Elwha RV Park

We tent-camped in the site called the Nook. It was a bit sloped but worked. We enjoyed the set-up with a clump of blackberries in the center of the site - yum! Clubhouse and bathrooms were clean. Although the sites were mostly filled, it was overall very quiet. Great base camp for our daily excursions into Olympic National Park.

Great facility, clean, loved the location and beauty. However, the plots are way too close together. No privacy or space between groups. Hardly any trees or bushes to separate. We would not return for this reason.

Really enjoyed staying here. The campground has a great common area with a microwave, refrigerator, oven, and stove, which made cooking and relaxing much more convenient. The shower facilities were also clean and well maintained, making it easy to freshen up after a day outdoors. Overall, the campground is comfortable, well-equipped, and a great place to stay. I’d definitely recommend it.

The campground had all the amenities you could need like flushing toilets, laundry, and a designated sink area for washing dishes. A HUGE downside to our site was the close proximity to other sites. There was a super tight cluster of three sites (including our site) that were basically on top of one another and the lack of privacy was a big bummer. What further added to the disappointment was the picture of the site posted on Hipcamp was very misleading. Definitely would not come back here again

This place was well-maintained and conveniently located to Port Angeles. If you like quiet and dark camping, the dry sites were great - no streetlights to keep you up. The family recreation area had a basketball net and a volleyball net, but nothing for younger kids, so bring your own stuff for them. The bathrooms were spotless. Everyone we talked to at the front desk was incredible friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Elwha RV Park, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Site T18 was cozy and secluded from the rest of camp, perfect for two adults. Had the cleanest porta potty nearby if you didn't want to walk to the actual bathrooms (which were also super clean). Elwha RV Park is a great base as you visit nearby attractions, highly recommend!

I loved how clean the space is! It’s fairly quiet and the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming. They even deliver your firewood to your lot for you!! You have free access to a full kitchen to wash your dishes in, and the facilities overall are extremely well kept and clean. Will definitely consider coming back here again!

I was impressed with how quiet, peaceful, and very clean the place was, even with it being crowded. The tent sites are fairly private, with plenty of trees dividing the spots. I arrived after the office had closed, but the instructions and map to find my tent spot were clear and I had no trouble finding my way. the showers and bathrooms were well maintained and clean. I'll definitely be back.

5 stars! We had tentsite T12 which was wonderful. Do be advised that it is quite difficult to sink stakes in the ground - we ended up tying the edge of our tent to a rock and the edge of the picnic table. The overall campground vibes were so nice and community-oriented -- we loved hanging out at the outdoor bar seating/play area, and the highlight of our week was cutting some lettuce leaves from the community garden for a fresh salad. Would stay here again.

I had a great experience in the campground. I stayed in the tent area, which was tucked away from the RV area. Unfortunately, the sites were pretty damn close to each other, but I was lucky enough to have the area all for myself. The campground had a clubhouse with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms with a shower. As a woman travelling solo, I felt safe the whole time I was there. Lots of families everywhere with kids playing and laughing. It was a great experience. I would most definitely come back! Oh, and they guided me to my campsite in a golf cart. I thought that was a pretty cool touch. Very friendly and proactive staff!

Chris's land was incredible, so many things to do and beauty everywhere. A great spot for jumping off to see all the things in the area. The site itself was perfect for our car camping needs, nestled into the trees so it felt private but did not feel cramped. Bathrooms were super clean! Will definitely be back when we are in the area

Perfect size campground for our 6-person tent. It was a little closer to another campsite than we’d typically prefer but there were no issues. Showers/bathrooms were spacious and clean, which is a huge plus (most places the bathrooms are eh)! Super close to Hurricane Ridge area of Olympic NP and Port Angeles, while still feeling tucked away and secluded.

The campground is really well maintained and very clean. It's nice and quiet at night, and the common areas are great! The bathrooms were spotless and the hot shower after a day of hiking is a godsend! Some of the tent sites are close to each other, but not cramped together, so you still get enough room and privacy. The staff is great and they had great suggestions for where to go explore depending on your interests, and the campground's app is great as a resource too!

Solo traveling though the Olympic National Forest and stumbled upon this magical campground for one night of car camping. Grounds are very well-maintained and the amenities are top notch. The art pieces and garden are lovely. Conveniently located to several hiking areas and attractions. Highly recommend and will be coming back for a longer stay!

Van camping in the Nook at Elwha was quiet and peaceful! The hosts were super accommodating of my last minute vehicle change and helped me find a place that would fit a large campervan. The bathroom was warm, which was perfect for showering after a week on the road, but also a bit far from my campsite (an oversight on my part). I’m not sure if this is normal, but both porta-jons near me were locked- didn’t have a chance to ask the hosts about it since I was mostly away during operating hours. Having WiFi was a nice surprise, which helped me stay in the loop about events planned at the fungi festival. Overall, Very nice amenities and hosts!

We tent camped on site T18. The signage was amazing and we never felt lost, unlike at some other HipCamps we have been to. The facilities were clean, showers hot. Plus, our car battery died and the owners came out and helped us at 6 in the morning, which just shows what good people are running this place. 10/10 would recommend and definitely plan on coming back next year!

Great location, close to Blackball

I needed a quick spot close to the Blackball Ferry that runs from Port Angeles to Victoria. I wasn’t arriving until after 7pm Sunday night and had to be at the ferry 15mins away at 7:20am on Monday. I needed close. I needed easy to find. I need clean and safe. I needed no issues for after hour arrivals. This place ticked ALL those boxes! I will return when needing to take the ferry again for more fun adventures on Vancouver Island. BUT I will also be back to explore the area. I’ve been exploring the OP for years and have my fave spots but they were too far for my needs on this trip. But they are perfectly located for exploring great nearby spots.
