The staff was beyond courteous and kind, the grounds were very well kept there was absolutely no trash. The 101 being right next door was rather quite at night and I didn’t notice the noice aside from nature.

The highway noise wasn’t all that bad, especially if you have expectations for it going in. The convenience of the general store and the clean bathrooms/showers was amazing. The drive-in sites are definitely close together, but we had minimal issues with neighbors. Using this camp as an affordable base for adventuring into ONP was absolutely perfect for us. Would definitely consider coming back.

We stayed one night in Site K and wished we stayed longer, it was more than enough to accommodate 8 people and three tents. The noise level from the main highway that everyone complained about in other reviews was not even noticeable. The small store was convenient for ice, firewood, water, and even ice cream. Having clean bathrooms, showers and hot water was a big plus. Very friendly staff as well. Would recommend this campgrounds to others and would definitely stay here again.

The area was great, the camping spot was perfect and the general store was a great spot to get a few extra things we were missing. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean and everyone around us was quiet and respectful. Can’t say enough good things about our stay here.

We climbed Storm King, road the ATV trails and jumped off the bridge at the Devils punchbowl!!! Location is perfect. Facilities were great!!

This property is primarily an RV park. It is off the highway about 20 minutes from town. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a wonderful general store. The store is very charming and offers everything you could need, as well as an ice cream case and all manner of beverages. The young man working the store was very nice and personable and gave great service.
Behind the general store is a stretch of trees at the bottom of a hill. That is where the tent camp sites are. There are about 5 or 6 sites all together in a small area. We were lucky to be the only campers that night, but if there were others it would not feel private at all. The hill blocks the view of the rv parking though, and it was very quiet.
The main appeal of the place was the amenities. It features a very clean bathroom close to the sites, with free showers. Each site had a well-maintained fire pit and a water spigot, as well as a picnic table.
Overall, if you are looking for a place to rest your head after a long day of activities, this is perfect. It does lack a bit of ambiance and would not recommend for a true camping experience.
The raccoons are no joke in this area! The raccoons visited us at night and were very bold. Drove my dog insane so keep that in mind as well.

Very nice campground! ice cream servings are HUGE and the hot water is so nice. accommodating staff. highway can be a bit noisy but its not too bad the birds are quite loud at 4am but i wont complain about nature thats what i came here for!! the tent sites in this cluster are a bit close but not bad at all. thank you shadow mountain!!

Decent camp. Close to roadway. Started to back in to spot. Worker drove by on his golf cart. Stopped and asked if I wanted help backing in. I said sure. He went to the back of the coach and guided me back. Further and further I went. Still signaling me to continue to back up I backed right into a huge tree. Hit my light at the top rear of rig. Smashed light in. Didn’t even say sorry. Just looked and me got on his golf cart and drove away. Very disappointed with that experience.
Once backed in the fire pit is literally 5 ft from rig. Did not feel comfortable making a fire that close to coach.

We stayed in an RV for one night. The site was easy to find, had nice hanging lights, but we could not use them because we had to unplug them to use the electricity. If there was another hook up we could NOT find it. It was after hours when we arrived and cell service is not good. The bathroom facilities were nice and clean and a short walk from our site. The ground is not very level on this site and we were in a rental RV without a good way to level out so we slept a little crooked. Otherwise a nice campsite with a general store!

Overall experience was good. Campsite B had a lot of mosquitoes in the evening but fire pit was great. The women’s bathroom keypad was not working properly and the door was often left insecure which is problematic.
Quiet and chill location otherwise.

Site F is in a nice spot in the trees but the highway noise was a bit much. Plus it sits on the edge of a slope so when it really rains, the rain rushes towards your tent. Still a beautiful spot and we'll maintained grounds. The ground keeper Vern is the man, polite and very helpful. Thank you

Site B is the tent site to have at Shadow Mountain. Kinda tucked away and shielded from the highway noise. Overall our experience was good. And the grounds caretaker, Vern is the man. Was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great spot for a quick layover, or a longer stay in an RV. The site is lovely, the bathrooms and showers were clean and worked well, and the store is friendly and well stocked. The tent sites are very close to the highway, although shielded by trees and private, so you need to be ok with truck noise at night. I would definitely stay there again.

We had people show up to campsite B next to us and at first they were fine but then they had 5 or so extra guests that came and partied with them until after 3 am. I am not a big complainer and the music and loud carrying on wasn’t a big concern until several of them were very drunk and started arguing. It felt unsafe. I was very surprised that no one came and said anything to them since I don’t think they even paid for that spot much less all the rules for quiet time were out the window with these people.

Site K where we stayed was mainly just dirt and the road noise from 101 made for a little less than great for sleep. The bathrooms were clean and maintained as well as the grounds. Great location as its proximity to lake crescent and Marymere falls is just a short drive away. The convenient store is convenient but pretty steep on prices. I would give it a 6.5 out of 10.

The campground is nice and quiet, not busy (upper half of park is all residents living full time). We have a 37’ fifth wheel, and it is tricky to pull in and out due to the steep hills, and campsite not being level. But once you’re in, it’s great. We stayed at site #2 and it was spacious and beautiful, we stayed for 7 days. Camp owners are friendly, store is great and convenient with delicious ice cream, and there’s so much to do nearby to the rv park. No wifi and limited cell reception.

Surprisingly easy to find given the amount of instructions we received to get there. I was worried we’d be driving in the dark trying to find the place but the host was very proactive with the instructions so we got there super easy! Cute area, very quiet and private.

Campground information did not say there was full hookups or you had to maneuver a steep hill to park your camper. Although sceptic was too far back in spot to use since there was a picnic table at the end of the spot and I signed a form saying I would not move the picnic table. Was surprised by the wonderful laundry on site
Allot of long term visitors—was surprised not to see more travelers as it was such a nice facility with a well stocked country store and friendly staff. Never did ever meet Staci!

We had a great time tent camping in site D, the other campsites were very close on either side of our site but the other campers were quiet and respectful. We loved the convenance of having the general store on site, it had everything you could need including firewood and ice and the store employees were so kind and helpful! It was super close to lake crescent which is beautiful and perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking since the water is so clear! We would definitely recommend this camp site!

The location is the best thing about this campground. From there, we were able to visit Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park and a beautiful county park along the north coast within short driving distances. The campground itself is very professional with bathrooms, water spigots and clearly marked spots.
