Now owned by the Pinson Family, this land was originally purchased by the Schmitt Family nearly a century ago in the small town of Joyce, Washington, back when fishing was the only draw to this beautiful landscape. There is access to a private boat ramp, seaside privacy, and it is surrounded by beautiful trees.
Hand built rustic cabins line the coastline. Each has it's own unique name. Folks have been escaping to Whiskey Creek Beach for generations as a way to unplug from the hustle and bustle of todays busy lifestyle. With names like "Halibut Hole," "Codfish Cottage," and "Captain's Quarters," the charm is undeniable. The waves crashing over a pebble beach lull you to sleep, and the salt in the air wakes you in the morning. A private boat launch is very difficult to find anywhere on the sound. The boat launch at Whiskey Creek Beach is the only one between Fresh Water Bay and Sekiu.
Whiskey Creek Beach is a place you really must experience it in person. In a busy world, full of demands and obligations, it is rare to find a place so close that feels so far away. This truly is PNW living at it's finest.

Our land is dog friendly. We ask that your dog remain on a leash and that you bag and trash your poo at all spots visited in the great wild olympics! Our property is not fenced and we are on a road corner.
We have a 16' aluminum Canoe for rent with lifejackets and paddles. We love paddling on Lake Sutherland or Crescent Lake! Both of these spots are about a 20 minutes drive from our place (Canoe rental is $50/day)

Great little stop along our road trip. Was nice to have power and the little mini heater. We stayed comfortable through the night. Appreciated the clean porta potty on site and potable water too.

My husband and I loved our stay in the cedar shed at Coyote Meadow Basecamp. We planned a last-minute getaway, and were thrilled to find this location: close to Port Angeles and the road to Hurricane Ridge (where we were headed to watch a meteor shower), but secluded enough to be peaceful. The shed had lots of room and everything we needed. We enjoyed taking walks along the dead-end road in the evenings and saw deer several times. We hope to return!

This place is a gorgeous and quiet escape! We stayed in lot #3, the crow's nest. This RV has a beautifully furnished space, and the hosts have put careful thought into providing all essentials for staying, including pantry items, toiletries, and additional amenities. It's a joy to be able to enjoy the nature, while staying in a comfortable space. The views from this place are otherworldly, any time of the day. But definitely checkout the sunrise and sunset times, as the fog gently lifts and reveals the beauty of the landscape. On top of this, the hosts Deon and Kevin and extremely pleasant and readily tended to our requests. 10/10 would recommend! ✨

Great host! Rv had everything we needed. Site had nice outdoor shower and toilets. There was plenty of land to play frisbee and soccer with my son. Had stuff to play outdoor games too.

Weekend Trip to Shirewoods Farm
We loved staying at Rohan Camp! The tents were beautiful, and really nicely decorated. It felt like Aragorn could stride in at any time (alas, he did not). Bernadette went out of her way to set up lights for us so we could find the camp at night. We never did meet the goats, but we could hear them and the sheep, chickens and rooster. It was nice to have a bathhouse (composting and regular toilets) and excellent hot showers. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in the area. There are several cool choices for accommodation on the property!

Weekend Trip to Shirewoods Farm
Shirewoods farm was an absolute delight. The wagon was comfortable, the farm fresh eggs were delicious, and the farm tour was delightful and informative. Bernadette is an absolute joy and helped our stay be as comfortable as possible. The location made day adventures easy and convenient. Would absolutely recommend!

For a first attempt at camping, it was actually a great experience. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their time as it offered something different than being in the city. We didn't go with the expectation of full privacy, so seeing other tents in close proximity didn't matter much. I loved the chic designs all around and how outdoorsy the showers were. My only damper was the portable potty. On our first day, they were extremely clean, but on check-out day, you could smell it from afar. Probably because it was the weekend. Otherwise, everything else was great. I'd definitely recommend it.

Amazing glamping experience!! 10/10
Will definitely be back. So close to Lake Crescent. Site 6 was perfect, not as much noise from the kitchen and bathrooms that I would assume some other sites may have.

She had a very cute decoration and was very responsive. The cam had everything I needed , including romantic candles(battery) and solar lights.
And she even let me know when I left my xtra key and arranged for me to pick up with ease.
I loved the LOTR theme!

I would totally recommend Staci as a host. She was super accommodating and responded quickly when we had an issue!
The property is safe and clean. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest staying further into the campground. It is right on the hwy and trucks go by all night. She does state that in the description I was just not prepared for how loud it would be.

I absolutely recommend this camp site. The location is a little out of the way but the views and stillness were totally worth it. The camper at campsite 3 was luxurious to say the least. Deon and Kevin went above and beyond to leave the camper clean and well equipped. The living room/dining room were extremely cozy. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Don’t let this distance fool you, the Kaptain is a hidden gem.

Beautiful area! The asthetic details made me feel like I was camped in a magical part of a forest. It was nice that all the amenities worked also!
The only frustrating part was two children riding bikes and being roudy through our site while we were trying to enjoy time together. Ping pong is fun but also didn't enjoy hearing it and people being loud so late into the night (almost midnight).

Exceeded expectations! Such a cute place with fantastic amenities (and a WiFi hotspot!) right in the forest. The only downside was being able to occasionally hear cars on 101, but that was really not a big deal. Lovely tent, kitchen, bathroom, ping pong table… all the things! Hoping to be back.

The stay was exceptional! We stayed in a wagon that was beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything we needed (a heater, fan, towels, shampoo, all the kitchen utensils, etc.). The location is great, and there is a small provincial park within walking distance. It was great to relax and watch the animals on the farm from the picnic tables on the property. Bernadette is an amazing host - it was great to take a tour of the farm and chat with her. Highly recommend this place!
