Large, private site with creek

Wonderful, large, private site. Plenty of room to spread out. Lots of trees (endless hammock hanging options) and shade, but also enough sunlight coming through in areas to power our solar. We enjoyed the creek — especially great for our dogs and 5 year old son because it’s shallow and gentle. We found oodles of crawdads, saw the heron, saw one (harmless) snake, several hummingbirds, and heard the owls at night and in the morning. Just as a heads up, far off in the distance you can hear some shouting and gunshots, but I was reassured when I remembered there’s a paintball place down the road. The noise is truly distant, it was just disconcerting until I realized what I heard. There’s a port-a-potty but we set up our own potty so that it was closer by, mainly for our son. We loved the visits from two farm dogs. We’d definitely return, especially since the site is so close to Baltimore.

Secluded and private campsite on the creek. Convenient to Gettysburg. I stayed two nights and enjoyed my evenings next to the creek.
This is our second time at hang town, and I cannot stress how perfect it is. I’ve been to enough Hipcamps now to be able to say this is by far the best one. It feels like you’re in the middle of no where, when actually it’s pretty convenient to anything. We had a couple storms so we ventured out one day. Literally a mile away is an awesome micro brewery and a bowling alley. But if you’re lucky enough to have sunshine your whole trip, you won’t need to go anywhere. They have trails, adorable animals, streams, even a CLEAN porta potty! Ben is a great host, thank you for another amazing stay!!!

Beautiful well maintained property. The site was private, peaceful and quiet. Perfect proximity to the creek. Primitive camp setting but town is close by if you need something. Porta Potty was close and clean. Host was welcoming and responsive. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved camping with BenJamin! We booked both sites for a larger group, and we had tons of space. It was easy to find, the streams and woods were gorgeous, and the friendly dogs were a nice perk :)

Unfortunately, we decided to leave due to fireworks and or firearms that we’re going off very close to our camp. Despite trying to contact our host, we did not get a response to multiple text messages. Eventually, the owner of the property, Ben’s father, came out to investigate, but we had already decided to leave since a couple hours had passed since we tried to contact our Ben. Ben’s father could not be more apologetic and nice. He clearly had no idea where the disturbance was coming from. Unfortunatel for them. He did mention that on another occasion they did have an issue where guns were being fired possibly from a neighboring property that has a paintball facility? Hopefully they can get this figured out because I’m sure this was just a one off incident. I read all the reviews before we booked this site and they all were excellent.
That being said, the site was nice. It was clean. It was level and we hated to leave, but we did not feel safe enough to stay.
Really wonderful site, we camped with 3 families with dogs and toddlers age 1-3. Beautiful site by the water, kind and helpful hosts. It stormed some of the time we were there but the site drained quickly and we had a great time anyway! The hiking trails are beautifully maintained and the goats were a fun touch to visit. We'd love to come back!

Another wonderful trip! We had an incredible time exploring the property and relaxing. Our dog was so happy when Hopper and Rosie came to visit. There’s something special about camping and sitting by a fire near moving water!
AWESOME PROPERTY AND SITE! Our site right by the creek was beautiful and we were so happy that the site was also not over cleared. Plenty of trees and shade to provide a proper canopy over our heads. My buddy and I went and had three kids total in toe, all under 10, and the boys absolutely loved it. Ben was in contact with us early, and was available to address any of our concerns. 10 out of 10 recommend !
Beautiful place to camp! Hopper the farm dog is an excellent host that constantly shepherded us on our hikes and greeted us first thing in the morning. Plus, he's a real charmer!
We came to Hang Town for a group bachelor/Bachelorette weekend with 12 people and we had an amazing time. The property is amazing. So much to explore and see, and the farm dogs are excellent company! Benjamin and his family were so friendly and welcoming, everyone had a phenomenal time.
What a beautiful spot. We camped here together with another family and had such a delightful time. Our host was responsive and the descriptions for arrival, water access, etc were all spot on. We highly recommend and would love to visit again.
The stream running alongside the site was beautiful! We appreciated the clean portapotty and fire pit as well. The site is close by to groceries, gas station, and smallish towns, so the site isn’t the most isolated or silent but it was easy to grab anything we needed! Ben was responsive and helpful as a host.

We have really enjoyed both sides of fiddlers green, with our big group of families. We like the creek, the proximity to Baltimore and walking to see the goats.
Big Pipe Creek campsite was lovely! Hopper the site doggie came to say hello which was a lovely treat for all of us.

Beautiful as always. This is our fourth time and its always clean and very well maintained. Ben is a great host !! Had a great time camping with our neighbors and enjoyed the trails. Loved seeing the farm dogs - Hopper and Rosie ❤️
I had an amazing stay at Fiddlers Green Farm. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, with beautiful open land and a true countryside feel. It’s the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature away from the noise of the city.
The campsites are clean, spacious, and well-kept, with plenty of room to feel comfortable and private. Everything felt well organized, and the surroundings made the whole experience even better—especially during sunrise and sunset, which were absolutely stunning.
One of the best parts was how quiet and safe the area felt. It’s great for families, friends, or even solo campers looking for a calm getaway. The farm adds a unique charm that makes this spot stand out from typical campgrounds.
Overall, I highly recommend Fiddlers Green Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable camping experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Bear Branch Creekside is a cool little spot. Host Ben and family take good care of the property. The site was clean and equipped with a stone fire ring, picnic table, and honor-system firewood. The ground is fairly level all around and it's just a short walk to the creek itself. The porta-let is also just a short distance from camp. We had beautiful weekend weather, as well, which made this site even better! We will be back, I'm sure!

We loved tent camping here. It's very peaceful camping next to the river.
Such a peaceful place. Ben was great. The site is large and would host a good size group.
This place was great. The site sits right above a wide creek and there is tons of space to cook, eat, play, and sleep, all with the sound of running water in the background. We didn't catch any fish, but had a blast playing in the creek. This Ben's land is special and we'll definitely be back.

Great spot to camp in for first time campers or seasoned ones. Ben is a gracious host and his dogs are a great little treat when they stop by for a visit.
The farm is beautiful, private, and peaceful. Plenty of space to stretch out & make ourselves comfortable. Laying in the hammock listening to the water run was great & even with crazy weather we had an amazing time. Looking forward to our next trip already.

Second time here and we love this camp. This time we tried out in winter/rain and we enjoyed it. Ben as always is a great host ! Very responsive. The site is neat as always and it looks like it has a new picnic bench too 😁 We had a surprise visit from the farm ambassador - Hopper the dog. Very sweet and friendly. Hopper and my dog had a blast in the morning running around. This is our favorite himpcamp spot around Frederick and will definitely be back again soon. It's great for family with kids and pets. Highly recommend!
