In 2013, the Lang Family purchased a picturesque piece of Central Texas land in a small community they had never heard of - Gause, Texas.  Having four Junior and Senior High school aged children, the property was meant to be a weekend, hunting getaway from the hustle and bustle of Houston suburbia.  What they did not expect, was to fall in love with their daughter’s Heritage Hereford show calves and the farming lifestyle.  What started out as three, is now a herd of over fifty registered Hereford Cattle. Vernon and Melissa are now living full time on their ranch and pouring their hearts and souls into improving the eco-system that God has blessed them with.  Richer soils, greener pastures, and healthier, happier livestock is what it is all about!  Everyday they are educating themselves and implementing sustainable farming methods in order to heal the land.   4C Market welcomes you to be a part of this adventure by purchasing high quality, pasture raised meats, eggs and dairy products.  Vernon and Melissa also love to cook!  Vernon is a true Texan pit master and Melissa is a hometown Cajun girl.  When you visit the Market, you will find samples of their culinary gems waiting for you in the kitchen.  From a simmering pot of gumbo, to freshly baked breads and mouthwatering sweets, there is something to please every palette, from our farm to your table!

      Fishing Success
      The pond was a hit as all of my kids landed fish. Lots of trees and armadillos. Loved feeling secluded but not far from civilization. Responsive owners.

      Amazing host and a beautiful experience. It was one of the best camping experiences of my life. My daughter spent a lot of time with the farm animals, and Melissa invited us to participate in some of the work, which was a fantastic experience for the entire family. The campsite was fantastic with easy access to water and 30amp electricity. I would love to come back at some other time!

      NOT ONE MOSQUITO BITE!!!!
      We had a great experience at this little farm. First off we did NOT get a single Mosquito bite!!! (A Texas Miracle!) I ran my car battery down setting up camp and they let me borrow their charger to fix the problem. I have multiple sclerosis and the ability to rent their ATV made it so easy to get around. Our two year old was absolutely infatuated with the cows. There were no stickers which is a huge deal with kids that wear flip flops. The pool was a life saver. The food was great from the store as well. Next time I will bring an extra ice chest just to bring home more meat and dairy products from the store. Would highly recommend!! My dogs even loved it here!!!

      I loved car camping here. It was peaceful, spacious, and so cool to camp at a working ranch. Melissa was extremely welcoming and I would recommend this place to anyone.

      I loved camping at 4C! Melissa was so sweet and informative, and we found a great spot to set up our tents with our pups. We would definitely book to camp again and even come by the store again for a day trip!

      Just wonderful
      We had a wonderful stay at 4C Ranch Adventure. Such a peaceful, idyllic place with beautiful big trees, grassy meadows and lots of birds and wildlife. We sampled two of the beers (both really good) and bought some of Melissa's cookies, sourdough bread, gumbo, salsa, fresh eggs, bacon, ground beef and smoked turkey. All delicious, especially the gumbo, yum! Our two boys loved making friends with the horses and Lucy the dog, and swimming in the pool. The sites are spread far apart so although there were other campers there, we were not disturbed by them at all and had plenty of privacy. We're excited to have found this gem only a couple of hours from home and will most certainly be going back.
