, and live the seasons honestly. You might also meet Josh — our 3-year-old Samoyed, who takes his role as farm ambassador very seriously and will likely be the first to welcome you.
We have three types of stays: a stargazing glamping tent, RV hookup sites with mountain views, and open-sky tent campsites.
Pemberton sits in the Pemberton Valley, surrounded by Coast Mountains and glaciers. Within a short drive:
• Joffre Lakes Provincial Park — world-class turquoise glacier lakes hike (25 min drive)
• Whistler Blackcomb — skiing, mountain biking, and alpine activities (35 min drive)
• Pemberton Valley Golf Club — 18-hole golf course with mountain backdrop (10 min drive)
• Blackcomb Helicopters — glacier and mountain flightseeing tours (departing from Pemberton)
• Pemberton Bike Co. / local MTB trails — cross-country and trail riding throughout the valley
• One Mile Lake Park — easy lakeside walk, swimming, birdwatching (5 min drive)
• Lillooet River — fishing, kayaking, riverside walks
• Nairn Falls Provincial Park — waterfall hike along the Green River (20 min drive)
• Local farm stands and Pemberton Meadows — fresh produce and scenic valley drives

Really enjoyed our night at Tyee Valley Farm! It's so quiet and peaceful. We brought our C-class motorhome (in Site C) and, even though there was another site close by, we still felt that we had privacy. It was nice to meet Colin and see the cows peacefully grazing nearby. Really nice space for very reasonable value.

We throughly enjoyed our time camping on Paul's property. Each site is nicely contained and private, with a variety in sizes depending on your camping setup. Our truck and tent trailer are 39 feet long before setup and we could have fit in most sites. We were struck by how much birdsong you hear in the morning and evenings and enjoyed watching the birds and dragonflies and bats while we sat around the fire. There's a great nature trail down the road that goes along the rocky shoreline and into the forest around the Oyster River, and sandy Saratoga Beach is only a few minutes' drive away. We'd definitely like to come back!

We stayed on ‘Sunny’, which was indeed sunny! A good level pitch and nice views. We didn’t make use of any of the campground activities but they all looked good, lots of effort has gone into making this place. The pit toilet by the tent spots was fabulous! Warm welcome at receiption and Mark responded via text when needed. Bring bug spray and don’t be dim like us and book sunny if you want shade, and you’ll have a great time! Thanks

5 nights at theDoighouse Earthship
Camping here was such a joyful and relaxing experience! The hosts are so welcoming, caring and most helpful. We loved the location in the woods, close to beautiful trails and a quiet beach. Taking a tour of their place added inspiration and a new perspective. As an unexpected but meaningful bonus, I enjoyed an evening full of music, strumming along with friendly and talented people. Thank you Susan and Tony! I hope we will meet again next year.

We had such a wonderful experience at this campsite. It was much more than just a place to stay—it felt like a peaceful sanctuary where animals are truly loved and cared for.
The farm is home to friendly horses, gentle sheep, playful cats and adorable kittens, cows, and even a proud rooster. Every animal looked healthy, happy, and comfortable, which reflects the genuine compassion of the owners. It was heartwarming to see that they are treated with kindness and respect, with absolutely no signs of cruelty.
You can really feel the special bond between the farm owners and their animals. Their selfless dedication and care create a calm, healing atmosphere that makes every visitor feel connected to nature. Spending time with the animals was incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.
If you’re looking for a campsite that offers more than beautiful surroundings—a place where you can experience the joy of connecting with well-loved animals and meet truly caring hosts—I highly recommend this hidden gem. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to visit again.

The host was fantastic! She was very accommodating and took time to get to know what would make our stay fun and relaxing. The beach and amenities were wonderful and the space was very clean and well-kept. We ended up booking an extra night in the site after we arrived. We have added B.E.N.T. What an amazing and unexpected gem! B.E.N.T felt like visiting family while spending sunny days on a fabulous beach on the river! You can feel the love and care in every detail here from the comfy beach chairs to the wimsy decorations adorning the property 😀 not to mention the outhouses that felt like an indoor affair- tiled and immaculate! A definite treat to sleep under the blowing poplar trees and laze the days away! See you again soon Treena and family!

BENT Acres is a fantastic gem of a camp. Treena was welcoming, kind and accommodating. The camping area has lots of shade with big mature trees. We loved the birdsong! The beach is especially amazing for hanging out at with a variety of chairs, shade, and games.

Treena is absolutely amazing and the site is so awesome with tons of space per site and my family and my sister family had fun, especially the river area kids enjoyed playing by the sand we took lots of photos and videos and our group of 7 enjoyed the large fire pit with kids marshmallows and we have a morning short trailing around the site and the view is stunning 💁🏻♀️we would recommend.

The cabin has a lot of more amenities that the host didn't even mentioned on the website. Michael has put a lot of attention to the details to make our trip easier. (A family of fives with infants).
The BBQ set works well, the campfire is fun and the trail on the property is pretty well maintained.
Would definitely visit again next year.

The spot is absolutely beautiful! It’s right next to the ocean, and the views are amazing. Communication with the host was quick and easy, making everything smooth from start to finish.
I only wish I had stayed longer. I’d definitely recommend booking at least two nights so you have enough time to relax and enjoy the spot.

Weekend Trip to theDoighouse Earthship
The Maple Cabin is such a sweet spot, nestled on Susan and Tony’s land with a lovely view of the trees and the sounds of songbirds. The bed was comfy and the space warm and inviting.
Just a note, If you want more than a shared pit toilet, consider booking the other cabin with a bathroom.
