It was good place just they sent me the code code for the bathroom until the last day of my staying and it was not fun wait until somebody was going in to the bathroom
We really enjoyed our stay here! It is very close to the highway but it didn’t bother us at all and the hot showers were so great after a long day. Very close to Lake Crescent and even has cute lights strung across the camp which gave the campsite a nice aesthetic.

Due to an unexpected work delay, we arrived late at night and left early in the morning so we didn’t get to fully enjoy the campground. But the instructions and communication were excellent and we were grateful for a safe place to crash for the night.
We were up and hiking before 9am and enjoying the PNW.

Overall the campground was descent. It’s a great location for getting to different parts of the Olympics. The site’s utilities all worked as expected. The sites are located on the side of a hill so you do have to drive up a gravel road to get to them. Some of the spots can be challenging to get into if you have anything over 28ft. We took a walk through the other sites and there seems to be quite a few people who use the campground as their primary residence. The bathrooms were clean and taken care of. The tables at some of the sites had seen some better days and were starting the fall apart. Not a bad campground if you’re looking for something you just park the camper to sleep at night and venture out during the day.

I have read some other reviews and here are my thoughts: if you have a really long rig (40ft+) yes it is going to be very challenging to maneuver as there are some tight turns and uphill situations. We had zero problems with a 21ft trailer and truck. Everyone that was a full time resident was polite, kept to themselves, and we did not have any issues with them. The campground was well maintained, trash was picked up regularly, and the grass was mowed. The store was a welcome addition and we enjoyed that amenity. We would definitely book the same site again!
The bathrooms are nice other than the men's shower didn't stay hot, the girls was fine but my boyfriend didn't get to shower for more than a minute or so before it went cold on him twice. There is laundry which was really nice and convenient since it rained and hail stormed for 20 minutes out of the blue, but you do need quarters to run the washer and dryer. The store was convenient and nice for getting extra food and what not. I had yo use ear plugs at night because of the highway being close by. Also sites H, I, and J are on a slant not very level. I have mixed feelings. There was an incident that happened where a couple got into a fight a few sites away from us and they were yelling and the guy was really drunk. His girlfriend took off and he was opening the people's tent next to us and scared them so my daughter was scared and I had to move her tent. Also I had to park down below and forgot to lock my car and the drunk guy slept in my car. Thankfully he didn't steal anything but weird experience. Im not sure how to feel but I would maybe try it out again sometime the location is nice for the surrounding lakes and I was able to reserve when most other campsites were full.

The bathrooms were clean and the store was useful. However, the L site next to the highways don’t have much flat area to set the camps, we whereby allowed to leave the car next to the campsite and the noise from the highway (road) was very loud. Had to buy earplugs

Non stop sewer smell. The grounds keeper was friendly and helpful. Store staff was just ok and not very excited to be working there. It was great to have flushing toilets and good showers. It's a decent place to stay, but I wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of days.

It’s not a bad little campground. It was a good spot for us to bass camp and visit Olympic national Park and go to many different trails and sites. The bathrooms are pretty clean. They stayed on top of that as well as getting the garbage picked up. The only thing I wish was that there’s a little more privacy between the campers but overall it’s a good little RV park.

Grateful for hot showers and coin laundry available. Very reasonable price for all you get included. I met some lovely neighbors there and had close access to many of the Olympic Park destinations I needed to get to.
Not a bad spot for a quick overnight in the car. While there was a lot of light and noise from the road, a good eye cover and earplugs will work just fine. I didn't need either and slept well.
I was surprised by how clean and organized everything was. Close to the bathroom (with lights strung to guide the path), clean toilets, showers, and trash cans. I would definitely stay again!

Easy check in, nice site, friendly store. Convenient to Port Angeles.
We enjoyed our night camping here. Beautiful views on the hillside. There is a general store in the campground with almost anything you would need. You cannot pull your car up to your site, which was a bit inconvenient but we made due. Bathrooms are nice! Very beautiful campsite.

The campsite is great, close to the lakes, but our neighbors were loud and the after reported to the host it looks they didnt do much becaue they didn't stop being loud and partying until almost midnight.

This was a lovely RV and tent camp with many amenities including a bathroom and showers, water and electric hookup, and close to Lake Sutherland and Lake Crescent. Beautiful!

A great site for a day at lake crescent. The bathrooms were clean and the site was nice. It is very close to the highway (as advertised) so if road noise is a problem for you I wouldn’t reccomend but otherwise a great place.

The sites were a bit smaller than I anticipated/appeared online, but it was so great to be able to get a site not too far from the lake and without booking 6-9 months in advance. The bathrooms were nice and we enjoyed seeing the market lights that are set up at the sites below us. I would stay here again.

The grass was a little hard to put stakes in and there some was noise with the traffic, but overall very good!
The tent was clean and perfect for our stay. The entire campground was actually very convenient in terms of location and amenities. My only complaint is how close and visible it was to the road. For one, it is loud (definitely bring earplugs), but my main concern was proximity. It is a safe area but I would have liked some kind of barrier between the campsite and the road - a gate, a line of trees, anything. There wasn't any. It was fully visible to the road and cars could just pull into the gas station and drive right to the campsites. Otherwise it was very nice. Great location and comfortable spot!

This was listed as tent/RV dispersed camping, but the dispersed sites just consist of a steep hill/field RIGHT off the highway. We have a small van camper and there wasn't really anywhere to park it except in the gas station/general store parking lot. The whole experience was pretty awkward and not great.

The place was very neat, clean, and well-maintained. We stayed for just one night, primarily because we wanted to watch the meteor shower from Lake Crescent, which is conveniently located right next to the property.
The only drawback is that the tent is fairly close to the highway, so there can be some traffic noise at night. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. To their credit, this is clearly mentioned on their website beforehand, which I appreciated.
Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for anyone visiting the Lake Crescent area.

I had a great stay here! I stayed in the dispersed camping area and slept in my car, and everything was exactly as described. The facilities were great, especially the hot shower, which was definitely a plus. There’s also a camp store with essentials, which was really convenient. The camp is close to the road, so there is some road noise, but other than that it felt cozy and comfortable. Overall, a really nice place to stay at a very fair price. I’d definitely stay here again!

I don't know that we'd stay in the other sites at Shadow Mountain, just because proximity is too close for our liking, but we really liked site 2. It had plenty of room and was backed up to the trees, which was nice.
Tent camping area was very confusing (also not flat) and I couldn't figure out where to park. Someone who I can only assume was staff walked up to me and gave me a card after I got out of my car and walked away. It said "congratulations you parked like an asshole." I asked him where I was supposed to park and he said I needed to turn my car so it was facing the other way. Why couldn't he have just said that to begin with?? Also highway noise was insane and the string lights stayed on all night shining through my tent so I couldn/t sleep. Definitely not worth the money.
Nice spot! Bathrooms and showers were clean! They do state that you can hear road noise, that is true, but not terribly.
