Lovely grassy spot with great views. Enjoyed our fire watching it get dark and seeing the lights over Toowoomba after dark. There was a fair bit of road noise but this did not bother us or wake us during the night. Easy to find. Would recommend.

A little difficult to find, some signage wouldn’t go astray. Otherwise was a nice place to stay. Bit of road noise (we were in a camper trailer) and sites are not individually signed but fairly easy to determine. Would be difficult in the dark though. Beautiful view and nice mowed green grassy sites. Individual fire pits on some of the sites.

Emu Creek is looking sensational with recent rains Come and enjoy these camp sites, situated on the banks of Emu Creek which has just had a nice fresh flow. Enjoy the swimming holes whilst they last! There is partial shade and relatively level area to camp. Great bird watching, spot a platypus if you are lucky. Camp fires allowed pending the current drought conditions. Lots to do nearby- horse riding at Cowboy Up, drive up to the Bunyas with a couple of national parks close by. Crows Nest is fast becoming a town not to be missed with the renovation of the Nolan Store, Crows Nest Cordials factory, visit the Valley of Diamonds. There are no facilities here, campers will need to BYO camp toilet and leave no trace. Pets permitted, but please be respectful with pets as we have cattle and horses on the property and neighbours property.

Our property is located 18km north of Toowoomba, and features open flat paddock area with grass. Enjoy the evenings around the dedicated firepit (firewood is available under Extras). Children aged 10 and under camp for free. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. KOOKABURRAS KACKLE RULES TO LOOK AFTER OUR BEAUTIFUL MINI HOME 1) Beware of the ECO TOILET system. Rules of upkeep are on the wall at the back of the toilet.Please follow the instructions to care for this environmentally friendly system. 2) No smoking indoors. 3) When smoking outdoors extinguish the butt appropriately and discard rubbish in the bin. 4) Leave outdoor shoes at the door. 5) If you have visitors come and stay you must tell them to look after the place and not cause a problem. 6) Water is scarce. Please be mindful of long showers and leaving taps on or dripping. 7) A small bin is provided in the kitchen for food scraps. 8) General waste a bin is situated outside of the mini house. 9) No pets in the house at all. This will incur a fine if found out. All pets must be pets must be on a chain at all times. 10) RESPECT OUR PROPERTY PLEASE. This campsite is raising money for a midwife clinic that we run in Vanuatu.

Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. Please note that there are other dogs and animals in the area. We also have loud grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night. When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take. Drive up to the sign and call number on sign. Please wait for staff member to come out and greet you in your car. LONG TERM RENTALS AVAILABLE TALK TO THE TEAM FOR MORE INFORMATION Amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina. ADULTS ONLY STRICTLY NO CHILDREN. LIMITED SITES. Top Paddock power, Top Paddock powered and Paddock Camp unpowered we have gas camp style showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). THERES 2 PIT SHOWERS, HOWEVER NOT ALWAYS WORKING. There are also 3 x BUSH/PIT toilets in the camp areas. In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins. Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper. National Parks, walking trails, Wineries, Gourmet Pubs and Restaurants, Markets, two magnificent parks with play areas for children and so many other points of interest to see and discover. Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Located on 250 acres, Empty Pockets farm is a cattle and crop farm on mixed country from rolling hills to tree lined creek banks. Privacy is guaranteed with a number of spacious sites available along two seasonal creeks and one site overlooking rolling hills and distant mountains. As a working cattle farm there are often inquisitive calves around. There are tracks right around the property for walking and exploring.
