Hart Hill
18 sites · RVs, Tents28 acres · QLDHart Hill boasts a stunning 28 acres. Your initial view of the property coming over a Thanes Creek causeway is that of a magnificent rock face. However, 600m down the road, through the gate, and over the ridge, Hart Hill exposes a lovely undulating fold baring a huge panorama of flat alluvial ground that hugs Thanes Creek. Sprinkled with gums, the camping area is based west of the property in a stunning shady lea cooled by the creek and an old windmill for a backdrop. The properties history is colourful. In 1869 the area was a hub for gold diggers wanting to strike it lucky. Old wooden stumps tell a story of an old mining hut, and if you dug in some of the rock heaps you might get a shock when you uncovered more than gold. Visitors can enjoy campfires, fossicking, swimming, kayaking, fishing and more.

Nyalar Mirunganah Nature Refuge
21 sites · RVs, Tents470 acres · North Branch, QLDNEW 2022 We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Tiz Tam Fam Nature Reserve
8 sites · RVs, Tents120 acres · Mount Byron, QLDTiz Tam Fam Nature Reserve is a privately owned nature refuge (officially called Green Catbird Nature Refuge).  We have a passion for protecting the vulnerable and endangered flora, fauna and fungi on the property.  By allowing campers to use our reserve, we get to share the beauty of the property with others and the income helps us manage lantana, weeds and regenerate the land.  We are regenerating some areas to be a native edible food forest to help educate camp goers as to the traditional uses of Australian native plants. The property backs on to the D'Aguilar National Park, with a horse/hiking/mountain bike trail up to Kluver's Lookout. Our crystal clear creek runs most of the year (will dry up when no rain for a long period) and great for paddling feet in to cool off.  Somerset dam is a 45 minute drive away for watersports and other funChildren 2 years and younger are free.

Hope Valley
27 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents1375 acres · Amamoor Creek, QLD4WD Recommended - our driveway's currently very rough after all the rain and you need to drive through two creek beds to get to our front gate. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

The Rustic Resort Wamuran
9 sites · RVs, Tents90 acres · Wamuran, QLDWe are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love peace and nature and like to keep their surroundings beautiful and enjoyable and safe for everyone else. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush , and whilst you may not see your neighbours the bush unfortunately is not sound proof. Due to the unique surroundings we offer, we require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety and to consider your neighbouring campers and our neighbours by observing our no loud music and quiet time of 10pm rules. If this may be a problem for you, please do not book our sites. Full rules are available during booking before you pay and on a tree in each site, we kindly ask you read and agree with them before booking. To all of our wonderful regular campers, we say thank you. We love hosting you on our property and look forward to see you again in the future. After the persistent rain this year, all of our property is advertised as 4WD only, exception is the Dam via gate 4 and Didjabringyabeeralong as it has no particular steep or sloped entry. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. All of our sites have a fire pit and you are welcome to have a campfire while there is no fire ban. in place. Most sites are within easy walking distance from a toilet. The Secret Hideaway however has a fairly long walk to the toilet, should this be unmanageable for you, please make sure you bring your own camping toilet as we get rather upset with holes or waste in the bush. Our property is dog-friendly to responsible dog owners, has a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming dam only, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) it is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easy to get into the dam and there are floating noodles for your use during the summer months, feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains, Stoney creek, Rocky holes, Bribie island, Woodford, Mt Mee, Montville, Maleny and much much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. Wamuran has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, a bakery, a fish and chip shop and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There now is a Pizza van in town, 3 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. If you have any questions please drop us a message.
