Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website dawleysrivercamping.com for details. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. Activities nearby include: Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site. This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time. Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. The property is approximately 40 acres. It is a mixture of forest, bogs, a couple of creeks, and open grass areas. We are a tree farm at the moment. However, we are diligently working towards farming flowers, vegetables, and herbs that may be purchased. We have trails throughout the farm with one that leads to state land. You can definitely get your hike on and work up an appetite. Our sites are unique as each one is a different layout from the other. They are hand-cut into the forest so you will be tucked away from others, but you will have an opportunity to meet others if you so choose, when we fire up the large community campfire. We are four-legged family member friendly with the stipulation that your animal family member not be too terribly talkative and loud. Also, it is imperative that your animal family member be restrained when hiking on all parts of the farm. While at your site, you may allow them to be unrestrained as long as they stay on your site only. We are a NON-SMOKING facility. We do not allow firecrackers ever. We have a tree farm we steward and firecrackers are a fire risk. So please no firecrackers on the property.

Closer to our beach more private no road noise bigger sites on 102 acres. The waves will be the only noise you hear at night. We are still located near all the popular places to visit. And our private beach is just down the road from our campground. You might have seen "Private Beach Front" Property campground on hipcamp that is our property too. We have a canvas bell tent on one end of our beach.

The property is approximately 40 acres. It is a mixture of forest, bogs, a couple of creeks, and open grass areas. We are a tree farm at the moment. However, we are diligently working towards farming flowers, vegetables, and herbs that may be purchased. We have trails throughout the farm with one that leads to state land. You can definitely get your hike on and work up an appetite. Our sites are unique as each one is a different layout from the other. They are hand-cut into the forest so you will be tucked away from others, but you will have an opportunity to meet others if you so choose, when we fire up the large community campfire. We are four-legged family member friendly with the stipulation that your animal family member not be too terribly talkative and loud. Also, it is imperative that your animal family member be restrained when hiking on all parts of the farm. While at your site, you may allow them to be unrestrained as long as they stay on your site only. We are a NON-SMOKING facility. We do not allow firecrackers ever. We have a tree farm we steward and firecrackers are a fire risk. So please no firecrackers on the property.

I have stayed at this HipCamp in the past and liked it so much I decided to come back. The sites themselves offer the basics: table, chairs, fire pit, tent spot. But the best parts of this campground are the outdoor kitchens, outdoor game area, and all of the wooden gnomes to find. I would come back here for another stay!

This place is such a gem! Beautifully maintained, quiet, and great location to Sol Duc hot springs and Olympic National Park. Logan was super responsive with any questions I had. The campground is super charming with lots of wooden statues and string lights around. Bonus that there are bathrooms and a shower! Can’t wait to return next summer.

Weekend Trip to Red Bell Farm

Stayed at Red Bell Farm and it was pure magic. The private peaceful campsite felt like our own slice of serenity, just a short drive from everyday amenities, with wildlife spotting around every corner and trails begging to be explored straight from the back. An unforgettable escape, all thanks to Gary for opening up such incredible land. Pure joy fireside by the pond, plus a simply equipped shared kitchen that made everything easy. Grateful beyond words, a Hipcamp gem for sure!

Really cool space. I stayed in camp 0. While folks with mobility issues may struggle a bit with being up hill, I didn't find it to be an issue at all and the cheaper price meant I could stay longer. That being said, all the sites looked great. The kitchen was so nice for breakfast and to cook up the mushrooms I foraged nearby. Eventually the shower curtain will need to be changed but that hot shower in a cold night was amazing. Super close to so many things. I'll definitely be coming back.

2 nights at Elwha RV Park

Van camping in the Nook at Elwha was quiet and peaceful! The hosts were super accommodating of my last minute vehicle change and helped me find a place that would fit a large campervan. The bathroom was warm, which was perfect for showering after a week on the road, but also a bit far from my campsite (an oversight on my part). I’m not sure if this is normal, but both porta-jons near me were locked- didn’t have a chance to ask the hosts about it since I was mostly away during operating hours. Having WiFi was a nice surprise, which helped me stay in the loop about events planned at the fungi festival. Overall, Very nice amenities and hosts!

It was a really beautiful campsite with a lot of convenient amenities available. The only thing I really have to complain about is that the heater in the tent wasn’t enough to keep us warm at night.

The two sites at the farm are very private. There was so much to look at - ravens, rabbits, deer, and ducks on the pond. We fit two cars and two tents comfortably at elderberry. The hosts were great and very responsive to our questions. We can't wait to visit again!

Great time, great property and a great host. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful secluded place to stay. Very convenient location that is close to lots of mountain biking and good restaurants, breweries and wineries. Steven, the host is a very nice guy and super helpful and easy to work with.
