Explore our walking trails, visit our chickens, or sit near our seasonal waterfall. There are many spots on the property to sit and chill. We've also been Airbnb hosts for over 13 years.
If you come during campfire season, please bring your firewood. You're also welcome to scavenge for dead dry wood on the property, but we no longer have firewood for purchase. Typically, gas stations and some grocery stores have some for sale.

This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about.
Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave.

The property is a couple acres in Roberts Creek with the yurt, our house and gardens. We are a 5 minute walk to the beach, where we’ve seen humpback whales every summer and a short 7 minute drive to Gibsons.
We live in the house beside the yurt with our dog and baby. We respect guests’ privacy but are here if you need anything!

The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need.
The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out.
The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.
The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio

Our family lives on the top floor.
Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts.
Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

Wild Coast has 2 nightly campsites for you to enjoy. Site one is a large, flat open gravel base. And Site 2 is a large, flat grass based site. Please note you must have your own trailer or tent.
We’re a 5-10 minute drive to Rathtrevor beach/Parksville, Englishman River. We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it!
The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks!
Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive.
Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy.

I have taken a piece of forest and transformed it into a Premium camping experience with pastures, terraces, pathways, a pond and island, level campsites with grass and sand and a communal outdoor pavilion lounge with fully stocked kitchen at your disposal. I have a sauna, communal campfire area and solar showers too. This is a magnificent place to bring the kids, a wonderful place to hang with friends and family, a peaceful place for lovers and a great place to come on your own to remember how awesome and talented you really are.
I can accommodate larger groups, workshops, parties and special events. Ask me about renting the entire site for your private event and family & friend gatherings.
Please note, these are walk-in campsites. Park and make a short walk to your beautiful campsite. One large grass pasture is available upon request for car, campervan and RV camping.
My fully stocked pavilion, kitchen and lounge have all the cookware, dishware and utensils needed to prepare your meal. There is also a BBQ and Coleman stove with propane provided. Drinking water is provided. Firewood is sold onsite when campfires are permitted. Propane fire pit rentals available.
For bathing I have cold showers and seasonal warm solar showers. Plus an aquifer-fed pond for clean, cold water dips.
If you want something a little fancier I have a great little off-grid camping cabin and a 20 foot Bell Tent. Ask me about them.
A beautiful mobile sauna care of Pranasauna is available for rent.
Roberts Creek is a peaceful, eclectic, rural community seated between Gibsons and Sechelt, and possesses a stunning blend of beaches, forest, and some of the friendliest people you will come across. The campsites were very accessible and they had kind staff, who made my group and I feel very welcome. The campground had a map and a useful guide of amenities for us in case we had any questions, and on top of that their washrooms were clean despite being in the middle of renovations.
I plan on camping here again next year

We felt at home and at peace the moment we stepped on to Christian’s beautiful property! He was extremely friendly and told us all about the place. Everything was super clean, and the cabin was designed thoughtfully. We are already looking forward to coming back :)

Weekend Trip to Forest Sanctuary Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at Christian's cabin. It was the first weekend of April, and were treated to having the land to ourselves. With it being this early in the year, the cooking/lounging area and outdoors showers were not yet up. I took advantage of the Gibsons community centre showers ($3), as per Christian's suggestion.
Christian is a thoughtful host, providing a tour of the area, lesson on using the woodstove, checking in occasionally, and providing equipment to meet all our needs. Between having no electricity (only solar powered lights), wifi, or plumbing; and access to a clean open air outhouse, water for drinking, hand and dish washing, a wood stove for heat, toasty warm bed, and the sounds of nature, we felt it was the perfect balance between rustic and comfort -- perfect environment to reconnect with nature and ourselves. We loved cooking food on the campfire, watching the stars come out, doing cold dips in the shallow pond, and listening to the distant chorus of frogs. We would recommend bringing indoor slippers for the cabin, tealight candles, flashlights, and cooking oil.
We look forward to coming again and seeing the result of new developments Christian is working on!

We had a fabulous 2 nights at Dashwood Meadows. A clean, comfortable experience with all the amenities we needed. We loved walking the property with the animals and waking up to such a peaceful environment.
The campsite was ideal. Sun, shade, a picnic table, firepit, potanle water, and the best was the composting toilet.
You won't regret a stay with Amanda and her farm friends!

Great spot! Easy to find. Susan and Tony were so welcoming. A brief check in to ensure we have everything we need. The wood stove was such a treat and really made it cozy. Beautiful trails nearby and the beach is so close.

Weekend Trip to Forest Sanctuary Cabin
Christian has a lovely piece of land with a fresh running stream and forest as well as open areas. We enjoyed our stay in his little luxury off grid cabin. We had all the amenities we needed for heat, sleeping and dishes for cooking etc and as its early springtime we had a lot of privacy.

The place was amazing! Susan was so welcoming and nice to talk to! She made us visit her earthship and it was beautiful! The camping spot was nice, there was a lot of extra thing she offered us. I really recommend this place.
