Be as private or as social as you want. We have a massive dam for swimming or catching yabbies. Camp sites with water front views and the Bunya mountains in the distance. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Come for a walk around the farm with farmer Jono. You can help out with odd jobs like collecting eggs and checking the veggies for the full farm experience. Campfires are welcome, please ensure you check restrictions at the time of your stay and supervise campfires at all times. We are 5kms from the bustling town of Jandowae. Our property is located an hour from Toowoomba, 15min Dalby, 5min Kaimkillenbun (The Bun), has stunning views to the Bunya Mountains from all campsites. All Sites have views of the Bunya Mountains. Easy access sites, for short/long stays. We also have a campsite near the dam, which is full after good rains. The other sites are in elevated positions, that look down the valley towards the Bunya Mountains. The town of Kaimkillenbun (6 km) is known by locals as 'The Bun' easy driving distance to the "Bun Pub" which was built in 1912 and is a great spot to visit for a drink/meal if you are coming to the area. We are 30 minutes' drive, from the Bunya Mountains National Park which has a variety of different hiking/cycling trails which include lookouts and waterfalls. Campfires are allowed, permitting there are no restrictions in place. Campers must be self sufficient, bring their own toilet and take all waste with them on departure.

Here at 'Waratan Park' in Oakey QLD, we offer a peaceful, animal friendly stay on our 120 acre property, away from the crowds, but close to town, and only a short drive to Toowoomba. We have a large grassed area for your van, very level, with plenty of space. Enjoy views of the animals from your camp chair. All campers must be self contained with their own toilet and shower, can empty grey water ONLY. There is a dump point less than 1km down the road. We have unpowered sites, along with two sites that have access to power and water. Important - We are a working farm, and have 6 farm dogs on site. Whilst we can accept bookings with pets, you MUST run this by us before making a booking. Any visiting pets must be kept on a lead at all times while on the property. Oakey is a small but great country town, approximately 30km west of Toowoomba. Some nearby attractions include an Australian Army Flying Museum, Oakey Historical Museum, and we're a short 20 minute drive up the road from the Jondaryan Woolshed. Local shops include an IGA, Foodworks, RSL, Tavern, 1 pub with great Friday night entertainment (no meals), bakery, cafe, kebab shop, takeaway, hospital and ambulance 24/7, chemists, hairdressers and local mechanics, Toyota dealership and several service stations, all in close proximity. What a great spot! The powered sites are very big and just what I was looking for, and Caitlin was more than hospitable for us during our stay. They are currently installing a small toilet/shower block which will enhance this place even more. Definitely recommend staying here if you can, the friendly dogs were also an added bonus!

Peace, Serenity, Cows, Stars and a lovely friendly host. This is what you can expect when staying here at Bunya Mountain View. We had a lovely stay here and took our caravan up to the top of the hill. Directions were easy to follow and Chris was just awesome to deal with.

Weekend Trip to Waratan Park

Rowen & Brad are wonderful people, they went above and beyond to help my sister and I. Brad was absolutely amazing with the kids taking them to the horses and letting them feed them and giving them quad rides while showing them how things worked on the farm. We had such a relaxing time at their farm, the views of the property are lovely and we were to feel like part of the family, we will definitely be back in the future.

My husband camped here overnight and loved the peace, tranquillity & beautiful sunset on the farm. His site was next to a small dam and luckily he had the whole place to himself that night. Thank you for the great hospitality and delicious breakfast & fresh eggs.
